Web design Toowoomba for the Downs and beyond.
DIGITALON builds custom WordPress websites for Toowoomba businesses, from agricultural suppliers and engineers serving the Darling Downs to trades and practices with clients down the range. Our in-house team at Wurtulla, on the Sunshine Coast, plans and builds each one for a price agreed in writing.
On the range, facing two ways.
Toowoomba sits on the crest of the Great Dividing Range, where South East Queensland gives way to the Darling Downs. West of the city, grain, cotton and cattle country runs out past Oakey, Pittsworth and Dalby. To the east, the range drops away to the Lockyer Valley, with Ipswich and Brisbane beyond, so a Toowoomba business can find customers in both directions.
Customers on each side judge a business differently. A grower on the Downs wants proof that you know the machinery, the crops and the district before letting you onto the property, while a builder in Ipswich or a buyer in Brisbane is comparing you with firms closer to home and looks for credentials, lead times and whether you work down the range. The website has to satisfy both.
Will they come out to us?
A grower on a Downs property and a client down the range both want to know early whether you travel to them, and how that works.
- The towns and districts you cover
- The days you work down the range
- Jobs like theirs, with photos
SITE
Give each side its own page.
A page for Downs customers and another for clients down the range, each with its own proof and a quick way to call, show both that you suit them.
- A page for each service line
- Coverage named on both sides
- A call button on every page
What every DIGITALON website includes.
The same Australian team designs, builds, hosts and supports the site, so nothing in the list below is quoted again later.
Designed for your business, not a theme
Every page is designed from scratch in WordPress around what you sell and who buys it. You are not picking a template and hoping your content fits it.
Built to be found
Clean structure, fast pages, sensible headings and metadata come as standard. Keyword research and on-page SEO are included from Standard, and AI search optimisation at Premium.
Readable on the phone first
Most local searches happen on a phone. Layouts, menus, forms and buttons are checked at desktop, tablet and phone widths before the site goes live.
Yours to edit
You get the admin login, a site you can update yourself and 1:1 training at Premium. If you would rather not touch it, our maintenance packages cover the updates for you.
Hosted and supported in Australia
Australian cloud hosting, SSL, nightly backups and a support team you can reach by phone or email, with no offshore help desk in between.
The price of a Toowoomba website.
Essentials covers a single service in five pages; Standard's ten leave room for separate pages aimed at Downs customers and at clients down the range; Premium's twenty suit a firm with several branches, product lines or a news page.

Wurtulla, where our designers and developers work, is a Sunshine Coast suburb north of Brisbane; Toowoomba sits on the range to Brisbane's west, and DIGITALON has no office on the Downs. Calls, emails and screen-shared online meetings carry the project, and you deal with one contact at DIGITALON from the opening call until the site is live.
If your week is split between the yard, the office and properties out on the Downs, reviews go in the diary for when you can sit at a screen. You add what no outsider could know, such as the jobs worth taking down the range and the questions farm customers always ask, and you approve each page in draft before launch.
Mapped for the Downs and down the rangeTwo front doors
Growers and rural customers start from one page and clients in the Lockyer Valley, Ipswich or Brisbane from another, each written in the terms that customer uses.
Days down the range
If you work in Gatton, Laidley or Ipswich on set days, the site can say which days, so customers down there know when to book you.
A way in for heavy vehicles
Where customers bring trucks, trailers or machinery to your yard, the contact page can say which route suits them, including from the Toowoomba Bypass, and when the gate is open.
Machines and crops you know
A grower can see at a glance which makes, models or crops you handle, described the way people on the Downs talk about them.
We deliver. You celebrate.
A website build runs on a short, predictable path. Most sites take one to three weeks to a first version, then move at the pace of your feedback.
Talk it through
We ask what the business does, who you want to reach and what the website has to achieve.
Agree the plan
You get a fixed price, a page map and a content outline, with placeholders where you need them.
Design and build
We design the pages, build them in WordPress and check them at every screen size.
Review and launch
Three rounds of revisions on structure and content, then launch, training and support.
Work you can click through.
These are websites our team designed and built. They are examples of completed work, not a promise of the same result for every business.

