Liquor store website design built around your licence.
Liquor buyers compare region, variety, vintage and the case price, then choose delivery or click and collect. DIGITALON designs and builds WooCommerce stores for licensed Australian liquor retailers from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast, with age checks, payment rules and carriers' conditions for alcohol settled before the build.
Your licence sits behind every order.
An online liquor store answers to more than its shoppers. Your licence and your state or territory's rules can decide who may order, when you deliver and how an order is handed over, while payment providers and carriers set their own conditions for alcohol. Buyers, meanwhile, expect what the counter gives them: region, variety, vintage and ABV, the bottle and case price, and whether they can collect it today.
We build the store around both. Products carry the details buyers compare, bottles, cases and mixed dozens are priced the way you sell them, and delivery is offered only to the postcodes you choose, with click and collect beside it. Age confirmation, connections to carriers' ID-on-delivery services and limits on delivery times are quoted to what your licence requires, and every word about your licence comes from you; we give no legal advice.

What a liquor store website needs.
Liquor brings an age limit, a licence and other businesses' rules into ordinary online retail, so we settle each one with you before anything is designed.
Age checks when ordering and delivering
WooCommerce has no age check of its own, so an 18-or-over declaration, a date of birth field or an identity-checking service at checkout is a quoted extension. ID at the door is checked by your drivers or a carrier's alcohol service, and which checks you need is yours to confirm.
Your licence conditions, in your words
Your licence number and any notices your licence or regulator expects can sit on every page, in wording you supply. Trading hours and delivery limits vary by state, territory and licence, so you tell us yours and we set the store up around them; we give no legal advice.
Delivery zones and click and collect
Zones built from postcodes offer delivery only where your drivers or carrier go, each at its own price under Standard's advanced shipping rules. Click and collect sits beside delivery at checkout, buyers can pay at the counter if you choose, and delivery time slots are quoted.
Payment and carrier rules for alcohol
Providers set their own conditions: PayPal requires pre-approval for selling alcoholic beverages, and Stripe currently lists alcohol among the categories that cannot use Afterpay. Carriers decide which services carry alcohol and how bottles are packed and marked. We check yours before the build and set the store up around the answers.
Bottles, cases and mixed dozens
A wine can sell by the bottle or the case as variations, each with its own price and stock count; taking a case's six or twelve bottles from one shared count is quoted. A set mixed dozen is its own product, and dozens buyers pick themselves are custom work, quoted to scope.
Region, variety, vintage and ABV
Each detail becomes a product attribute, so shoppers can narrow reds by region, beers by style or spirits by strength, with product filters in Standard. ABV and bottle size come from the label, tasting notes from you or the producer, and wine show medals and critics' scores appear only as published.

Hosting, your domain, your payment provider’s transaction fees and ongoing maintenance are separate. The page counts are website pages, not a product limit: catalogue size, product imports, migrations and custom integrations are agreed and quoted before work starts. Compare every inclusion and the optional features on eCommerce pricing, or see website design packages if you do not need a shop.
Your store, your hosting, your login.
Every DIGITALON store is a custom WordPress and WooCommerce build. WooCommerce is free and open source, takes no commission on your sales and runs on hosting you choose, with the administrator login yours from day one.
The shop and the pages that bring shoppers to it live in one WordPress site, edited the same way. You can run it yourself, or hand the updates to the team that built it.
No platform commission
Your payment provider charges its transaction fee. WooCommerce itself takes no percentage of your sales and has no monthly platform fee.
Hosting you choose
Keep your own host, or use our managed WordPress hosting, sized for the catalogue and the traffic you expect.
Care after launch
Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates, backups, security checks and support.
One Australian team
The people who scope, design and build the store are the people who answer your questions, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.
From brief to first order.
A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, and we tell you how much before we begin.
Scope and price
We agree the pages, catalogue, features and search work, then confirm the package, any extras and the payment stages in writing.
Design
You see the design and sign it off before the build starts, while changing a layout is still quick.
Build and test
Products, payments, shipping and tax are set up in WooCommerce, then tested with real orders on a phone and a desktop.
Launch and hand over
We go live and hand over your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store.

