Web design Maryborough for the Heritage City.
DIGITALON designs WordPress websites for Maryborough businesses, from engineering and timber firms to the trades, shops and practices that work across the Fraser Coast, Hervey Bay included. Every site is designed at Wurtulla, down on the Sunshine Coast, from a page plan and price agreed in writing before work begins.
Known in town, new to strangers.
Maryborough grew up on the Mary River from 1847, and in the second half of the 19th century it was a major port of entry for immigrants arriving in Queensland. The old Customs House and Bond Store now anchor the Portside heritage precinct. P. L. Travers, who wrote the Mary Poppins books, was born here, and the city still holds heritage markets every Thursday.
The working city has deep roots too: heavy engineering, which now builds trains at Torbanlea to the north, the timber industry, and family firms in trades and professional services that work across the Fraser Coast. Locals may know your name, but a customer in Hervey Bay or further afield doesn't, so the site has to show strangers what the town already knows.
Proof before the phone call.
Someone in Hervey Bay or further away who has never heard your name wants evidence before they ring.
- What you do, in plain words
- Finished work they can look at
- Who answers, and where you are
SITE
Look current, stay credible.
A modern, quick site lets a long-standing business look as capable online as it is around town.
- One page for each service
- Your own photos, not stock alone
- Maryborough, QLD named clearly
What every DIGITALON website includes.
The same Australian team designs, builds, hosts and supports the site, so nothing in the list below is quoted again later.
Designed for your business, not a theme
Every page is designed from scratch in WordPress around what you sell and who buys it. You are not picking a template and hoping your content fits it.
Built to be found
Clean structure, fast pages, sensible headings and metadata come as standard. Keyword research and on-page SEO are included from Standard, and AI search optimisation at Premium.
Readable on the phone first
Most local searches happen on a phone. Layouts, menus, forms and buttons are checked at desktop, tablet and phone widths before the site goes live.
Yours to edit
You get the admin login, a site you can update yourself and 1:1 training at Premium. If you would rather not touch it, our maintenance packages cover the updates for you.
Hosted and supported in Australia
Australian cloud hosting, SSL, nightly backups and a support team you can reach by phone or email, with no offshore help desk in between.
Maryborough website packages, priced in full.
Five pages suit one trade or practice. A ten-page site gives every service a page and still leaves space for the places you cover from Maryborough to Hervey Bay, and twenty suit an engineering firm, retailer or practice with a long list of work to show.

View details ↗Maryborough is north of us, past Gympie.
Our designers and developers work at Wurtulla, a Sunshine Coast suburb well below Gympie, so Maryborough is a fair way north of us and in a different region. We have no Maryborough office. One person on our team looks after your project by phone, email and online meeting, from the first conversation until the site is live.
For a business Maryborough has known for years, the job is making that reputation readable to someone who hasn't. The first call works out what a stranger in Hervey Bay or Brisbane would need to see, from finished jobs to who picks up the phone, and every draft is gone through with you on a shared screen before anything is published.
One contact, Maryborough or the BayTrack record, shown not told
Finished projects, the licences you hold and the people who turn up go on the pages, instead of a line about years in business.
Hervey Bay named honestly
If you take work in Hervey Bay, the site says so and shows jobs there, without listing an address you don't have.
Queensland in the titles
Page titles and contact details say Maryborough, QLD, so nobody confuses you with the Victorian town of the same name.
Logins in the business's name
The admin login and the domain sit with the business, not one staff member, so a retirement never locks you out of your own site.
We deliver. You celebrate.
A website build runs on a short, predictable path. Most sites take one to three weeks to a first version, then move at the pace of your feedback.
Talk it through
We ask what the business does, who you want to reach and what the website has to achieve.
Agree the plan
You get a fixed price, a page map and a content outline, with placeholders where you need them.
Design and build
We design the pages, build them in WordPress and check them at every screen size.
Review and launch
Three rounds of revisions on structure and content, then launch, training and support.

These are websites our team designed and built. They are examples of completed work, not a promise of the same result for every business.

