WooCommerce WordPress design, all the way to checkout.

On many WordPress sites the design stops where the shop starts, and WooCommerce's default grids, buttons and checkout take over. DIGITALON designs the shop, product pages, cart and checkout in the same type, colours and buttons as your other pages, styling WooCommerce's own templates instead of replacing them.

WooCommerce brings its own templates.

WooCommerce supplies its own templates for the parts of a WordPress site that sell: the shop and category grids, the single product page, the cart and the checkout. The store's theme decides most of how they look. If the design work stops at the home and content pages, those templates fall back to plainer defaults, and shoppers meet different buttons, fonts and spacing at the moment they decide to buy.

Good WooCommerce WordPress design closes that gap. We set the type, colours, buttons and spacing once in the theme and carry them into WooCommerce's templates, keep one product page design for the whole range, and style the cart and checkout rather than rebuild them, so payment plugins keep working. Badges, store notices and the mini cart get the same treatment, and we avoid edited copies of WooCommerce's template files, which fall behind its updates.

What WooCommerce WordPress design covers.

Six places the site's design has to reach inside WooCommerce, and how we style each one.

Styles set once, in the theme

Type, colours, buttons, form fields and spacing are defined once in the store's theme, then applied to WooCommerce's shop, product, cart and checkout templates. A later change to the brand colour or button style is made in one place and reaches every page together.

Shop and category grids that match

The shop, every category and the search results share one product card: the same photo shape, name and price styles, sale badge and button. Because WooCommerce builds these lists from shared templates, categories added after launch look finished from the first day.

One product page for the whole range

Every product uses the same single-product design, so a new product looks finished as soon as it is published. A second layout is added only where a category genuinely needs different information up front, because each extra template is one more to check after every update.

Cart and checkout, styled not rebuilt

New WooCommerce stores get block-based cart and checkout pages, and a payment plugin that doesn't support them may not appear at checkout at all. We keep WooCommerce's own cart and checkout, style them to match and check each payment plugin against them, rather than swapping in a custom-built checkout.

Badges, notices and the mini cart

The sale badge, stock messages, the store notice and the mini cart turn up on page after page, so each is styled in the site's type and colours. Left at WooCommerce's defaults, small elements like these can make the shop look bolted on.

Styling instead of template copies

WooCommerce lets a theme copy its template files and edit them, but those copies don't change when WooCommerce updates its own, and its system status report then flags them as out of date. Styling the templates instead, and leaving the files untouched, gives each update far less to break.

Packages with the shop designed in.

Each one-off price, with GST included, covers the WooCommerce website design as well as the build: the shop, product pages, cart and checkout in the same style as your other pages. The packages differ in pages and store features, not in how far the design reaches.

Hosting, your domain, your payment provider’s transaction fees and ongoing maintenance are separate. The page counts are website pages, not a product limit: catalogue size, product imports, migrations and custom integrations are agreed and quoted before work starts. Compare every inclusion and the optional features on eCommerce pricing, or see website design packages if you do not need a shop.

Your store, your hosting, your login.

Every DIGITALON store is a custom WordPress and WooCommerce build. WooCommerce is free and open source, takes no commission on your sales and runs on hosting you choose, with the administrator login yours from day one.

The shop and the pages that bring shoppers to it live in one WordPress site, edited the same way. You can run it yourself, or hand the updates to the team that built it.

01

No platform commission

Your payment provider charges its transaction fee. WooCommerce itself takes no percentage of your sales and has no monthly platform fee.

02

Hosting you choose

Keep your own host, or use our managed WordPress hosting, sized for the catalogue and the traffic you expect.

03

Care after launch

Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates, backups, security checks and support.

04

One Australian team

The people who scope, design and build the store are the people who answer your questions, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.

From brief to first order.

A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, and we tell you how much before we begin.

Step 01

Scope and price

We agree the pages, catalogue, features and search work, then confirm the package, any extras and the payment stages in writing.

Step 02

Design

You see the design and sign it off before the build starts, while changing a layout is still quick.