I was very impressed as they were very responsive and helpful as I was a newbie. Good communication with Sabrina who took the time to explain all the process and gave some tips.
Liquor store website questions.
Age checks, ID at the door, zones and hours, payments, cases and dozens, price and timing.
Ask us about your store ↗What would our bottle shop's online store cost?
A custom WooCommerce liquor store is a one-off build: $4,990 for Basic (6 pages), $5,990 for Standard (10 pages) or $7,990 for Premium (20 pages), in Australian dollars with GST included. Age confirmation, buyer-chosen mixed dozens, product imports, a point-of-sale connection, moving an existing store and carrier connections are quoted before work starts.
Every inclusion is on our eCommerce pricing page.
Which package suits a bottle shop with delivery and click and collect?
Standard usually fits: delivery zones priced by postcode under its advanced shipping rules, filters for region, variety and style, customer accounts with order history, PDF invoices and packing slips for every delivery and pickup, and keyword research with on-page SEO across 10 website pages. Basic suits a small range with simple shipping; Premium adds live search, product compare, order tracking and AI search optimisation (GEO).
Can the website ask buyers to confirm they are 18 or over?
Yes, as a quoted extension, because WooCommerce has no age check of its own. It can be a declaration ticked at checkout, a date of birth field or a third-party identity-checking service, chosen to match what your licence and your state or territory expect. You confirm which is needed, and the check stays your responsibility; we give no legal advice.
Can ID be checked when a liquor order is delivered?
Yes, by your own drivers or through a carrier's alcohol service. Some carriers offer services with a signature or an ID check at the door, set up in your account with them; connecting them to the store is a quoted add-on. Your drivers follow whatever ID checks your licence and local rules require; the website records the order, not the check.
Can delivery follow our zones, hours and licence conditions?
Yes, once you tell us what they are. Delivery zones are built from postcodes, each priced under Standard's advanced shipping rules, and postcodes you do not deliver to sit outside every zone, so buyers there see only click and collect, if you offer it. A cut-off or time slots for limited delivery hours are quoted, and which limits apply is yours to confirm.
Can a liquor store offer Afterpay with Premium?
Don't count on it. Premium includes Afterpay, but Afterpay sets its own rules, and Stripe currently lists alcohol among the business categories that cannot use it. Card payments and PayPal come with every package, though PayPal requires pre-approval for selling alcoholic beverages. We check each provider's current rules before the build and agree what is paid online, by bank transfer or at pickup.
Can we sell by the bottle, the case and the mixed dozen?
Yes. A bottle and a case can be variations of one product, each with its own price and stock count, in standard WooCommerce; if selling a case should reduce bottle stock by six or twelve, that is quoted. A set mixed dozen is its own product, one the buyer chooses is custom work, and discounts on any six or twelve bottles use the quoted dynamic pricing add-on.
When a new vintage arrives, who updates the store?
Your team can, because you own the store and hold the administrator login. A new vintage can replace the old one on the same product page, keeping its address, or sit beside it as a variation while stock lasts, and WooCommerce's CSV importer updates prices and stock in bulk. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training, and our maintenance packages can take on updates for you.
How long does it take to launch a liquor store, approvals included?
A basic store usually takes two to three weeks; age confirmation, delivery time slots, carrier connections and a large range add time, agreed with the scope and price. Approvals are outside our control: PayPal's pre-approval for alcohol and a carrier's alcohol service are arranged between you and them, so we raise them at scoping and you apply while the store is built.
Can people searching for liquor delivery find our bottle shop?
They can, but no one can promise a position. Standard and Premium include keyword and category research and on-page work, so category and product pages use the words people search with, from liquor delivery to a region or grape variety. Premium adds AI search optimisation (GEO), though AI citations can't be promised either, and ongoing SEO after launch is a separate service.
Start with your licence and your range.
Tell us what you sell, from single bottles to mixed dozens, where you deliver, whether buyers can collect, and what your licence asks of online orders. DIGITALON's in-house team at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast will check your payment provider's and carriers' rules for alcohol, match the store to a package and confirm the price in writing.
