Candy store website design from pick-and-mix to hampers.

Lolly buyers check what is in each sweet, how much is in the bag and whether chocolate will survive a summer delivery. DIGITALON designs and builds WooCommerce stores for Australian confectionery and lolly shops from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast, with any custom features priced before work starts.

Sweets are judged before they are tasted.

In a lolly shop, buyers read the label, ask what is in the jar and carry the chocolate home themselves. Online, the product page has to do all of that: list the ingredients and allergens, say how many grams are in a bag, explain how chocolate travels in summer and say when to order a gift box so it arrives in time. A careful buyer, such as a parent checking for nuts, goes elsewhere when it does not.

We build candy stores that answer on the page. Ingredients and allergen statements sit in the same place on every product, loose lines sell by weight or in set bag sizes, and gift boxes and hampers are products with their own stock. Summer shipping rules for chocolate and seasonal ranges for Easter, Halloween and Christmas are planned before the build, not patched in during the rush.

What a candy store website needs.

Confectionery adds heat, allergens and short seasons to ordinary online retail, so each is settled before the design.

Ingredients and allergens, every time

The ingredient list, allergen statement and any dietary details sit in the same place on every product page, entered from your labels and supplier specifications. We set up where the information shows and how shoppers filter it; the wording comes from you, and you confirm it before launch.

Sold by the bag or by weight

Loose lollies can be priced per 100 g, so a quantity of three is 300 g and stock is counted in the same units, or sold in set bag sizes as variations with their own prices. A build-your-own pick-and-mix bag is custom work, quoted to scope.

Shop by colour, flavour and occasion

A party planner may want lollies in one colour for a theme, while others shop by flavour, texture or occasion. Colour, flavour and dietary details entered as product attributes let shoppers narrow a big range quickly. Product filters come with Standard and live product search with Premium.

Gift boxes, hampers and bulk orders

Ready-made gift boxes and hampers are products with their own photos, contents and stock, and a buyer can ship one straight to the recipient with a message in the order notes. Lower prices for party and corporate quantities use the quoted dynamic pricing add-on; branded orders can start with an enquiry form.

Summer rules for chocolate

Christmas chocolate ships in an Australian summer. Heat-sensitive lines get their own shipping class, so they can carry a charge for insulated packing, and your summer policy shows before checkout. Rules by location, weight and cart value come with Standard; rules that switch on by date are quoted.

Seasonal ranges on a timetable

Easter, Halloween and Christmas lines sell to a deadline. A seasonal range can go live on a scheduled date with sale prices that end automatically, show the last order date for delivery before the day, and be hidden in one bulk edit afterwards.

Hosting, your domain, your payment provider’s transaction fees and ongoing maintenance are separate. The page counts are website pages, not a product limit: catalogue size, product imports, migrations and custom integrations are agreed and quoted before work starts. Compare every inclusion and the optional features on eCommerce pricing, or see website design packages if you do not need a shop.

Your store, your hosting, your login.

Every DIGITALON store is a custom WordPress and WooCommerce build. WooCommerce is free and open source, takes no commission on your sales and runs on hosting you choose, with the administrator login yours from day one.

The shop and the pages that bring shoppers to it live in one WordPress site, edited the same way. You can run it yourself, or hand the updates to the team that built it.

01

No platform commission

Your payment provider charges its transaction fee. WooCommerce itself takes no percentage of your sales and has no monthly platform fee.

02

Hosting you choose

Keep your own host, or use our managed WordPress hosting, sized for the catalogue and the traffic you expect.

03

Care after launch

Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates, backups, security checks and support.

04

One Australian team

The people who scope, design and build the store are the people who answer your questions, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.

From brief to first order.

A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, and we tell you how much before we begin.

Step 01

Scope and price

We agree the pages, catalogue, features and search work, then confirm the package, any extras and the payment stages in writing.

Step 02

Design

You see the design and sign it off before the build starts, while changing a layout is still quick.

Step 03

Build and test

Products, payments, shipping and tax are set up in WooCommerce, then tested with real orders on a phone and a desktop.