Maryborough web design questions.
Prices, GST, market-day selling, timing, search and support, for businesses across Maryborough and the Fraser Coast.
Ask us about your website ↗We restore old Queenslanders around Maryborough. Which package shows enough of our work?
Usually Standard, at $3,990: ten custom-designed pages, an image gallery with categories for before-and-after photos, a testimonials slider, and keyword research and on-page SEO aimed at the restoration terms people search.
To add each finished house as it is done, Premium at $4,990 brings twenty pages and a portfolio you edit yourself, while Essentials at $2,990 covers five pages for a tradesperson with one main service. For a portfolio-led site we have built, see our work for Taylor’d Distinction, a Sunshine Coast building designer.
Could we start on Standard and add Premium's extras later, and is GST in both prices?
Yes to both. Standard is $3,990 and Premium is $4,990, each in Australian dollars with GST already included and shown on the tax invoice, and moving up after launch is quoted in writing before any work starts.
Starting with Standard's ten pages and keyword research leaves room to add a blog, AI search optimisation or more pages once the first site is bringing in work from Hervey Bay and beyond. Package-by-package inclusions are set out on website design pricing.
We sell at the Thursday heritage markets. Can customers buy from us on the other days?
Yes, through an online store. Basic costs $4,990: six WooCommerce pages, including shop, cart and checkout, that take card and PayPal and charge one flat shipping rate; Standard, at $5,990, adds product categories and filters, discount coupons and a wish list; Premium, at $7,990, adds live product search, product compare, and Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay.
Letting regulars order online and collect from your stall on market day isn't a listed inclusion, so it is scoped and quoted with the build. Hosting, domain registration, payment processing and maintenance are charged separately from the store; see the three side by side on eCommerce pricing.
We'd like the new site live for our fiftieth year in business. What lead time does that need?
A few months is comfortable. On average the first version takes one to two weeks from the day work begins, more for sites with extra functions, after which come three rounds of revisions on structure and content, timed by how quickly you reply.
The extra time is for gathering photos and sign-offs from everyone who wants a say, which in a family firm can take longer than the build itself, so give us the date at the start and the stages are planned around it.
Our shop is in one of the old buildings on Kent Street. Should the website look old-fashioned to match?
No. Let your own photos of the building, the shopfront and the people inside carry the character, while the layout stays modern, quick to load and easy to read on a phone.
You don't need those photos before we start: the content outline lists the shots and words each page needs, and placeholders hold the gaps until you have them. A few frames taken on a quiet morning, before the street gets busy, can be enough.
On market day, people look us up on their phones from the street. What should they see first?
Whether you're open, where you are and how to reach you. On a phone, your hours sit at the top with an address that opens in the customer's map app and a number that is a single tap away, and before launch the layout is tried on phone, tablet and desktop screens.
If Thursday hours differ from the rest of the week, update them from your own login so market visitors aren't turned away by an old timetable.
There's also a Maryborough in Victoria. How do searchers find the Queensland one?
By naming the state wherever it counts. Page titles, headings and your contact details say Maryborough, Queensland, or Maryborough and the Fraser Coast, so neither Google nor a reader has to guess which town you mean.
Keyword research, included from Standard, shows which pairings people type, and on-page SEO builds them into each page. Premium's AI search optimisation (GEO) spells out what you do and where, so AI answer tools can tell which Maryborough you are in. Google and the AI tools make those calls themselves, so we promise neither a ranking nor a mention. If you want search work to carry on after launch, that is what our SEO packages are for.
Our site uses the same template as several other Maryborough businesses. Will a redesign set us apart?
Yes. Every page is designed from scratch around your business rather than a bought theme, and in a website redesign the web addresses that already rank are kept or redirected, with the content that still works carried across.
The price turns on how many pages, how much content and what has to move across: a simple redesign can fit within one of the website packages, while bigger or more specialised work gets a tailored quote first.
The one person who knows our website login is retiring. How do we keep control of the site?
Put the logins and the domain in the business's name rather than a person's. Moving an existing WordPress site onto our Australian WordPress hosting comes with the Standard, Advanced or Premium hosting plan once we have reviewed the site (on Basic, any fee is confirmed first), and from then on admin access sits with the business.
Our maintenance packages can then look after WordPress, theme and plugin updates, backups and monitoring, and a new Premium site comes with 1:1 website training for whoever takes over the everyday edits.
We've dealt with the same local suppliers for decades. How do we get to know a team in Wurtulla?
Start with the work and the people. Our portfolio shows sites we have built and our client reviews show what clients say, and from the first call you deal with one person at Wurtulla, on the Sunshine Coast below Gympie, who stays with the project to launch.
We have no Maryborough office, so conversations happen by phone, email and online meetings booked from our contact page, with every draft shared on screen for your comments.