Step 03

Build and test

Products, payments, shipping and tax are set up in WooCommerce, then tested with real orders on a phone and a desktop.

Step 04

Launch and hand over

We go live and hand over your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store.

Online stores we have built.

These are stores and online sales sites our team designed and built. They show completed work, not a promise of the same result for every business.

I was very impressed as they were very responsive and helpful as I was a newbie. Good communication with Sabrina who took the time to explain all the process and gave some tips.

WooCommerce WordPress design questions.

Price, GST, packages, category layouts, existing stores, checkout options, timing, restyling, search and updates.

Ask us about your store
Is the shop's design priced separately from the rest of the site?

No. Designing the shop, product pages, cart and checkout is part of each package's one-off price: $4,990 for Basic (6 pages), $5,990 for Standard (10 pages) or $7,990 for Premium (20 pages). A second product layout, custom features and large imports are agreed in the quote before work starts.

Compare every inclusion on eCommerce pricing.

Can an “incl. GST” label sit neatly beside each price?

Yes. WooCommerce can add a price display suffix, such as “incl. GST”, after product prices, and we style it smaller than the price so it reads as a note in the grids and on product pages. Our own package prices include GST as well: $4,990 for Basic, $5,990 for Standard and $7,990 for Premium.

Which store features does each package bring into the design?

Basic's six pages include the shop, cart and checkout, designed together with the product page. Standard adds product filters and categories to the grid, plus a wish list and a coupon field; Premium adds the mega menu, live product search, product compare and a blog. Choose by the features your shoppers need: each is styled to match, not left at its default.

Can one category have its own product page layout?

Yes, where it earns its place. If one category needs different information up front, a second layout is designed for it with the rest of the store and agreed in the quote. We keep these rare: the rest of the range shares one template, and each extra one is another to check after updates.

Can you restyle the WooCommerce parts of a store we already run?

Usually, after a review. We first check the theme, any copied WooCommerce template files and the extensions, because out-of-date copies can break when a shop is restyled or updated. Then we quote restyling the current build or a rebuild on a package, whichever is better value; see website redesign services. A store on another platform is assessed for a move to WooCommerce instead.

Do shipping choices and payment buttons follow the design too?

Yes, within what each provider allows. Shipping choices and the payment list are styled with the site, while express buttons such as Apple Pay and Google Pay use the sizes and colour themes their payment plugin offers. Every package takes Stripe and PayPal with flat-rate or free shipping; Standard adds advanced shipping rules, and Premium adds Apple Pay, Google Pay, Afterpay and a shipping calculator.

Does the shop's design add a stage to the schedule?

No. The shop, product page, cart and checkout are designed alongside the home and content pages and signed off together before the build. A basic store usually takes two to three weeks from start to launch; a second product layout or custom features add time, which we state in the quote.

What can we restyle ourselves without breaking the shop?

Anything the design keeps in one place: brand colours and fonts where the theme holds them centrally, product photos in the same shape as the rest, and WooCommerce settings such as the price suffix. Leave template files, the checkout's layout and custom code to us. The store and its administrator login are yours, with one-to-one training in Standard and Premium.

Does restyling WooCommerce's templates affect search?

Not by itself: styling changes how pages look, not their addresses or the product details on them, though a heavy design can slow pages, so we keep it light. Standard adds keyword and category research with on-page SEO, Premium adds AI search optimisation (GEO), and ongoing work sits in our SEO packages; no one can promise a position.

Who checks the shop's design after WooCommerce updates?

We can. The Advanced and Premium levels of our maintenance packages include hosting and eCommerce site updates, and the shop is checked after each round of updates. Because the design styles WooCommerce rather than copying its files, there is less to put right. If the store is hosted elsewhere, on-demand support can do the same checks, quoted first.

Let's carry your design into WooCommerce.

Send us your website address, or a site whose look you like, and tell us what you sell. We will show how the shop, product pages, cart and checkout would carry the same design, recommend a package and confirm the price in writing, from our team at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.
