Web design Rockhampton for Central Queensland business.
DIGITALON designs and builds WordPress websites for Rockhampton businesses, from rural suppliers, vets and livestock carriers to shops, clinics and trades on both sides of the Fitzroy River. Our designers and developers are at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast, and the price is fixed in writing before we begin.
A city that serves the region.
Rockhampton sits on the Fitzroy River where the Bruce and Capricorn highways meet, with a spire marking the Tropic of Capricorn on the way into town. The city calls itself the beef capital of Australia, cattle sales run at nearby Gracemere, and CQUniversity's main campus is here, so the people walking into its shops and offices come from far and wide.
Many businesses here serve customers from well beyond the city: graziers and contractors from the Central Highlands, families from the Capricorn Coast around Yeppoon and Emu Park, and students and staff at the university. A Rockhampton website has to show those customers that the trip, the call or the order is worth making, with ranges, hours and services they can check before they set out.
Worth the trip into town?
Customers who travel in from stations, the coast or the highlands check ranges, hours and services before they leave home.
- What is in stock or on offer
- Hours, parking and directions
- Who to ring with a question
SITE
Answer before the drive.
Pages that show ranges, services and the areas you deliver to let a customer decide from a phone whether to call, order or come in.
- A page for each range or service
- Delivery and freight areas named

What every DIGITALON website includes.
The same Australian team designs, builds, hosts and supports the site, so nothing in the list below is quoted again later.
Designed for your business, not a theme
Every page is designed from scratch in WordPress around what you sell and who buys it. You are not picking a template and hoping your content fits it.
Built to be found
Clean structure, fast pages, sensible headings and metadata come as standard. Keyword research and on-page SEO are included from Standard, and AI search optimisation at Premium.
Readable on the phone first
Most local searches happen on a phone. Layouts, menus, forms and buttons are checked at desktop, tablet and phone widths before the site goes live.
Yours to edit
You get the admin login, a site you can update yourself and 1:1 training at Premium. If you would rather not touch it, our maintenance packages cover the updates for you.
Hosted and supported in Australia
Australian cloud hosting, SSL, nightly backups and a support team you can reach by phone or email, with no offshore help desk in between.

View details ↗A Rockhampton site, planned from Wurtulla.
Our team is at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast, well south of the Tropic, and we have no office in Rockhampton. Instead the project runs on phone calls, email and online meetings, and one person on our team is your contact from the first conversation to launch.
That suits businesses whose owners are often on the road between town, the stations and the coast. Reviews are booked when you are back at a desk, and you supply what only a local knows, such as which ranges sell, which towns you deliver to and what customers ask at the counter, before every page is approved in draft.
Planned around time on the roadDelivery areas made clear
If you freight out to the Central Highlands or deliver to the Capricorn Coast, the site names the towns and explains how ordering works.
Ranges you can update
New stock, seasonal ranges and price changes can be edited from your own admin login, so the site stays as current as the shop floor.
Ready for event weeks
Specials, extended hours and stand details for big events in town can go up quickly and come down again afterwards.
A contact who knows your site
The person who plans your pages is the one who takes your calls after launch, so you never explain the business twice.
We deliver. You celebrate.
A website build runs on a short, predictable path. Most sites take one to three weeks to a first version, then move at the pace of your feedback.
Talk it through
We ask what the business does, who you want to reach and what the website has to achieve.
Agree the plan
You get a fixed price, a page map and a content outline, with placeholders where you need them.
Design and build
We design the pages, build them in WordPress and check them at every screen size.
Review and launch
Three rounds of revisions on structure and content, then launch, training and support.

