Build a website for eCommerce that fits how you sell.

Not every business sells the same way: some take card payments from shoppers, some take orders from trade accounts, some send quotes, and some book or teach as well. DIGITALON builds the WooCommerce website that suits your model, at a fixed price agreed first.

Your sales model shapes the website.

A website built for eCommerce is not one design with different products dropped in. A shop selling to the public needs prices, a cart and a fast checkout. A wholesaler needs trade logins, account prices and ordering by quantity. A business that prices every job needs product pages that end in an enquiry, not a cart. Some businesses mix two or more of these, and the website has to keep them apart.

We start by mapping how you sell today, who buys, how they pay and what they need to see, then build the WooCommerce website around it. Retail selling comes with every package; trade pricing, quote requests and other custom ordering rules are scoped and quoted before work starts, and bookings or online courses are planned as their own part of the site.

Four ways a business sells online.

Most stores are one of these, or a mix. We map yours before quoting, because the model can change the scope as much as the size of the range.

Retail: shoppers pay at checkout

Public prices, a cart and a checkout with card and PayPal payments, built in every package. Standard adds customer accounts, filters and advanced shipping rules; Premium adds Apple Pay, Google Pay, Afterpay and order tracking.

Trade: accounts with their own prices

Approved trade customers log in to see their prices, order by quantity and pay by the method you agree, while the public sees retail prices. Wholesale pricing, minimum orders and payment on account are scoped and quoted.

Quote: products that end in an enquiry

When every job is priced to order, product pages can show the options and finish with an enquiry form instead of a cart. If nothing is ever bought online, our website design packages may suit better than a store.

Mixed: products beside bookings or courses

A business can sell products and also take bookings or teach online. Booking systems with time slots are scoped separately (see booking website design), and course websites are built with LearnDash (see selling online courses).

Each buyer on their own path

Trade logins, retail checkout and enquiry forms each lead somewhere different, so menus, product pages and order emails are planned for each kind of buyer. Nobody should see a trade price, or a cart, that is not meant for them.

Packages for each way of selling.

Retail selling is built into every package. Trade pricing, quote lists and other custom ordering rules are quoted on top, once your model is mapped.

Hosting, your domain, your payment provider’s transaction fees and ongoing maintenance are separate. The page counts are website pages, not a product limit: catalogue size, product imports, migrations and custom integrations are agreed and quoted before work starts. Compare every inclusion and the optional features on eCommerce pricing, or see website design packages if you do not need a shop.

Your store, your hosting, your login.

Every DIGITALON store is a custom WordPress and WooCommerce build. WooCommerce is free and open source, takes no commission on your sales and runs on hosting you choose, with the administrator login yours from day one.

The shop and the pages that bring shoppers to it live in one WordPress site, edited the same way. You can run it yourself, or hand the updates to the team that built it.

01

No platform commission

Your payment provider charges its transaction fee. WooCommerce itself takes no percentage of your sales and has no monthly platform fee.

02

Hosting you choose

Keep your own host, or use our managed WordPress hosting, sized for the catalogue and the traffic you expect.

03

Care after launch

Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates, backups, security checks and support.

04

One Australian team

The people who scope, design and build the store are the people who answer your questions, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.

From brief to first order.

A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, and we tell you how much before we begin.

Step 01

Scope and price

We agree the pages, catalogue, features and search work, then confirm the package, any extras and the payment stages in writing.

Step 02

Design

You see the design and sign it off before the build starts, while changing a layout is still quick.

Step 03

Build and test

Products, payments, shipping and tax are set up in WooCommerce, then tested with real orders on a phone and a desktop.

Step 04

Launch and hand over

We go live and hand over your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store.

Online stores we have built.

These are stores and online sales sites our team designed and built. They show completed work, not a promise of the same result for every business.

I was very impressed as they were very responsive and helpful as I was a newbie. Good communication with Sabrina who took the time to explain all the process and gave some tips.

eCommerce website model questions.

Retail, trade, quotes, bookings, courses, price and timing.

Ask us about your store
What does a website for eCommerce cost to build?

Retail selling is included in every package: $4,990 for Basic (6 pages), $5,990 for Standard (10 pages) or $7,990 for Premium (20 pages), as a one-off build price. Trade pricing, quote lists, booking systems and other custom features are quoted before work starts.

The packages are compared on our eCommerce pricing page.

Is GST included in the build price for a trade or wholesale site?

Yes. The package prices are in Australian dollars and include GST, itemised on your invoice. In the store itself, a price display suffix can show the ex-GST figure beside each price, which trade buyers comparing costs tend to look for.

Can we sell to the public and to trade customers from one website?

Yes. Retail shoppers see public prices and the standard checkout; approved trade customers log in to see their own prices and ordering options. The trade side, including wholesale pricing, minimum orders and payment on account, is scoped and quoted before work starts.

Can customers request a quote instead of buying online?

Yes. Products that are priced to order can finish with an enquiry form instead of a cart, and a request-a-quote list that sends several products in one enquiry is a quoted extension. We agree which products work which way at scoping.

Do we need an online store if we never take payment online?

Not necessarily. If you only want to show products and take enquiries, a standard website from our website design packages may suit better. A store makes sense once some of your products can be bought straight away.

Can we sell products and take bookings on the same website?

Yes. Products sell through WooCommerce, and appointments with time slots run through a booking system that is scoped separately; see booking website design. We plan the two together so customers move between them easily.

Can a store also sell online courses?

Yes. Course websites are built on WordPress with LearnDash, and courses can sit beside products, with WooCommerce or membership tools handling wider access rules. Our selling online courses page explains how that work is scoped.

Which package suits a business with more than one way of selling?

Standard suits most: ten pages, customer accounts, product filters and categories, PDF invoices and packing slips, advanced shipping rules and SEO. Premium adds twenty pages, CRM integration, AI search optimisation (GEO), live search, and Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay. Trade pricing, quote lists and booking systems are quoted on top of either.

How long does a mixed retail and trade website take?

A basic retail store usually takes two to three weeks. A trade area, quote requests or a booking system adds time, depending on the rules involved, and we agree the schedule with the scope and price before work starts.

Who manages trade accounts and quotes after launch?

Your team does, with the administrator login: approving trade customers, answering quote requests and processing orders, with one-to-one training in Standard and Premium. Our maintenance packages and managed WordPress hosting cover updates, backups and security.

Let's map how you sell.

Tell us who buys from you, how they pay and whether any of it is by quote, account or booking. We will map the website to your model, quote anything beyond retail selling separately and confirm the price in writing, from our team at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.
