eCommerce web layout that works on a phone.
Most of a store's layout decisions are really phone decisions: how many products fit across, where the filters go, how the gallery swipes and where the buy button sits. DIGITALON plans each layout at phone and desktop width, and you approve both before the build.
A phone turns four columns into one.
A desktop store can show four products across, filters down the side and a large gallery beside the product details. None of that fits a phone held in one hand. The layout has to decide what folds away, what stays on screen and what moves, without hiding the information a shopper needs to choose.
We plan each store's layout at both widths before it is built: usually two products across on a phone, filters from Standard in a panel that slides in, a swipeable gallery, the price and add-to-cart button kept in reach, and a checkout that asks for as little typing as possible. You approve both versions, then we test them with real orders.

How a store's layout changes on a phone.
These are the layout decisions we make for every store, at phone and desktop width, before the build begins.
Product grids that stay readable
On a phone, two products across usually keeps photos large enough to judge and names readable without squinting. Every product photo uses the same shape, so rows line up and prices sit at the same height.
Filters that slide in, not crowd out
A sidebar of filters becomes a button that opens a panel on a phone, and the filters in use stay listed above the results so they are easy to clear. Filters come with Standard and Premium, built from your product attributes.
A gallery shoppers can swipe
Product photos become a swipeable gallery at full width, with zoom where detail matters. Keep the first photo the clearest view of the product, because on a phone it may be the only one many shoppers look at.
The buy button within thumb reach
Price, options and the add-to-cart button sit near the top of the product page on a phone, ahead of long descriptions, and a button that stays in view as the shopper scrolls can keep it one tap away.
Details folded, not deleted
Specifications, delivery and returns, and reviews fold into sections a shopper opens when they need them. The information is all still on the page, and still readable by search engines, without making the phone version a long scroll.
A checkout with less typing
Large fields in one column, the right keyboard for each field, address autofill where the phone offers it, and Apple Pay and Google Pay with Premium, so paying on a small screen takes as few taps as possible.

- Your CRM integrated
Hosting, your domain, your payment provider’s transaction fees and ongoing maintenance are separate. The page counts are website pages, not a product limit: catalogue size, product imports, migrations and custom integrations are agreed and quoted before work starts. Compare every inclusion and the optional features on eCommerce pricing, or see website design packages if you do not need a shop.
Your store, your hosting, your login.
Every DIGITALON store is a custom WordPress and WooCommerce build. WooCommerce is free and open source, takes no commission on your sales and runs on hosting you choose, with the administrator login yours from day one.
The shop and the pages that bring shoppers to it live in one WordPress site, edited the same way. You can run it yourself, or hand the updates to the team that built it.
No platform commission
Your payment provider charges its transaction fee. WooCommerce itself takes no percentage of your sales and has no monthly platform fee.
Hosting you choose
Keep your own host, or use our managed WordPress hosting, sized for the catalogue and the traffic you expect.
Care after launch
Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates, backups, security checks and support.
One Australian team
The people who scope, design and build the store are the people who answer your questions, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.
From brief to first order.
A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, and we tell you how much before we begin.
Scope and price
We agree the pages, catalogue, features and search work, then confirm the package, any extras and the payment stages in writing.
Design
You see the design and sign it off before the build starts, while changing a layout is still quick.
Build and test
Products, payments, shipping and tax are set up in WooCommerce, then tested with real orders on a phone and a desktop.
Launch and hand over
We go live and hand over your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store.

I was very impressed as they were very responsive and helpful as I was a newbie. Good communication with Sabrina who took the time to explain all the process and gave some tips.
eCommerce web layout questions.
Cost, GST, grids, filters, product pages, checkout and changes.
Ask us about your store ↗What does a store with phone and desktop layouts cost?
Both layouts are part of every package's one-off price: $4,990 for Basic, $5,990 for Standard or $7,990 for Premium. There is no separate charge for the phone version; custom features outside a package are quoted before work starts.
Compare the inclusions on eCommerce pricing.
Will prices show GST the same way on phones and desktops?
Yes. Prices are entered with GST included and shown the same way at every width, with any note such as “incl. GST” kept short enough for a phone. Our own package prices include GST too: $4,990, $5,990 and $7,990.
How many products should show across a phone screen?
Usually two, which keeps photos large enough to judge and leaves room for the name and price. Products judged on fine detail, such as jewellery or art prints, can suit one across with larger photos; we decide it from your range.
Where do filters go on a phone?
Behind a filter button that opens a panel, so the products keep the screen. The filters in use stay listed above the results, so a shopper can clear one without reopening the panel. Filters come with Standard and Premium.
Does a sticky add-to-cart button help on a phone?
On long product pages it often does, because the button stays one tap away while the shopper reads. On short pages it can get in the way, so we use it where the page length calls for it rather than everywhere.
Will long product descriptions make the phone page too long?
Not if they fold. Specifications, delivery details and reviews can sit in sections that open with a tap, so the price and buy button stay near the top and nothing is removed for shoppers who want detail or for search engines.
Which package suits a large range browsed mostly on phones?
Usually Premium: live search shows results as a shopper types, the mega menu folds into a tidy phone menu, and Apple Pay and Google Pay shorten checkout. Standard's filters already help a mid-sized range on a small screen.
Do we approve the phone layout separately from the desktop one?
You see both at the design stage and approve them together, with your real products in place where we have them. Changing a layout at that point is quick; changing it after the build is not.
Does designing for phones add time to the build?
Not as an extra stage: phone and desktop layouts are designed together, and a basic store usually takes two to three weeks from start to launch. Unusual layouts or custom features can add time, and we tell you how much before work starts.
What happens to the layout when we add products later?
It holds, because the grids and galleries are built to take any number of products in a set photo shape. Upload new photos in the same proportions as the rest of the range and they line up; our maintenance packages can do it if you would rather not.
Let's lay out your store.
Send us a few products, with photos if you have them, and tell us how your customers shop. We will explain how the layout would work on a phone and a desktop, recommend a package and confirm the price in writing before the design starts, from our team at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.
