Web hosting for WooCommerce, matched to the store.
Shared, managed, cloud and dedicated hosting can all run WooCommerce; what differs is speed under load, security and who looks after the server. DIGITALON builds WooCommerce stores on the Sunshine Coast and offers managed WordPress hosting on Australian servers.
Not all hosting suits a store.
WooCommerce runs on almost any hosting that supports WordPress, which is why the choice is easy to get wrong. Low-cost shared hosting can serve a quiet store well and struggle on its first sale day; a dedicated server is wasted on ten orders a week. The right kind depends on the catalogue, the traffic you expect and who will look after the server.
We build stores on WordPress and WooCommerce and host them on our managed WordPress hosting, on Australian servers, or on the host you choose. Our Advanced plan is built for small online stores, with Redis caching and backups every 12 hours; Premium gives larger stores a dedicated server. Prices and inclusions are on our WordPress hosting page.

The kinds of hosting a store can use.
From the least to the most capable. Each suits a different stage of a WooCommerce store.
Shared hosting
Many websites share one server's memory and processing. It is the lowest-cost option and can suit a small, quiet store, but a busy neighbour or your own sale can slow the checkout, and WordPress upkeep usually falls to you.
Managed WordPress hosting
A hosting team looks after the server environment for WordPress: PHP upgrades, SSL, firewall, monitoring and backups. Our managed hosting works this way; its Advanced plan adds Redis caching for small online stores, while WordPress and plugin updates sit with our maintenance packages.
Cloud or virtual private servers
A share of a larger machine with resources reserved for you, often adjustable as you grow. Someone still has to manage the server software and its security, either the host or your developer, so find out who before you sign.
A dedicated server
A whole server for one store or a few sites, suited to large catalogues, marketplaces and heavy traffic. Our Premium hosting gives a store a dedicated Australian server and IP address, with hourly onsite backups and weekly offsite copies.
Signs a store has outgrown its plan
A dashboard that crawls, checkout errors during sales, resource warnings from the host, slow searches across a growing catalogue or backups that cannot keep up with orders. Any of these is worth a review of the hosting, extensions and caching before simply buying more.
Build packages, separate from any hosting plan.
These are one-off prices to design and build the store, GST included. Hosting is a monthly service chosen for the catalogue and traffic, on our servers or the host you prefer.

Hosting, your domain, your payment provider’s transaction fees and ongoing maintenance are separate. The page counts are website pages, not a product limit: catalogue size, product imports, migrations and custom integrations are agreed and quoted before work starts. Compare every inclusion and the optional features on eCommerce pricing, or see website design packages if you do not need a shop.
Your store, your hosting, your login.
Every DIGITALON store is a custom WordPress and WooCommerce build. WooCommerce is free and open source, takes no commission on your sales and runs on hosting you choose, with the administrator login yours from day one.
The shop and the pages that bring shoppers to it live in one WordPress site, edited the same way. You can run it yourself, or hand the updates to the team that built it.
No platform commission
Your payment provider charges its transaction fee. WooCommerce itself takes no percentage of your sales and has no monthly platform fee.
Hosting you choose
Keep your own host, or use our managed WordPress hosting, sized for the catalogue and the traffic you expect.
Care after launch
Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates, backups, security checks and support.
One Australian team
The people who scope, design and build the store are the people who answer your questions, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.
From brief to first order.
A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, and we tell you how much before we begin.
Scope and price
We agree the pages, catalogue, features and search work, then confirm the package, any extras and the payment stages in writing.
Design
You see the design and sign it off before the build starts, while changing a layout is still quick.
Build and test
Products, payments, shipping and tax are set up in WooCommerce, then tested with real orders on a phone and a desktop.
Launch and hand over
We go live and hand over your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store.

I was very impressed as they were very responsive and helpful as I was a newbie. Good communication with Sabrina who took the time to explain all the process and gave some tips.
Questions about web hosting for WooCommerce.
Shared hosting, what the build includes, GST, plan size, upgrades, Redis, dedicated servers, security, timing, search and support.
Ask us about your store ↗Is shared hosting good enough for a new WooCommerce store?
For a small, quiet store it can be, if the host runs current PHP, gives enough memory and leaves the cart and checkout uncached. It becomes a problem when traffic rises or a neighbour on the server gets busy. Our Advanced plan is built for small online stores; see our WordPress hosting plans.
Do the build packages include a year of hosting?
No. The build packages are one-off prices of $4,990, $5,990 and $7,990, including GST, and hosting is a separate monthly plan, also priced with GST. That keeps you free to host the store with us or with the provider you prefer, and to change later.
How do we know which size of hosting plan a store needs?
From the catalogue, the traffic you expect and how often orders arrive. We look at the number of products and variations, image sizes, extensions and your busiest days, then recommend a plan; Advanced suits small stores, and Premium's dedicated server suits large catalogues and marketplaces.
Can we move up a hosting plan as the store grows?
Yes. When traffic, storage or features change, we review the store's resources and recommend the next plan, confirming any price change with you first. Any move between servers is planned with you, so orders are not interrupted.
What does Redis caching do for a WooCommerce store?
It keeps the answers to frequent database questions in memory, so pages that cannot be fully cached, such as the cart, the account area and busy product listings, are built faster. Our Advanced and Premium hosting plans include Redis; on another host, ask whether object caching is available.
Should a WooCommerce store be on a dedicated server?
Only when it needs one: a large catalogue, a marketplace, heavy traffic or extensions that work the database hard. A dedicated server costs more and still needs managing. Our Premium hosting gives a dedicated Australian server and IP address, with hourly onsite backups and weekly offsite copies.
What security should WooCommerce hosting include?
At least an SSL certificate, a firewall, monitoring and backups kept away from the server. All our hosting plans include free SSL, firewall protection and 24/7 hosting monitoring, with offsite backups from Standard up, and every build package adds the WordFence firewall to the store itself.
Is hosting set up before or after the store is built?
Alongside the build rather than after it: the plan is chosen, the server prepared, and the finished store moves onto it before launch with the domain pointed across. A basic store takes about two to three weeks in total, hosting included.
Can a slow or unreliable host affect search?
Long outages and very slow pages can, because search engines struggle to crawl a store that keeps failing. Hosting alone does not lift rankings, though. SEO starts with our Standard build and GEO with Premium, with ongoing work in our SEO packages; no one can promise a position.
Who do we call when the hosted store goes down?
With our hosting, our Sunshine Coast team: every plan includes 24/7 hosting monitoring, and support comes through your plan's channels. Problems inside WordPress or WooCommerce, rather than the server, are handled through our maintenance packages or quoted on-demand support.
Match the hosting to the store.
Tell us about your store's catalogue, the traffic you expect and where it is hosted now. Our team at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast will recommend a kind of hosting and a plan, with or without a new build, and explain any move before anything changes.
