Build a website to sell products of every kind.
Selling a T-shirt in five sizes, a downloadable pattern, a hamper you assemble or a monthly box are different jobs behind the same checkout. DIGITALON builds WooCommerce websites that set each product type up properly, with anything beyond the package quoted first.
Every product type works differently.
A website to sell products has to know what kind of product each one is. A shirt has sizes and colours with their own stock. A download needs a secure link instead of a parcel. A personalised gift needs a place for the engraving text. A subscription bills again next month. Set up the wrong way, each causes a different problem: overselling, lost files, missed details or manual invoices.
WooCommerce handles many product types natively: simple products, variations with their own price and stock, virtual products with no shipping, and downloads delivered by secure link. Personalisation fields, bundles, gift cards and subscriptions use extensions, which we scope and quote before work starts. We plan the type of every product with you before any are loaded, so the catalogue behaves from the first order.
What kind of product is it?
The answer changes how it is priced, stocked and delivered.
- Sizes and colours, or one item
- A parcel, a download or a service
- Made now, made to order or repeat

Each type, set up properly.
One checkout, with the right rules behind every product.

- Secure links for downloads
- Fields for personal details
How each product type is set up.
These are the common types and how WooCommerce sells each. Native types come with every package; those that need an extension are scoped and quoted.
Physical products with variations
A product sold in sizes, colours or materials becomes one variable product: each combination has its own price, stock count, SKU and photo, so shoppers can only buy what you have. Product filters come with Standard.
Digital downloads
eBooks, patterns, templates or music are virtual, downloadable products: no shipping is charged, and the buyer receives a download link after payment, with limits on how many times and how long it works if you want them.
Made-to-order and personalised items
Lead times can be shown on each product, and backorders let customers buy before an item is made. Fields for engraving text, names or uploaded artwork use a product add-ons extension, scoped and quoted with the rest of the build.
Kits, bundles and grouped products
A fixed kit can be one product with its own stock. Grouped products show related items on one page to buy together, and bundles that discount a combination or let buyers choose the contents use a quoted extension.
Gift cards and vouchers
A gift card sends the recipient a code to spend in your store, with the remaining balance tracked between orders. It needs a gift card extension, which is scoped and quoted with the build.
Subscriptions and repeat orders
A product that bills weekly, monthly or yearly, such as a coffee subscription or a box, needs a subscriptions extension and a payment provider that supports repeat billing. It is scoped and quoted before work starts.
Packages for selling your products.
Simple, variable, virtual and downloadable products work in every package. Personalisation, bundles, gift cards and subscriptions are quoted on top.

- Your CRM integrated
Hosting, your domain, your payment provider’s transaction fees and ongoing maintenance are separate. The page counts are website pages, not a product limit: catalogue size, product imports, migrations and custom integrations are agreed and quoted before work starts. Compare every inclusion and the optional features on eCommerce pricing, or see website design packages if you do not need a shop.
Your store, your hosting, your login.
Every DIGITALON store is a custom WordPress and WooCommerce build. WooCommerce is free and open source, takes no commission on your sales and runs on hosting you choose, with the administrator login yours from day one.
The shop and the pages that bring shoppers to it live in one WordPress site, edited the same way. You can run it yourself, or hand the updates to the team that built it.
No platform commission
Your payment provider charges its transaction fee. WooCommerce itself takes no percentage of your sales and has no monthly platform fee.
Hosting you choose
Keep your own host, or use our managed WordPress hosting, sized for the catalogue and the traffic you expect.
Care after launch
Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates, backups, security checks and support.
One Australian team
The people who scope, design and build the store are the people who answer your questions, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.
From brief to first order.
A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, and we tell you how much before we begin.
Scope and price
We agree the pages, catalogue, features and search work, then confirm the package, any extras and the payment stages in writing.
Design
You see the design and sign it off before the build starts, while changing a layout is still quick.
Build and test
Products, payments, shipping and tax are set up in WooCommerce, then tested with real orders on a phone and a desktop.
Launch and hand over
We go live and hand over your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store.

I was very impressed as they were very responsive and helpful as I was a newbie. Good communication with Sabrina who took the time to explain all the process and gave some tips.
Product type questions.
Variations, downloads, personalisation, bundles, gift cards, subscriptions and price.
Ask us about your store ↗What does it cost to build a website to sell our products?
A custom WooCommerce store costs $4,990 for Basic (6 pages), $5,990 for Standard (10 pages) or $7,990 for Premium (20 pages), as a one-off build price. Extensions for personalisation, bundles, gift cards or subscriptions, and any licence renewals they carry, are quoted before work starts.
Each package's inclusions are on our eCommerce pricing page.
Do your build prices include GST, and can digital products carry GST too?
Yes, the build prices are in Australian dollars and include GST, itemised on your invoice. In the store, GST can be applied to physical and digital products alike, or set differently for any product your accountant advises.
Can we sell downloadable products such as eBooks or patterns?
Yes, natively. A downloadable product sends the buyer a link after payment, with no shipping charged, and you can limit how many times or for how long the link works. Video courses with lessons and logins are a different build; see selling online courses.
How many sizes and colours can one product have?
As many as your range needs. Each combination of size, colour or material is a variation with its own price, stock, SKU and photo. Products with a very large number of combinations need more planning, so we look at your range before quoting.
Can customers add their own text or artwork to a product?
Yes, with a product add-ons extension, scoped and quoted with the build. Fields for engraving text, names, dates or uploaded files appear on the product page, can change the price, and travel with the order so you see exactly what to make.
Can we sell bundles or gift boxes?
Yes. A fixed kit or gift box can be one product with its own stock, grouped products let shoppers buy related items from one page, and bundles with a discount or a choice of contents use a quoted extension.
How do gift cards work in a WooCommerce store?
With a gift card extension, quoted at scoping, a buyer sends a code that the recipient spends in your store, and the balance carries over between orders. The gift card is sold like any other product, and its use shows in your orders.
Can we sell subscriptions or regular deliveries?
Yes, with a subscriptions extension and a payment provider that supports repeat billing, such as Stripe. Customers manage their subscription from their account, and you see upcoming renewals in the dashboard. It is scoped and quoted before work starts.
Which package suits a range with several product types?
Standard suits most: product filters and categories, customer accounts, advanced shipping rules, PDF invoices and SEO. Premium adds product compare, live search, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay, order tracking and AI search optimisation (GEO). Extensions for personalisation, bundles, gift cards and subscriptions are quoted on top of either.
How long does setup take, and who looks after the extensions afterwards?
A basic store usually takes two to three weeks; each extension adds setup and testing time, agreed with the price. Extensions need updates like the rest of the store, so you can apply them with the administrator login or hand them to our maintenance packages on managed WordPress hosting.
Let's set up what you sell.
Send us a sample of your range: a simple product, one with options, and anything downloadable, personalised or recurring. We will plan how each type is set up, quote any extensions separately and confirm a fixed price in writing. Our team works from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.
