Web design Coolum Beach for businesses under Mount Coolum.
DIGITALON designs custom WordPress sites for Coolum Beach accommodation, cafes, surf and outdoor operators, and the trades that keep holiday homes running. The team works from Wurtulla, further down the same coast, and agrees a fixed price with you before anything starts.
Your customers change with the calendar.
Coolum Beach sits on the David Low Way between Yaroomba and Peregian Beach, with Mount Coolum rising just south of town. Much of its trade faces the sand: holiday units and homes, cafes and restaurants, surf schools and board hire. Behind them are the cleaners, trades and managers who keep holiday properties ready between guests.
Who is searching changes through the year. In the school holidays, many searches come from visitors on phones, some just off a flight into the airport at Marcoola, deciding where to eat, stay or hire a board. In between, residents and holiday-home owners do more of the looking, including owners in Brisbane or interstate hiring a cleaner or tradie they may never meet.
Coolum, plus the thing they need.
A visitor types ‘breakfast Coolum’ or ‘surf lessons Coolum’. An owner in Brisbane types the job and the suburb the house is in.
- Coolum or Coolum Beach, plus the service
- Today's hours, not last season's
- Directions from the David Low Way
SITE
Earn trust from a distance.
An owner who cannot drop in, or a visitor who has never been here, decides from what the pages show them.
- Photos of the rooms, the food or the finished job
- The suburbs you cover, from Marcoola to Peregian
- A quote or booking request that works at phone width
What every DIGITALON website includes.
The same Australian team designs, builds, hosts and supports the site, so nothing in the list below is quoted again later.
Designed for your business, not a theme
Every page is designed from scratch in WordPress around what you sell and who buys it. You are not picking a template and hoping your content fits it.
Built to be found
Clean structure, fast pages, sensible headings and metadata come as standard. Keyword research and on-page SEO are included from Standard, and AI search optimisation at Premium.
Readable on the phone first
Most local searches happen on a phone. Layouts, menus, forms and buttons are checked at desktop, tablet and phone widths before the site goes live.
Yours to edit
You get the admin login, a site you can update yourself and 1:1 training at Premium. If you would rather not touch it, our maintenance packages cover the updates for you.
Hosted and supported in Australia
Australian cloud hosting, SSL, nightly backups and a support team you can reach by phone or email, with no offshore help desk in between.
Three packages for Coolum Beach businesses.
All three are one-off prices. A cafe or surf school may only need five pages; a letting business with several properties, or a trade covering several suburbs, usually needs ten or twenty.

Our desks are at Wurtulla, south of Mooloolaba on the same coast and in the same Sunshine Coast Council area as Coolum Beach. There is no Coolum office. A project runs on calls, email and remote meetings, each draft is shown on a shared screen, and the person you brief is the one you deal with until launch.
For a Coolum business, remote work fits the way the week runs. A review can happen between changeovers or after the morning lessons, and nobody has to leave a job site to see a draft. Most of what we need arrives by email anyway: menus, rate cards, photos and the suburbs you cover.
Same coast, one named contactYou already work this way
If your customers include holiday-home owners you rarely meet, you know the routine of calls, email and photos. A website project with us runs on the same footing.
Nothing moves without your sign-off
Each stage waits for your approval before the next one starts, so a flat-out week never leaves you catching up on changes you did not see.
Seasonal details you can change
Hours, menus, rates and specials sit on pages you edit in WordPress, so the site does not keep showing last season's details.
Training for whoever updates it
Premium includes 1:1 website training, so the manager or staff member who keeps menus and rates current learns how before launch.
We deliver. You celebrate.
A website build runs on a short, predictable path. Most sites take one to three weeks to a first version, then move at the pace of your feedback.
Talk it through
We ask what the business does, who you want to reach and what the website has to achieve.
Agree the plan
You get a fixed price, a page map and a content outline, with placeholders where you need them.
Design and build
We design the pages, build them in WordPress and check them at every screen size.
Review and launch
Three rounds of revisions on structure and content, then launch, training and support.
