Gladstone website design for contractors and locals.
DIGITALON designs and builds WordPress websites for Gladstone businesses, from engineering, maintenance and labour-hire contractors serving the port and plants to shops, clinics and tourism operators across the region. We work from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast and agree a fixed price in writing before the build begins.
Show capability before the tender.
Gladstone is built around its harbour. The port on Port Curtis ships coal, alumina, aluminium and LNG, and the alumina refineries, the Boyne Island smelter and the LNG plants on Curtis Island keep a long list of engineering, maintenance, transport and labour-hire businesses busy, especially when a plant shutdown brings in extra crews.
For those businesses a website works like a capability statement anyone can open. A buyer or project engineer checking a new supplier wants the services, licences, equipment and safety systems at a glance, with examples of comparable work. At the same time, residents and visitors heading to Tannum Sands, Agnes Water or Heron Island still search for everyday services.
Can they do the job safely?
A buyer shortlisting suppliers looks for the right services, licences and safety systems before deciding who to call.
- Services and equipment, listed plainly
- Licences, tickets and accreditations
- Comparable jobs, described clearly
SITE
Answer the prequalification questions.
Pages that set out capability, safety systems and contacts make it easy to add you to a shortlist, and easy for crews to apply.
- A capability page you can link to
- Documents ready to request
- A careers page for shutdown crews
What every DIGITALON website includes.
The same Australian team designs, builds, hosts and supports the site, so nothing in the list below is quoted again later.
Designed for your business, not a theme
Every page is designed from scratch in WordPress around what you sell and who buys it. You are not picking a template and hoping your content fits it.
Built to be found
Clean structure, fast pages, sensible headings and metadata come as standard. Keyword research and on-page SEO are included from Standard, and AI search optimisation at Premium.
Readable on the phone first
Most local searches happen on a phone. Layouts, menus, forms and buttons are checked at desktop, tablet and phone widths before the site goes live.
Yours to edit
You get the admin login, a site you can update yourself and 1:1 training at Premium. If you would rather not touch it, our maintenance packages cover the updates for you.
Hosted and supported in Australia
Australian cloud hosting, SSL, nightly backups and a support team you can reach by phone or email, with no offshore help desk in between.
Gladstone websites at one-off prices.
Five pages suit a sole contractor with one trade, ten leave room for each service line plus safety and careers pages, and twenty suit a larger firm with several divisions or a library of projects.

View details ↗Built for Gladstone, run from Wurtulla.
Wurtulla, on the Sunshine Coast, is a long way south of Gladstone, and we don't have an office in Central Queensland. Instead your project runs through calls, email and screen-shared online meetings, and one named contact on our side handles it from the first call to launch.
That suits contractors who are on site all day and in the office early or late. Reviews are booked around rosters and shutdowns, and you supply what only you know, such as the tickets your crews hold, the equipment you own and the jobs you are proudest of, before every page is approved in draft.
Booked around rosters and shutdownsWhen site photos aren't allowed
Where site rules stop you photographing your work, pages can describe jobs in words or use approved images instead.
Capability in one link
A capability page you can send with a quote or tender, kept current from your own admin login.
Careers for shutdown crews
A careers page and a short application form help when a shutdown needs extra hands at short notice.
Industry and locals, kept apart
Industrial clients and local customers each get their own path through the site, so neither has to wade through the other's pages.
We deliver. You celebrate.
A website build runs on a short, predictable path. Most sites take one to three weeks to a first version, then move at the pace of your feedback.
Talk it through
We ask what the business does, who you want to reach and what the website has to achieve.
Agree the plan
You get a fixed price, a page map and a content outline, with placeholders where you need them.
Design and build
We design the pages, build them in WordPress and check them at every screen size.
Review and launch
Three rounds of revisions on structure and content, then launch, training and support.

Gladstone website design questions.
Prices, GST, tenders, recruitment and support, for contractors and local businesses across the Gladstone Region.
