Vitamin store website design true to the label.

Vitamin buyers check the AUST L number, directions and warnings before ordering, then come back for the same bottle. DIGITALON designs and builds WooCommerce stores for Australian vitamin and complementary medicine retailers from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast, with every claim kept to what the label says.

Every product page is an advertisement.

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) treats a page selling a listed vitamin or herbal medicine as advertising. Its claims must stay consistent with the indications in the product's entry on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG), and because shoppers cannot hold the pack, the page also carries the label's required health warnings, each active ingredient, the dose form and the quantity. Customers want the same: the AUST L number, the label and the directions.

We build vitamin stores with that on every page. The AUST L number, label photos, indications and warnings come from your suppliers and sit beside the price; pack sizes and dose forms become variations; practitioner-only and pharmacy-only lines stay off open sale unless your own processes allow them; and regular customers reorder from their account. You and your suppliers confirm every word; we give no health, medical or regulatory advice.

What a vitamin store website needs.

Medicines bring a register number, permitted wording and restricted lines into online retail, so we settle each one with you and your suppliers before the design starts.

AUST numbers and label photos

Every medicine on the ARTG must carry its AUST L, AUST L(A) or AUST R number on the label, sometimes in small print. We show it as text beside the price, so shoppers can check it on the TGA's public register, with front and back label photos and the directions exactly as printed.

Claims kept to the ARTG indications

Descriptions make only the claims in the indications from each product's ARTG entry, as your supplier gives them, with a traditional-use statement wherever a claim rests on traditional use. Nothing presents a vitamin as a substitute for a balanced diet, and we write no health claims of our own.

Required statements beside the buy button

‘Always read the label and follow the directions for use’, the label's required health warnings typed out as text, each active ingredient, the dose form and the quantity sit in the summary beside the price. The TGA's guidance asks for them on the same page, not tucked behind a ‘see more’ or drop-down.

Practitioner and pharmacy lines kept back

Lines your suppliers restrict to practitioners, and pharmacy or pharmacist-only medicines, stay off open sale unless your own processes allow them. Practitioner lines can sit behind accounts you approve, a quoted extension: the TGA treats online content as aimed only at health professionals when only confirmed professionals can reach it.

Pack sizes and dose forms as variations

Packs of 60 and 120 capsules can be variations of one product, each with its own price, SKU and stock, under one AUST L number. A powder or another strength usually has its own ARTG entry and label, so it becomes a variation with its own number, photo and directions, or its own linked page.

Expiry dates, stated before checkout

Every medicine label carries a batch number and expiry date that online shoppers cannot read. WooCommerce has no expiry field, so each product page states your own policy, such as the shortest time to expiry you will send; recording batches and dates against stock is quoted.

Hosting, your domain, your payment provider’s transaction fees and ongoing maintenance are separate. The page counts are website pages, not a product limit: catalogue size, product imports, migrations and custom integrations are agreed and quoted before work starts. Compare every inclusion and the optional features on eCommerce pricing, or see website design packages if you do not need a shop.

Your store, your hosting, your login.

Every DIGITALON store is a custom WordPress and WooCommerce build. WooCommerce is free and open source, takes no commission on your sales and runs on hosting you choose, with the administrator login yours from day one.

The shop and the pages that bring shoppers to it live in one WordPress site, edited the same way. You can run it yourself, or hand the updates to the team that built it.

01

No platform commission

Your payment provider charges its transaction fee. WooCommerce itself takes no percentage of your sales and has no monthly platform fee.

02

Hosting you choose

Keep your own host, or use our managed WordPress hosting, sized for the catalogue and the traffic you expect.

03

Care after launch

Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates, backups, security checks and support.

04

One Australian team

The people who scope, design and build the store are the people who answer your questions, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.

From brief to first order.

A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, and we tell you how much before we begin.

Step 01

Scope and price

We agree the pages, catalogue, features and search work, then confirm the package, any extras and the payment stages in writing.

Step 02

Design

You see the design and sign it off before the build starts, while changing a layout is still quick.

Step 03

Build and test

Products, payments, shipping and tax are set up in WooCommerce, then tested with real orders on a phone and a desktop.

Step 04

Launch and hand over

We go live and hand over your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store.

Online stores we have built.

These are stores and online sales sites our team designed and built. They show completed work, not a promise of the same result for every business.