Built by the team that would build yours.
These are websites our team designed and built. They are examples of completed work, not a promise of the same result for every business.

Coolum Beach web design questions.
What holiday-town businesses ask us about prices, timing, photos, menus, search and support.
Ask us about your website ↗We look after holiday homes around Coolum for owners who live elsewhere. Which package fits?
Standard, for most. At $3,990 it gives you ten pages, room for each service and the areas you cover, plus keyword research and on-page SEO, an image gallery with categories for job photos and a testimonials slider for owners' feedback.
Essentials ($2,990, five pages) suits a single service in one area. Premium ($4,990, twenty pages) suits a bigger operation with a long list of services, or one that wants to publish guides and updates in a blog it runs.
Is the $2,990 starting price GST-inclusive?
Yes. The $2,990 you see is the $2,990 you pay, GST included, and the same goes for every price on this page; the tax invoice simply shows how much of it is GST.
Full inclusions are listed on website design pricing. If a monthly fee sits better with your cash flow through the quieter months, look at the Small Business Monthly Packs.
Our Coolum surf shop stocks many sizes and brands. Can an online store cope with that?
Yes. WooCommerce handles sizes, colours and other variations, and a large range simply means more setup, which we confirm in the written quote before building.
The six-page Basic store ($4,990) takes card and PayPal and charges flat-rate shipping. The ten-page Standard store ($5,990) brings SEO, customer accounts and product filters, so shoppers can narrow the rack by size or brand. The twenty-page Premium store ($7,990) brings live product search, AI search optimisation, and Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay at checkout. See eCommerce pricing.
Guests book our units well ahead of the holidays. When should a new site go live?
Before your booking window opens, not just before the holidays. Design and build to a first version usually take one to three weeks, then come three rounds of revisions at your pace, so starting a couple of months before people book leaves time to review properly.
If the site will take enquiries or link to your booking system, allow a little extra time to test that before guests rely on it.
Our best photos are of the beach, not the business. Will they do?
Only partly. Keep a couple for atmosphere, but guests and customers decide on what they will actually get: the room, the plate, the board or the finished job. The content outline lists the photos for each page, and royalty-free stock images stand in until yours arrive.
Can visitors read our menu on a phone without opening a PDF?
Yes. We build the menu as a normal web page that reads well at phone width, so someone walking along the David Low Way can scroll it, and search engines can read the dishes as text.
You can change dishes and prices yourself in WordPress when the menu shifts with the season.
Do people search for Coolum or Coolum Beach, and does the site need both?
Both, so the pages use each name where it reads naturally, along with the neighbouring places your customers mention, such as Yaroomba, Point Arkwright or Peregian Beach.
Keyword research and on-page SEO, included from Standard, decide which terms each page targets. AI search optimisation (GEO), part of Premium, structures the answers on your pages so AI tools such as ChatGPT can read them when a visitor asks where to eat or stay in Coolum; what Google or those tools choose to show is up to them, so we promise neither. Ongoing work is covered by our SEO packages.
We've taken over an established Coolum business. What happens to the website that came with it?
First we check what actually transferred with the sale: the domain name, the hosting account and the admin logins, because the new site needs the domain to go live.
Then we keep the pages and web addresses that already bring enquiries, set up redirects for any that move, and rebuild the rest under your name. The rebuild is priced like any new site, on one of the three packages; see website redesign.
We have no time for website jobs in the holidays. Can you handle updates for us?
Yes. Our maintenance packages cover updates, backups, security and support, so the site is looked after while you are busy with guests.
If you also want us to host it, the Sunshine Coast website hosting plans keep the site on Australian servers with the same team answering the phone.
We spend most of the day on the beach. Can the project run around that?
Yes. Our team at Wurtulla, further down the coast, runs projects by phone, email and remote meetings, so calls can wait until you are off the sand.
For design reviews, a laptop or tablet in a remote meeting shows the pages better than a phone, and you can book that time yourself from our contact page.
