WooCommerce expert help when the store misbehaves.

Slow pages, payments stuck at pending, order emails that never arrive, totals that look wrong: WooCommerce problems usually have a findable cause. DIGITALON's WooCommerce team on the Sunshine Coast diagnoses them on a copy of the store, then quotes the fix.

Find the cause, not the symptom.

When a WooCommerce store misbehaves, the visible problem is rarely where the cause sits. An order stuck at pending can be a payment notification that never arrived; missing order emails can be the server's mail set-up; a wrong GST total can be a tax setting or an extension changing prices. Guessing wastes time and money, and changing things on the live store can make it worse.

We diagnose on a copy of the store: reading WooCommerce's own logs and status report, reproducing the fault with test orders, and changing one thing at a time until the cause is clear. Then we quote the fix, or say plainly when a rebuild is the better use of money. Taking over a store someone else built is covered on our WooCommerce developers page.

Common WooCommerce faults and their causes.

Six problems owners bring to a WooCommerce expert, and where the cause often sits.

Payments stuck at pending

A pending order usually means the store never heard back from the payment provider. A blocked or misconfigured webhook, a security rule or a caching layer can stop that message; the provider's own event log and WooCommerce's logs show where it stopped.

Order emails that never arrive

WooCommerce hands each email to the server to send, and mail sent straight from a web server is often filtered as spam. A proper sending service with the domain's records set correctly usually fixes it, and a mail log shows whether each message left the store.

Totals with the wrong GST or postage

Wrong totals usually trace back to tax settings, prices entered the wrong way (with or without GST), shipping zones that overlap or an extension that changes prices. Test orders across zones and products show which rule is firing.

Slow pages or a slow dashboard

Slowness can come from hosting, heavy extensions, oversized images, missing caching or a database bloated with old sessions and logs. Measuring before changing anything separates them, so the fix targets the real cause instead of the most expensive guess.

Errors after an update

An update that breaks the checkout is usually an extension or theme that has fallen behind WooCommerce. The error log names the file at fault; on a copy we roll back or update that piece, test the checkout, and only then touch the live store.

Stock that drifts from reality

Stock counts drift when cancelled orders aren't restocked, imports overwrite live counts or another system syncs at the wrong time. Order notes record each stock change an order makes, and comparing them with import or sync logs shows where the drift starts.

Packages, if a rebuild is the better fix.

Diagnosis and fixes are quoted as on-demand work. When a store is better rebuilt, these one-off packages, GST included, set the price of the new WooCommerce store.

Hosting, your domain, your payment provider’s transaction fees and ongoing maintenance are separate. The page counts are website pages, not a product limit: catalogue size, product imports, migrations and custom integrations are agreed and quoted before work starts. Compare every inclusion and the optional features on eCommerce pricing, or see website design packages if you do not need a shop.

Your store, your hosting, your login.

Every DIGITALON store is a custom WordPress and WooCommerce build. WooCommerce is free and open source, takes no commission on your sales and runs on hosting you choose, with the administrator login yours from day one.

The shop and the pages that bring shoppers to it live in one WordPress site, edited the same way. You can run it yourself, or hand the updates to the team that built it.

01

No platform commission

Your payment provider charges its transaction fee. WooCommerce itself takes no percentage of your sales and has no monthly platform fee.

02

Hosting you choose

Keep your own host, or use our managed WordPress hosting, sized for the catalogue and the traffic you expect.

03

Care after launch

Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates, backups, security checks and support.

04

One Australian team

The people who scope, design and build the store are the people who answer your questions, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.

From brief to first order.

A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, and we tell you how much before we begin.

Step 01

Scope and price

We agree the pages, catalogue, features and search work, then confirm the package, any extras and the payment stages in writing.

Step 02

Design

You see the design and sign it off before the build starts, while changing a layout is still quick.

Step 03

Build and test

Products, payments, shipping and tax are set up in WooCommerce, then tested with real orders on a phone and a desktop.

Step 04

Launch and hand over

We go live and hand over your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store.

Online stores we have built.

These are stores and online sales sites our team designed and built. They show completed work, not a promise of the same result for every business.

I was very impressed as they were very responsive and helpful as I was a newbie. Good communication with Sabrina who took the time to explain all the process and gave some tips.

Questions for a WooCommerce expert.

Diagnosis, GST, repair or rebuild, payments, emails, updates, access, speed, search and ongoing care.

Ask us about your store
How is a WooCommerce diagnosis priced?

As on-demand support, assessed and quoted before work starts: tell us the store's address, what is going wrong and when it started, and we confirm the scope. The on-demand rate is on our maintenance packages page. If a rebuild is wiser, the packages start at $4,990.

Do your quotes for fixes and rebuilds include GST?

Yes. On-demand work is quoted with GST included, and so are the rebuild packages: $4,990 for Basic, $5,990 for Standard and $7,990 for Premium, each paid once. You see the full amount in writing before we start.

How do you decide between repairing and rebuilding?

By what the diagnosis finds. A single fault or a few outdated extensions are worth repairing; a store on an abandoned theme, with dozens of overlapping extensions or code that blocks updates, can cost more to keep alive than to replace. A basic rebuild takes about two to three weeks, and we explain the trade-off in writing.

Why are some orders stuck on pending payment?

Usually because the payment provider's confirmation never reached the store. A webhook blocked by a firewall or security rule, an outdated webhook address after a domain change or a caching layer can each cause it. The provider's event log and WooCommerce's logs show where the message stopped.

Why aren't customers receiving order emails?

Often because the server sends mail directly and receiving providers treat it as spam, or because the domain's sending records are missing. Sending through a proper mail service with the domain authenticated usually fixes it, and a mail log then shows whether each message left the store.

Can you fix a store that broke after an update?

Yes. We read the error log to find the extension or theme at fault, restore or update it on a copy of the store, test the checkout and then apply the fix to the live store. If the store is down, restoring a recent backup can bring it back sooner, after checking which recent orders that would remove.

What access does a WooCommerce expert need?

An administrator login of the expert's own, not a shared password, plus hosting or file access when the logs live on the server. Access to the payment provider's dashboard helps with payment faults, and you can remove every login once the work is done.

Can a slow WooCommerce store be sped up without a rebuild?

Often, yes. Measuring first shows whether hosting, extensions, images, caching or database clutter is the cause, and each has its own fix. Image optimisation, caching and other performance work are part of our on-demand support, quoted before work starts.

Can store faults hurt our search visibility?

Some can: pages that error, very slow load times, broken links or an accidental noindex setting stop search engines reading the store properly. Fixing them removes the obstacle, though no one can promise rankings. SEO starts with our Standard build and GEO with Premium, with ongoing work in our SEO packages.

Who keeps watch over the store after the repair?

We can. Our maintenance packages keep WordPress, WooCommerce and the extensions updated, backed up and monitored, with eCommerce site updates in the Advanced and Premium levels, so the team that diagnosed the store keeps watch. The store and its administrator login remain yours.

Tell us what the store is doing.

Send the store's address, what is going wrong and when it started, with any error messages you have seen. Our WooCommerce team at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast will assess it, explain what we think is happening and quote the fix before we change anything.
