Create an online shop on the site you have.
If your business already has a website, selling from it may not mean starting again. DIGITALON reviews your current site, then quotes either adding a WooCommerce shop to it or rebuilding it as a store, and tells you which is better value.
Your website decides the route.
Creating an online shop for a business that already has a website starts with one question: can the current site carry a shop? A WordPress site that is up to date, quick and built cleanly can usually take WooCommerce as it is. An older site, a heavily customised theme or a website built on another platform can cost less to rebuild as a store than to patch.
We look at your theme, plugins, hosting and the pages that bring in enquiries now, then quote the route that suits. Either way, your shop matches the rest of the site, the addresses that already rank are kept or redirected, and your current website stays live until the shop has been tested with real orders.
Can we keep our website?
The answer depends on how the current site was built.
- Is it on WordPress?
- Is the theme up to date?
- Which pages bring enquiries?

Fit in, not bolt on.
Shoppers should not feel they have left your website.
- The same look as your pages
- Ranking addresses kept
- Site live until the shop is tested
Ways to add a shop to your business.
Which route suits depends on your current website. We check it first, then quote the one that is better value.
WooCommerce on your WordPress site
If your site runs on WordPress with an up-to-date theme and sensible hosting, WooCommerce can be added to it, with shop, cart and checkout pages styled to match. We review the site first and quote the work.
Rebuild the site as a store
When the current site is dated or hard to extend, an eCommerce package rebuilds the whole website as a store, with your existing pages redesigned within its 6, 10 or 20 page count and the addresses that rank kept or redirected.
A separate store on its own address
If the main website has to stay exactly as it is, the store can run on its own address, such as shop.yourbusiness.com.au, with the same branding and links both ways. It suits sites on platforms WooCommerce cannot run on.
Services, vouchers and products together
A fixed-price service can be sold as a product with no shipping, and gift vouchers are a quoted extension. Appointments with time slots need a booking system, which is scoped separately; see booking website design.
Enquiries keep coming in
The pages that bring in enquiries today keep their contact forms and calls to action, so adding a shop does not cost you the leads the website already brings.
Packages when the shop is a rebuild.
When rebuilding is the better route, these one-off prices cover the whole website as a store. Adding WooCommerce to a sound WordPress site is quoted after we review it.

Hosting, your domain, your payment provider’s transaction fees and ongoing maintenance are separate. The page counts are website pages, not a product limit: catalogue size, product imports, migrations and custom integrations are agreed and quoted before work starts. Compare every inclusion and the optional features on eCommerce pricing, or see website design packages if you do not need a shop.
Your store, your hosting, your login.
Every DIGITALON store is a custom WordPress and WooCommerce build. WooCommerce is free and open source, takes no commission on your sales and runs on hosting you choose, with the administrator login yours from day one.
The shop and the pages that bring shoppers to it live in one WordPress site, edited the same way. You can run it yourself, or hand the updates to the team that built it.
No platform commission
Your payment provider charges its transaction fee. WooCommerce itself takes no percentage of your sales and has no monthly platform fee.
Hosting you choose
Keep your own host, or use our managed WordPress hosting, sized for the catalogue and the traffic you expect.
Care after launch
Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates, backups, security checks and support.
One Australian team
The people who scope, design and build the store are the people who answer your questions, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.
From brief to first order.
A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, and we tell you how much before we begin.
Scope and price
We agree the pages, catalogue, features and search work, then confirm the package, any extras and the payment stages in writing.
Design
You see the design and sign it off before the build starts, while changing a layout is still quick.
Build and test
Products, payments, shipping and tax are set up in WooCommerce, then tested with real orders on a phone and a desktop.
Launch and hand over
We go live and hand over your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store.

I was very impressed as they were very responsive and helpful as I was a newbie. Good communication with Sabrina who took the time to explain all the process and gave some tips.
Adding a shop to your website.
Your current site, rankings, services, design, price and timing.
Ask us about your store ↗What does it cost to add an online shop to our website?
It depends on the website you have. If it is on WordPress and in good shape, adding WooCommerce is quoted after we review it. If it needs rebuilding, our eCommerce packages rebuild it as a store: $4,990 for Basic (6 pages), $5,990 for Standard (10 pages) or $7,990 for Premium (20 pages), as a one-off price.
Our eCommerce pricing page compares the three.
Do the prices for adding a shop include GST?
Yes. The package prices are in Australian dollars and include GST, itemised on your invoice. Hosting, your domain and your payment provider's fees are separate.
Can WooCommerce be added to our existing WordPress website?
Usually, yes, because WooCommerce is a WordPress plugin. We first check your theme, plugins, hosting and how the site was built, because an older or heavily customised site can make the shop slow or hard to style. Then we quote either adding the shop or rebuilding, and say which is better value.
Our website is not on WordPress. What are the options?
Two. We can rebuild the website on WordPress with WooCommerce, keeping your content and the addresses that already rank, or run the store on its own address, such as shop.yourbusiness.com.au, linked from the current site. We compare both at scoping.
Will adding a shop affect our existing Google rankings?
A shop added to the current site leaves your existing pages where they are. A rebuild is planned to keep or redirect every address that already ranks, and Standard and Premium add keyword and category research and on-page SEO for the shop itself, with AI search optimisation (GEO) in Premium. No ranking can be promised through any change.
Can a service business sell gift vouchers or fixed-price services online?
Yes. A fixed-price service can be sold as a product with no shipping, and gift vouchers are a quoted extension. Appointments with time slots are a booking system, scoped separately; see booking website design.
Will the shop look like the rest of our website?
It should. On a WordPress site, the shop pages are styled to match your theme; in a rebuild, the shop and your existing pages are designed together and signed off before the build starts.
Which package fits a business adding its first products?
When the shop is a rebuild, Basic suits a handful of products with card and PayPal payments and simple shipping; Standard adds customer accounts, product filters, advanced shipping rules, PDF invoices and SEO; Premium adds Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay, live search, order tracking and AI search optimisation (GEO).
How long does it take to add a shop?
A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Adding to an existing site depends on its condition, and a rebuild with many existing pages takes longer; we agree the schedule with the quote. Your current website stays live until the shop is tested.
Who maintains the website once it sells online?
You hold the administrator login for the whole site, shop included, with one-to-one training in Standard and Premium. A shop adds plugin updates and payments to keep an eye on, so you may prefer to hand the upkeep to our maintenance packages on managed WordPress hosting.
Let's look at your current site.
Send us your website address, what you want to sell and how you deliver it. We will check how the site is built, tell you whether adding a shop or rebuilding is better value, and confirm the price in writing. Our team at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast works with businesses Australia-wide.