What attracted us to DIGITALON is their promise to make sites that work. They absolutely delivered on this.
Rockhampton web design questions.
Prices, GST, delivery areas, events and support, for businesses in Rockhampton and across Central Queensland.
Ask us about your website ↗We run a livestock transport business. What pages does our website need?
Usually about ten, which is Standard at $3,990: home, about and contact, a page for each type of work, one for the areas and routes you cover, one on your fleet and one for quote requests. Keyword research and on-page SEO come with Standard, so those pages use the terms graziers and agents actually search.
A smaller operator can start on Essentials, five pages for $2,990, and a larger carrier with depots or several divisions may need Premium, twenty pages for $4,990. Compare them on website design pricing.
What does GST add to the Standard package for a Rockhampton business?
Nothing on top: the $3,990 already includes it. Every package price, $2,990, $3,990 or $4,990, is in Australian dollars with GST included, and the GST is itemised on your tax invoice.
Additions beyond the package, like extra pages or an integration, are quoted in writing first; hosting and maintenance are optional monthly plans.
We sell saddlery and western wear. Can customers on stations order online and have it posted?
Yes. Basic, at $4,990, is a six-page WooCommerce store taking card and PayPal payments with a flat postage rate. For a range in many sizes and styles, Standard at $5,990 adds product filters and categories, customer accounts, SEO and advanced shipping rules for different delivery zones.
Premium, at $7,990, adds a shipping cost calculator so station customers see postage before paying, plus order tracking, live product search and Afterpay, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Hosting, domain, payment fees and maintenance are budgeted separately; eCommerce pricing compares the packages.
We want a new site before Beef Australia brings buyers to town. When should we start?
Well ahead of the expo. Building to a first version takes about one to two weeks on average, longer when the site has more features, and three revision rounds then follow at whatever pace your feedback allows.
Starting a couple of months before the event leaves room for photos, product details and a calm launch, rather than a rush in the week the town fills up.
Most of our product knowledge lives in our staff's heads. How does it get onto the website?
Through the content outline. It lists the questions each page should answer, such as what a product is for, who it suits and what customers usually ask, so staff can jot answers in dot points between customers, and placeholders stand in for anything still missing.
You approve every page in draft, so the wording that goes live is wording your team is happy to stand behind.
Students from CQUniversity are a big part of our trade. What do they need from the site on a phone?
Quick answers: what you offer, prices or specials if you publish them, opening hours, where you are and the fastest way to get in touch. On a phone those sit near the top, with buttons that call or open directions in one tap.
We check each layout on phone, tablet and desktop before launch, so it reads properly on the screen a student actually uses.
Should our pages say Central Queensland, the Capricorn region or just Rockhampton?
Rockhampton first, then the wider names where they describe customers you really serve. Keyword research, included from Standard, shows which names people use when searching for your service, and on-page SEO places them in headings, page titles and descriptions.
With Premium comes AI search optimisation (GEO), laying out your services and the region you serve so AI assistants can follow it. What any search engine or AI tool displays is up to them, so we promise no position or mention; our SEO packages are there for ongoing work.
Our site has a page per product range that nobody updates. Should a redesign keep them?
Keep the ones that bring visitors and merge the rest. During a website redesign, range pages that already earn traffic stay at their current addresses, thin ones are folded into stronger pages with redirects, and content that still works comes across.
The new pages are self-editable, so whoever looks after a range can update it. A smaller redesign may come within a website package; larger ones are quoted to scope.
Do we pay for hosting separately, and can we keep our existing domain?
Hosting is an optional monthly plan, and yes, you keep your domain: the new site is connected to it at launch. Our Australian WordPress hosting runs on servers in Australia with SSL and backups.
If you would rather not handle updates yourself, our maintenance packages cover WordPress updates, security and small content changes.
Who actually builds the site, and will we talk to them?
Our in-house team at Wurtulla designs, builds and supports it; nothing is passed to an outside contractor. You deal with one contact the whole way through, by phone, email or online meeting, and we share drafts on screen so you can show us what to change.
Book a time on our contact page, and browse finished sites in our portfolio first.

Plan a site worth the drive.
Tell us what you sell or do, where your customers come from, from the Capricorn Coast to the highlands, and how they order or book today. From that we'll suggest the right package, put the fixed price including GST in writing and book a call or online meeting around your week on the road.
