Web design Airlie Beach for the Whitsundays.
DIGITALON designs and builds WordPress websites for Airlie Beach businesses, from reef, island and sailing operators at the marinas to shops, trades and services in Cannonvale and Proserpine. The designers and developers behind them are at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast, and each price is agreed in writing before work begins.
Booked before they arrive.
Airlie Beach is the mainland gateway to the Whitsunday Islands. Boats leave the Port of Airlie, the Coral Sea Marina and Shute Harbour for Whitehaven Beach and the outer reef, and many of the people on board chose their trip from home, comparing operators on a laptop or phone before flying into Proserpine or Hamilton Island.
That makes the website part of what you sell. A sailing, reef or island business has to show where each trip goes, what is included, where it leaves from and what to bring in stinger season, while the trades, cafes and services in Cannonvale and Proserpine need pages that residents can use quickly between jobs and school runs.
Which trip, and from where?
Visitors compare trips by island, beach and price, then check the departure point and the inclusions before they commit to a date.
- Whitehaven, the reef or a sail
- What is included and what to bring
- Where and when the boat leaves
SITE
Sell the day before the click.
Clear trip pages, honest seasonal notes and a booking button that works on a phone turn a search from overseas or interstate into a seat on board.
- A page for each trip or charter
- Photo pages that stay quick
- Booking links that open in one tap
What every DIGITALON website includes.
The same Australian team designs, builds, hosts and supports the site, so nothing in the list below is quoted again later.
Designed for your business, not a theme
Every page is designed from scratch in WordPress around what you sell and who buys it. You are not picking a template and hoping your content fits it.
Built to be found
Clean structure, fast pages, sensible headings and metadata come as standard. Keyword research and on-page SEO are included from Standard, and AI search optimisation at Premium.
Readable on the phone first
Most local searches happen on a phone. Layouts, menus, forms and buttons are checked at desktop, tablet and phone widths before the site goes live.
Yours to edit
You get the admin login, a site you can update yourself and 1:1 training at Premium. If you would rather not touch it, our maintenance packages cover the updates for you.
Hosted and supported in Australia
Australian cloud hosting, SSL, nightly backups and a support team you can reach by phone or email, with no offshore help desk in between.
Whitsunday websites, priced up front.
One boat with one trip can tell its story in five pages; an operator running reef, island and sunset trips usually needs ten; a fleet with several itineraries and a blog of island guides fits twenty.

View details ↗Working with Airlie Beach from Wurtulla.
We are at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast, a long way south of the Whitsundays, with no office in Airlie Beach. Your project runs by phone, email and online meetings with drafts shared on screen, and the person who plans the pages with you stays your contact until the site is live.
That suits a business whose day is set by departures, tides and weather. Calls go in the diary for when the boats are back or the wet season slows things down, and you add what only an operator knows, such as which trips sell out first, what guests ask at check-in and what changes when the wind is up, before any page is approved.
Planned around departures and the weatherTrip pages you can edit
Departure times, inclusions and seasonal notes can be changed from your own admin login when a schedule or a boat changes.
Your booking system, linked
Book-now buttons open the booking pages you already use, so availability and payments stay where they are today.
Photo galleries that stay quick
From Standard, gallery images are compressed and sized for phones, so a page full of reef and island photos still loads on resort wi-fi.
Directions for first-timers
What to bring, where to park and how to find the departure point are written for a guest who has never been to Airlie Beach.
We deliver. You celebrate.
A website build runs on a short, predictable path. Most sites take one to three weeks to a first version, then move at the pace of your feedback.
Talk it through
We ask what the business does, who you want to reach and what the website has to achieve.
Agree the plan
You get a fixed price, a page map and a content outline, with placeholders where you need them.
Design and build
We design the pages, build them in WordPress and check them at every screen size.
Review and launch
Three rounds of revisions on structure and content, then launch, training and support.
A selection of sites we have built.
These are websites our team designed and built. They are examples of completed work, not a promise of the same result for every business.

What attracted us to DIGITALON is their promise to make sites that work. They absolutely delivered on this.
Airlie Beach web design questions.
Prices, GST, bookings, seasons and support, for tour operators and businesses across the Whitsundays.
