Motorcycle gear store website design for helmets, jackets and boots.
Riders buying gear check each brand's size chart, the standard a helmet is certified to and what happens if it doesn't fit. DIGITALON designs and builds WooCommerce stores for Australian motorcycle gear retailers from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast, with size charts, ratings and exchange terms planned before the build.
Riders can't try gear on first.
Online, a rider chooses a helmet or jacket without a fitting. They compare sizes against the brand's own chart, look for the standard a helmet is certified to and any published ratings, check whether the colourway they want comes in their size, and want to know before paying what happens if it doesn't fit.
We build gear stores around those checks. Each product uses its brand's size chart, certification and ratings appear exactly as the brand or rating programme publishes them, and every colourway and size is a variation with its own stock. Kits group a helmet, jacket and gloves on one page. Your fit and exchange terms, including any rule on worn helmets, show before checkout in your words, and we give no safety or consumer-law advice.
The chart, the rating, the policy.
The product page has to answer what a fitting would.
- Size from the brand's own chart
- Certification and published ratings
- What happens if it doesn't fit

Keep every option accurate.
Brands, graphics and sizes multiply fast, and each needs its own data.

What a motorcycle gear store website needs.
Gear is sized by brand, rated by independent programmes and exchanged under your own rules, so we settle each with you before the design starts.
Size charts from each brand
Sizes differ between brands, so a rider needs the chart of the brand they're buying, not a generic one. Each chart goes in once, on that brand's page, and is linked from all its products; men's, women's and youth ranges can each carry their own.
Fit and exchange terms you set
Your policy might not take back a helmet once it has been worn, or might exchange unworn gear for another size. Whatever it says appears on each product and before checkout in your own words, with how to try gear on at home; we give no consumer-law advice.
Ratings and standards, exactly as published
A helmet can show the standard its maker certifies it to, such as ECE 22.06 or AS/NZS 1698, and any CRASH star ratings; jackets, pants and gloves can show their CE rating and any MotoCAP ratings. Each appears exactly as the brand or programme publishes it, filterable from Standard, and we give no safety advice.
Graphics and colourways, each with stock
A helmet range multiplies quickly: several graphics, each in five or six sizes. Every combination is a variation with its own stock count and photo, so one graphic selling out in a medium leaves the rest on sale, and low-stock alerts warn your team before a popular size runs out.
Kits and the extras that suit them
A kit page can group a helmet, jacket and gloves so riders see them together, with each size chosen on its own product page; picking every size in one step, or a lower kit price, is quoted. Linked products suggest the visors, anti-fog inserts and spare liners that suit each helmet.
Bulky boxes, freight and pickup
Helmet and boot boxes are light but bulky, so shipping classes and Standard's advanced shipping rules charge them by size and weight rather than one flat rate. Click and collect lets local riders try gear on at the counter when they pick it up, and exchange postage follows your policy.

- Your CRM integrated
Hosting, your domain, your payment provider’s transaction fees and ongoing maintenance are separate. The page counts are website pages, not a product limit: catalogue size, product imports, migrations and custom integrations are agreed and quoted before work starts. Compare every inclusion and the optional features on eCommerce pricing, or see website design packages if you do not need a shop.
Your store, your hosting, your login.
Every DIGITALON store is a custom WordPress and WooCommerce build. WooCommerce is free and open source, takes no commission on your sales and runs on hosting you choose, with the administrator login yours from day one.
The shop and the pages that bring shoppers to it live in one WordPress site, edited the same way. You can run it yourself, or hand the updates to the team that built it.
No platform commission
Your payment provider charges its transaction fee. WooCommerce itself takes no percentage of your sales and has no monthly platform fee.
Hosting you choose
Keep your own host, or use our managed WordPress hosting, sized for the catalogue and the traffic you expect.
Care after launch
Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates, backups, security checks and support.
One Australian team
The people who scope, design and build the store are the people who answer your questions, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.
From brief to first order.
A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, and we tell you how much before we begin.
Scope and price
We agree the pages, catalogue, features and search work, then confirm the package, any extras and the payment stages in writing.
Design
You see the design and sign it off before the build starts, while changing a layout is still quick.
Build and test
Products, payments, shipping and tax are set up in WooCommerce, then tested with real orders on a phone and a desktop.
Launch and hand over
We go live and hand over your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store.