I was very impressed as they were very responsive and helpful as I was a newbie. Good communication with Sabrina who took the time to explain all the process and gave some tips.

Vitamin store website questions.

AUST L numbers, claims and reviews, restricted lines, samples, expiry, reorders, payments, price and timing.

Ask us about your store
What does a store for vitamins and listed medicines cost, GST included?

$4,990 for Basic, $5,990 for Standard or $7,990 for Premium, with 6, 10 or 20 website pages: one-off build prices in Australian dollars, GST already counted. Accounts for approved practitioners, batch and expiry tracking, subscriptions, product imports and moving an existing store are quoted to scope before work starts.

Every inclusion is on our eCommerce pricing page.

Is Standard the right package for a vitamin retailer?

Usually, yes. Customer accounts with order history make repeat orders quick, product filters sort the range by ingredient, dose form or brand, and Standard adds PDF invoices, discount coupons, advanced shipping rules and keyword research with on-page SEO. Basic suits a small range without filters; Premium adds live search, product compare, AI search optimisation (GEO) and more ways to pay.

Who gathers each line's label photos, AUST L number and warnings?

Your suppliers provide them and your team collects them. A spreadsheet with each line's AUST number, active ingredients, dose form, quantity, indications, directions and warnings, plus label photos, goes in through WooCommerce's CSV importer, and loading a large range is quoted. A basic store usually takes two to three weeks; gathering label details from suppliers can set the pace.

Who answers for claims in our descriptions and customer reviews?

Your business, as the advertiser. The TGA treats product reviews on a website as testimonials in your advertising, even ones you didn't write, and a review given for a discount or free product can't be used. The store can limit reviews to verified owners, hold each one for your approval or switch them off. You confirm all wording; we give no regulatory advice.

Can practitioner-only lines or pharmacy medicines be sold online?

Only where your suppliers' terms and your own processes allow it; otherwise they stay off the public site. Practitioner lines can sit behind accounts you approve after checking credentials, a quoted extension. Pharmacist-only medicines that may be advertised at all carry ‘Ask your pharmacist about this product’, and Australia Post sets its own conditions for scheduled medicines. We give no regulatory advice.

Can we add free vitamin samples to orders?

No. The TGA's advertising code allows free samples only of goods listed in its Annexure 2, such as sunscreens and hand sanitisers, which do not include vitamins or herbal medicines. The TGA notes that a free extra of the same product, as in buy one, get one free, is not a sample. Standard's coupons handle percentage and fixed discounts; buy-one-get-one rules are a quoted extension.

Can short-dated packs be sold apart from fresh stock?

Yes. Short-dated packs can become their own variation or product, with the expiry month in the name and separate stock, so customers know which they are buying; a sale price can start and end on dates you set, all standard in WooCommerce. Tracking expiry dates against every batch is quoted, and the offer's wording follows the same advertising rules as the page.

Can regular customers reorder after a product is reformulated?

Yes, once the product is updated. WooCommerce's order again button, with customer accounts from Standard, refills the cart from a past order and says if anything is out of stock. A reformulated medicine can carry a new AUST L number and label, so its details change and you decide whether its reviews still apply. You own the store; our Advanced and Premium maintenance packages include eCommerce updates.

Do payment providers and carriers accept vitamins and herbal medicines?

Each sets its own conditions, which we check against your range before the build. Stripe prohibits nutraceuticals that are unsafe or make harmful claims, online pharmacies need its approval, Afterpay through Stripe excludes the drugs and druggist sundries category, and Australia Post has conditions for scheduled medicines. Cards and PayPal come with every package, as does flat-rate or free shipping; advanced rules start at Standard.

Can our product pages rank when people search for vitamins online?

They can, though no one can promise a position. Standard and Premium include keyword and category research and on-page work, so products and categories carry the names, brands and ingredients people search for, and Premium adds AI search optimisation (GEO), with no promise of AI mentions either. Titles and descriptions written for search stay within each product's indications, and ongoing SEO is a separate service.

Bring us the labels you stock.

Tell us what you sell, from listed vitamins and herbal medicines to any practitioner-only or pharmacy lines, how your suppliers send label details and how customers reorder today. From Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast, our team will work out how each kind of line should sell, check your payment provider's conditions and send a written price, with anything quoted itemised.