Step 04

Launch and hand over

We go live and hand over your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store.

Online stores we have built.

These are stores and online sales sites our team designed and built. They show completed work, not a promise of the same result for every business.

I was very impressed as they were very responsive and helpful as I was a newbie. Good communication with Sabrina who took the time to explain all the process and gave some tips.

Candy store website questions.

Allergens, bag sizes, summer shipping, gift orders, seasons, price and timing.

Ask us about your store
What does a candy store website cost?

A custom WooCommerce store costs $4,990 for Basic (6 pages), $5,990 for Standard (10 pages) or $7,990 for Premium (20 pages), as a one-off build price. A build-your-own pick-and-mix bag, product imports and courier connections are quoted before work starts.

Every inclusion is on our eCommerce pricing page.

Do the build prices include GST, and can each product have its own GST setting?

Yes to both. All three build prices are in Australian dollars and include GST, itemised on your invoice. Inside the store, WooCommerce lets each product be set as taxable or GST-free, as your accountant advises.

Which package suits a lolly shop?

Standard suits most lolly and chocolate shops: product filters and categories for dietary, colour and seasonal ranges, customer accounts for repeat buyers, advanced shipping rules and keyword research with on-page SEO. Premium adds live product search, a mega menu, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay, order tracking, a blog for gift guides and AI search optimisation (GEO). Basic, with card and PayPal payments and flat-rate or free shipping, suits a small range of gift boxes.

Can chocolate follow different shipping rules in summer?

Yes. Chocolate and other heat-sensitive lines can sit in their own shipping class with a charge for insulated packing, a note on those products explains your summer policy, and local pickup can sit alongside delivery. Which services chocolate may use is agreed at scoping: Standard adds rules by location, weight and cart value, while rules that switch on by date and live Australia Post, Sendle or courier rates are quoted before work starts.

Can shoppers filter by dietary needs and read allergen details before buying?

Yes, when every product carries the details. Ingredients and allergen statements sit in the same place on each product page, and dietary details such as gluten-free or vegan become attributes shoppers can filter by, with product filters in Standard. The details come from your labels and suppliers and you confirm them: we set up where they appear, not what they must say.

Can customers build their own pick-and-mix bag online?

Yes, as custom work quoted to scope. A pick-and-mix bag, where the buyer chooses lollies up to a set weight or count, depends on your range and how you pack, so we scope it with you first. Selling each line per 100 g or in set bag sizes is standard WooCommerce setup, agreed with the rest of your catalogue before quoting.

Can businesses order gift boxes and hampers in bulk?

Yes. Gift boxes and hampers are set up as products with their own stock. Customer accounts and PDF invoices come with Standard, and lower prices for larger quantities use the dynamic pricing add-on, quoted before work starts. WooCommerce's built-in direct bank transfer option keeps an order on hold until you confirm the money has arrived.

Shipping one order to many addresses, or a build-your-own hamper, is scoped and quoted separately, and orders with a company's branding can start with an enquiry form.

Can a new lolly shop be ready in time for Easter or Christmas?

That depends on when work starts and what the store needs. A basic store usually takes two to three weeks; a pick-and-mix feature, imported product data or courier connections add time, so we agree a schedule that has the store tested before the season's first orders. Seasonal ranges can then be scheduled to go live on a set date.

Will our shop come up when people search for lollies or chocolate gifts?

It can, but no one can promise a position. Standard and Premium include keyword and category research and on-page work, so categories and products use the words your customers search with, whether that is lollies, sweets or candy. Premium adds AI search optimisation (GEO), though AI citations cannot be promised either; ongoing work after launch is our SEO service.

Who adds new lines and seasonal stock after launch?

You can, or we can. You receive the administrator login and own the store, so your team can add products, change bag prices and switch seasonal ranges on and off, with one-to-one training in Standard and Premium. Our maintenance packages cover updates, backups and security, and managed WordPress hosting can be sized for the Christmas rush.

Let's plan your lolly shop online.