Ask us about your website ↗We're a fabrication and maintenance contractor with four service lines. Which package fits?
Usually Standard, ten pages for $3,990: home, about and contact, one page for each service line, and pages for safety and quality, projects and careers. Its keyword research and on-page SEO mean each service page uses the words buyers search with.
A sole trader with one trade can start on Essentials, five pages for $2,990. A larger firm with several divisions or a long project list may need Premium, twenty pages for $4,990. Compare them on website design pricing.
Our company issues purchase orders. Is GST included in the amount we should raise?
Yes. Raise the order for the package price as published, because every price already includes GST: $2,990, $3,990 or $4,990 in Australian dollars. The GST is itemised on our tax invoice for your accounts team.
Extra pages, integrations or anything else beyond the package are quoted in writing first, so no variation lands unannounced.
We sell PPE and safety gear. Can trade customers order online with their own accounts?
Yes, from the Standard store. At $5,990 it gives buyers their own accounts with order history, PDF invoices and packing slips, discount coupons and filters to find a product by category, which suits repeat trade orders. A simpler six-page Basic store costs $4,990.
Premium, at $7,990, adds live product search, product compare, a shipping cost calculator and your CRM integrated. Trade pricing that differs by customer is a custom feature we scope and quote first. Hosting, domain, gateway fees and maintenance are costed separately; see eCommerce pricing.
A tender closes in a month. Can we have a website live before then?
Often, yes, if the content is close to ready. A first version is typically on screen one to two weeks after we start, or later for a site with more functions, then three revision rounds follow as quickly as you can respond.
Tell us the closing date on the first call, and we will plan the page list so the capability and safety pages are finished first.
Our capability statement is a PDF. Can the website be built from it?
Yes, it is a good starting point. Its services, equipment, licences and project examples become proper web pages that people can read on a phone and search engines can index, and the PDF itself can stay available for buyers who want a copy.
Our content outline shows what each page still needs, and placeholders hold the gaps, so you can fill in details between jobs.
Applicants for shutdown work apply from their phones. Can the careers form handle that?
Yes. The careers page leads with the roles, the dates you are hiring for and the tickets required, and the application form is short enough to finish on a phone with one thumb. We test the form and every layout on phones, tablets and desktops before launch.
Clear requirements on the page also mean fewer applications from people who don't hold the tickets you need.
Should our site target Gladstone, Central Queensland or the industries we serve?
All three, where each is true. Keyword research, included from Standard, shows how buyers and locals search for your services, and on-page SEO then uses Gladstone, the wider region and your industries in headings, page titles and descriptions.
At Premium, AI search optimisation (GEO) sets out your capabilities and service area in a structure AI tools can read. We can't control what Google or an AI assistant shows, so there is no promised ranking or citation; our SEO packages handle ongoing work.
Our website was built around past construction projects. Can a redesign refocus it on maintenance work?
Yes. A website redesign can lead with the maintenance and shutdown services you sell now, while keeping the web addresses that still bring enquiries and redirecting old project pages to their closest match.
The finished construction jobs can stay as project examples. A modest redesign can often be handled within a website package, while a bigger one is quoted to scope first.
Our industrial clients take security seriously. How is the website kept secure?
With layers rather than a single fix. Every site gets an SSL certificate and nightly backups, Standard and Premium add a WordFence firewall, and our Australian WordPress hosting includes firewall protection and round-the-clock monitoring.
Our maintenance packages then keep WordPress, the theme and plugins updated and the site monitored, so it doesn't drift out of date between projects.
You're on the Sunshine Coast. Will you understand an industrial business in Gladstone?
You know your industry; our job is to ask the questions that turn it into clear pages. We work from Wurtulla, south of Gladstone, over the phone, email and screen-shared meetings, and one contact stays with your project throughout.
You can see the range of businesses we have built for in our portfolio, and book a call at a time that suits your roster on our contact page.