What attracted us to DIGITALON is their promise to make sites that work. They absolutely delivered on this.
Toowoomba website questions, answered.
What Toowoomba and Downs businesses ask about cost, GST, timing, search, the range and keeping a site running.
Ask us about your website ↗Half our work is on Downs farms and half is down the range. How big a site do we need?
Usually ten pages, which makes Standard at $3,990 the fit. Alongside home, about, contact and your service pages, it leaves room for one page written for farm customers on the Downs and another for clients in the Lockyer Valley, Ipswich and Brisbane, and Standard's keyword research and on-page SEO help each page use the words its own readers search with.
With one service and one market, the five-page Essentials package at $2,990 may be enough, while a firm with several branches or product lines is better served by Premium's twenty pages at $4,990. Website design pricing sets the three packages side by side.
We budget for a website the way we budget for new farm gear. Is GST already in your figure?
Yes. The number on the package is the number on the invoice: $2,990, $3,990 or $4,990, GST included and in Australian dollars, and our tax invoice shows the GST on a line of its own.
A business on the Downs pays the same published prices as one on the Sunshine Coast, and anything outside the package, for example more pages or a link to software you already use, is priced in writing first.
We build outdoor furniture in a Toowoomba workshop. Can Brisbane customers order online and have it delivered down the range?
Yes. The Standard store at $5,990 suits a range like that: ten pages, product categories and filters, customer accounts that keep order history, SEO and advanced shipping rules, so delivery to Brisbane can be charged differently from orders on the Downs. A smaller range can start on Basic, a six-page store at $4,990 that accepts card and PayPal and charges one flat shipping rate.
At $7,990, Premium adds a shipping cost calculator so buyers see delivery before paying, plus product compare and Afterpay, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Collection from your workshop and links to a freight carrier are scoped and quoted before we build them, and the build price doesn't cover hosting, the domain, payment fees or maintenance; see eCommerce pricing.
We install wood heaters, and the calls start when the frosts arrive. How early should the website work begin?
Before autumn, so start in summer if you can. Expect the first version roughly one to two weeks into the project, or later if the site needs more functions, and then three rounds of revisions that move as quickly as you reply.
Starting early means the site is live before the first cold nights on the range bring heating enquiries, rather than going up while your installers are already flat out.
We'd like spring photos of the gardens we've built around Toowoomba. Should the website wait for them?
No need to wait. The build can start with the photos you already have, royalty-free stock images can fill any gaps, and placeholders can hold the spots meant for spring shots taken when the Garden City is in full flower.
The content outline we send breaks each page into the points it should cover, so you can describe your work in your own words while the season comes round. New photos can go in before launch or be added later from your admin login.
On a phone, how does a grower find our farm work without scrolling through the commercial jobs?
Through a short menu with two clear starting points, such as Farm and Commercial, and a call button near the top of every page. Each page also puts the towns you service and your contact details early, and we look over every layout at three screen sizes, phone, tablet and desktop, before launch.
Everyone on the Downs knows our name, but buyers in Brisbane don't. How does search help there?
By targeting what those buyers type, which is usually the service rather than your name. Standard includes keyword research, which reveals the phrases Ipswich and Brisbane buyers use for work like yours, and on-page SEO places those phrases, with the areas you serve, in page titles, headings and descriptions.
AI search optimisation (GEO) comes with Premium, setting out your services and the area you cover in a form AI assistants can work with. What appears in Google or an AI answer is outside anyone's control, ours included, so we make no promise of a position or a mention; longer-term search work belongs to our SEO packages.
Our web address has Toowoomba in it, but we now work across the Downs and down the range. Should a redesign change it?
Not necessarily. A town in the domain doesn't stop your pages from naming every area you serve, and keeping the address you have is the simpler path. If you do move to a new domain, a website redesign maps each old address to its match on the new one with redirects, so links and bookmarks still lead somewhere useful.
Either way, content that already brings enquiries comes across. The cost depends on the page plan, content and migration work: a straightforward redesign may fit a website package, while a larger one gets a tailored quote first.
We only change our pages before summer and winter planting. Do we still need maintenance?
Usually, yes, because WordPress, its plugins and its security need attention all year, not only when your content changes. Our maintenance packages cover updates, nightly backups, security monitoring and small content changes, so the site stays sound between seasons.
The site can run on our Australian WordPress hosting, with SSL, firewall protection and 24/7 hosting monitoring, and the Standard, Advanced and Premium hosting plans include moving an existing WordPress site across after we have reviewed it.
Our customers are spread from Crows Nest to Millmerran. Can a team on the coast map that properly?
Yes, because the map comes from you, not our guesswork: on the first call you list the towns, districts and runs you service on both sides of the range, and that list becomes the coverage on your site. One contact on our Wurtulla team then runs the project by call, email and online meeting, with each draft up on a shared screen where you can mark changes.
We don't have an office in Toowoomba. Our contact page lets you book that first call, and the portfolio shows finished sites in the meantime.

Tell us what you do, which Downs towns you service and how much work comes from down the range, or just send your current web address. We'll come back with the package that fits and its fixed price, GST included, then find a time to plan the page list together, by phone or online meeting.