I was very impressed as they were very responsive and helpful as I was a newbie. Good communication with Sabrina who took the time to explain all the process and gave some tips.
Motorcycle gear store website questions.
Brand sizing, worn helmets, ratings, colourways, kits, exchanges, price and timing.
Ask us about your store ↗What does a gear store for helmets, jackets and boots cost to build?
Basic is $4,990 (6 pages), Standard $5,990 (10 pages) and Premium $7,990 (20 pages), as one-off build prices in Australian dollars with GST included. A size guide on every product, kits with their own price, a full photo gallery for each colourway, product imports and moving an existing store are quoted before work starts.
Every inclusion is on our eCommerce pricing page.
Which package suits a gear shop stocking several brands?
Standard usually does: product filters for size, brand, colour and rating, customer accounts with order history, advanced shipping rules for bulky helmet and boot boxes, and keyword research with on-page SEO across 10 website pages. Premium adds live search, product compare, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay for bigger purchases, and order tracking; Basic suits a small range of one or two brands.
How do riders choose a size when every brand sizes differently?
From the brand's own chart. Every brand can have its own page in WooCommerce's built-in brands, holding its chart for helmets by head circumference, jackets and pants by chest, waist and leg, and gloves by hand size, linked from its products. A size guide that opens on the product page is quoted, and fit notes come from you or the brand.
Where does our policy on helmets that have been worn appear?
On each helmet's product page, on your returns page and at checkout, in your own policy wording. If a helmet can't come back once worn, the page can also explain how to try it on at home first, again in your words, and WooCommerce can ask buyers to accept your terms before paying. We give no consumer-law advice.
Can product pages show CRASH and MotoCAP ratings?
Yes, exactly as each programme publishes them. A helmet's CRASH stars for safety and comfort, MotoCAP ratings for a jacket, pants or gloves, and the standard or CE level the brand certifies each product to can sit in the product details and, from Standard, become filters. Nothing is reworded or rounded up, and we give no safety advice.
Can riders see the exact graphic and colourway before ordering?
Yes. Each graphic or colourway in each size is a variation with its own photo, so choosing a design switches the picture and shows whether that size is in stock. One photo per variation is standard WooCommerce; a full gallery for every colourway, or an alert when a sold-out size returns, is quoted.
Can we sell a helmet, jacket and gloves as a kit?
Yes, with one limit in standard WooCommerce. A grouped product shows the helmet, jacket and gloves together, but each sized piece is chosen on its own page, because grouped products can't pick sizes inline. Choosing every size and adding the kit in one go, or a lower kit price, is quoted; linked products can suggest visors and anti-fog inserts.
How are size exchanges handled once the store is live?
By your team, from the order. Refunds go back through the payment provider from the order screen, a replacement size can be sent as a new order, and a returns portal for customers is a quoted extension. You hold the administrator login and own the store, staff can use WooCommerce's Shop manager role, and our maintenance packages look after updates, backups and security.
When could our gear store open, and what holds it up?
The build itself usually takes two to three weeks for a basic store. The rest depends on your product data: each helmet and garment needs its colourway photos, its brand's chart and any certification or ratings before it can sell, so we agree which brands go live first. Kits with their own prices, imports and moving an existing store add time.
Will riders shopping for motorcycle gear online find us?
They can, but no one can promise a position. Standard and Premium include keyword and category research and on-page work, so helmets, jackets, brands and models use the words riders search with, and Premium adds AI search optimisation (GEO). Ratings and certification stay as published rather than reworded for search, and ongoing SEO is a separate service.
Bring your brands, sizes and policy.
Tell us which brands and categories you stock, how many graphics and sizes a typical helmet comes in, whether you show CRASH or MotoCAP ratings, and your fit and exchange terms. DIGITALON's in-house team at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast will match the store to a package, list anything quoted and confirm the price in writing.