Ask us about your website ↗We run a reef day trip, a sunset sail and private charters. How many pages do we need?
Ten pages, our Standard package at $3,990, covers it: home, about and contact, one page per trip plus one for charters, then departures, what to bring and booking terms. Standard includes keyword research and on-page SEO, so each trip page uses the words travellers really search.
An operator with one trip can start on Essentials, five pages for $2,990, and a fleet with many itineraries or a blog of island guides may need Premium, twenty pages for $4,990. Compare all three on website design pricing.
Most of our guests are from overseas. Does that change the GST on our website build?
No. The website is a service to your Australian business, so the GST is already inside our price whoever your customers are. Each package, at $2,990, $3,990 or $4,990, is priced in Australian dollars, and your tax invoice lists the GST separately.
Hosting and maintenance are optional monthly extras, and anything outside a package is quoted in writing before work starts.
Can guests buy our branded shirts, hats and prints online after they fly home?
Yes, with an online store. Basic, at $4,990, is a six-page WooCommerce shop with card and PayPal payments and flat-rate postage, which suits a small range of gear. Standard, at $5,990, adds product categories and filters, customer accounts, discount coupons and advanced shipping rules for different delivery zones.
Premium, at $7,990, lets guests pay with Afterpay, Apple Pay or Google Pay, tracks each order and shows postage before checkout. Trips stay in your booking system; hosting, your domain name, payment gateway fees and upkeep are billed apart from the store build. See eCommerce pricing.
The wet season is our quiet time. Is that a good time to rebuild the site?
Often, yes. Expect a first version one to two weeks after kick-off on average, longer for sites with more functions, and the three revision rounds that follow move at the pace of your feedback, which is easier to give when the boats are quieter.
Starting in the quieter months means the new site is settled and tested before the busy dry season and school holidays bring the next wave of bookings.
What do we need to send you about each trip?
Less than you might think. Our content outline spells out what every page needs, such as where the trip goes, how long it runs, what is included, any age or fitness limits, what to bring and your cancellation terms, and placeholders hold the gaps while you gather the rest.
Your crew's own descriptions are often the most useful material, and we shape them into pages; nothing goes live until you have signed off each page in draft.
Plenty of guests decide on the day, phone in hand on the main street. What does the site need for them?
A fast mobile page that answers what they would ask at a booking desk: which trips you run, what each costs if you publish prices, where it departs and how to book. Buttons to call, book and open directions sit near the top of the screen.
Every layout is checked on phone, tablet and desktop before launch. The booking button opens your existing booking pages; connecting live availability more deeply is scoped and quoted first.
Will travellers searching for Whitehaven Beach tours find our site?
The site can be built to compete for those searches. Keyword research, included from Standard, shows how travellers phrase them, by beach, island, reef or activity, and on-page SEO puts those words into your trip page titles, headings and descriptions.
On Premium, AI search optimisation (GEO) also lays your trips out in a structured way that AI assistants can read when people plan a holiday. Neither Google nor any AI tool takes direction from us, so we promise no ranking or mention; if you want someone working on search month to month, see our SEO packages.
We bought an existing tour business along with its website. Can you rebuild it under our name?
Yes. A website redesign can keep the trip pages and web addresses that already bring bookings, redirect any that change and carry across content that still works, while the design, story and contact details move to the new owners. Booking tools are reviewed before they are reconnected.
Make sure the domain and hosting accounts were handed over with the sale, because we need that access to move the site. Whether it fits within a website package or needs its own quote depends on how much changes, and you know which before work starts.
If a cyclone knocks out power in Airlie Beach, does our website go down too?
No, because the website does not run from your office. Our Australian WordPress hosting keeps it on servers in Australia with round-the-clock monitoring, SSL and backups, so it stays online while local power or internet is out, and notices can be updated from any device with a connection.
Our maintenance packages look after WordPress updates, security and small changes, so the site stays current through the busy months as well.
Can we plan the whole website with you from the Whitsundays?
Yes. One person on our Wurtulla team runs your project from the first call to launch, by phone, email and online meeting, and drafts are shared on screen so you can show us exactly what to change. We have no Airlie Beach office, so meetings are booked around your departures.
Pick a time on our contact page, and look through our portfolio first if you would like to see finished sites.
