Kitchen supply store website design for cooks and cafes.

A kitchen supply store sells to home cooks choosing one good pan and to cafes ordering glassware by the carton. DIGITALON, at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast, builds WooCommerce stores for Australian kitchenware retailers that serve both buyers well.

Two kinds of kitchen, one store.

Home cooks and hospitality buyers want different things from the same range. A home cook wants to know whether a pan works on induction, whether it goes in the dishwasher and how it compares with the next one up. A cafe or restaurant buyer wants the right quantity, often by the carton, a consistent product they can reorder, and delivery that suits a working kitchen.

A kitchen supply website serves both by putting the specifications in the product data, selling sets and open stock side by side, showing carton quantities clearly and packing glass and ceramics so they arrive whole. Commercial equipment that needs installing can be listed for enquiry. Delivery and installation of appliances are covered in our appliance store guide.

What a kitchen supply website needs.

Six areas to plan before a kitchenware range goes online.

Specifications cooks filter by

Induction suitability, dishwasher and oven safety, material, capacity and diameter belong in attributes, so filters, included from Standard, can show every induction-ready frypan of a given size. Suppliers usually provide these details; they need checking and standardising before import.

Sets beside open stock

Cookware and dinnerware sell both as boxed sets and as single pieces. The boxed set can be its own product, while grouped products show the pieces of the range together, each with its own price and stock, so a customer can buy the set or replace one plate.

Carton quantities and catering lines

Hospitality buyers order glassware, cutlery and disposables by the carton. Sell cartons as their own variation or product, show how many units each holds, and keep catering lines easy to find in their own category. Quantity pricing for trade accounts is quoted.

Accounts for cafes and restaurants

Customer accounts with order history, included from Standard, let a cafe reorder its usual glassware or takeaway supplies quickly, and WooCommerce's order again button repeats a past order in one step. A company name field and bank transfer can be offered at checkout.

Fragile goods, packed and priced

Glass, ceramics and stoneware need protective packing and often their own shipping class. Price the packing into the shipping rule, and state how breakages in transit are handled, using your own returns policy wording.

Commercial equipment by enquiry

Commercial ovens, refrigeration and coffee machines usually need site checks, freight and professional installation. List them with full specifications and an enquiry button rather than a checkout, so your team can quote delivery and installation for each kitchen.

Kitchen supply packages for home and trade.

Every package handles sets, open stock and card and PayPal payments. Standard adds filters, customer accounts and advanced shipping rules; Premium adds live search and product compare.

Hosting, your domain, your payment provider’s transaction fees and ongoing maintenance are separate. The page counts are website pages, not a product limit: catalogue size, product imports, migrations and custom integrations are agreed and quoted before work starts. Compare every inclusion and the optional features on eCommerce pricing, or see website design packages if you do not need a shop.

Your store, your hosting, your login.

Every DIGITALON store is a custom WordPress and WooCommerce build. WooCommerce is free and open source, takes no commission on your sales and runs on hosting you choose, with the administrator login yours from day one.

The shop and the pages that bring shoppers to it live in one WordPress site, edited the same way. You can run it yourself, or hand the updates to the team that built it.

01

No platform commission

Your payment provider charges its transaction fee. WooCommerce itself takes no percentage of your sales and has no monthly platform fee.

02

Hosting you choose

Keep your own host, or use our managed WordPress hosting, sized for the catalogue and the traffic you expect.

03

Care after launch

Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates, backups, security checks and support.

04

One Australian team

The people who scope, design and build the store are the people who answer your questions, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.

From brief to first order.

A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, and we tell you how much before we begin.

Step 01

Scope and price

We agree the pages, catalogue, features and search work, then confirm the package, any extras and the payment stages in writing.

Step 02

Design

You see the design and sign it off before the build starts, while changing a layout is still quick.

Step 03

Build and test

Products, payments, shipping and tax are set up in WooCommerce, then tested with real orders on a phone and a desktop.

Step 04

Launch and hand over

We go live and hand over your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store.

Online stores we have built.

These are stores and online sales sites our team designed and built. They show completed work, not a promise of the same result for every business.

I was very impressed as they were very responsive and helpful as I was a newbie. Good communication with Sabrina who took the time to explain all the process and gave some tips.

Questions about kitchen supply store website design.

Specifications, sets, cartons, hospitality buyers, fragile goods, equipment, packages, price, GST, timing and care after launch.

Ask us about your store
Is a kitchen supply store a Basic, Standard or Premium build?

Usually Standard, at $5,990, because filters for material, induction and capacity and customer accounts for repeat hospitality buyers are where kitchenware stores need the most help. Basic, at $4,990, suits a small range; Premium, at $7,990, adds live search and product compare for large ranges. Every inclusion is on our eCommerce pricing page.

Do your build prices, and our shop prices, include GST?

Our build prices do: $4,990, $5,990 and $7,990 include GST, and the tax invoice shows the amount. Your shop can show prices including GST, as consumers expect, with WooCommerce's price suffix making it clear to business buyers too; your accountant confirms the tax settings. Hosting, your domain and payment provider fees are separate.

Can shoppers filter cookware for induction cooktops?

Yes, when induction suitability is stored as an attribute. Filters come with Standard, so a shopper can narrow frypans to induction-ready pieces of a given size and material. Supplier files often describe this inconsistently, so we standardise it before import as part of the scoped catalogue work.

Can we sell a dinner set and its single pieces separately?

Yes. The boxed set can be its own product, and grouped products can show the single pieces of the range together, each with its own price and stock. Customers can buy the full set or replace a broken plate, and your stock stays accurate for both.

Can hospitality buyers order by the carton?

Yes. Cartons can be sold as their own variation or product, with the units per carton on the page, and catering lines kept in their own category. Different prices for trade accounts, or quantity breaks, need a quoted extension; bank transfer at checkout is built into WooCommerce.

How do we ship glassware without breakages?

With proper packing and the right shipping class. Fragile items can carry their own class so the shipping charge covers protective packing, or be set to local delivery or pickup only. Every package has flat-rate and free shipping; Standard adds rules by weight, location and cart value, and live carrier rates are a quoted add-on.

How should commercial ovens and coffee machines be sold online?

Usually by enquiry. They need site checks, freight and installation by professionals, so the product page carries full specifications and an enquiry form instead of a checkout. Your team then quotes delivery and installation; the website never promises what the installer must confirm.

How long before our kitchenware store is live?

A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. A large range with supplier data to clean, or carton and trade options, adds time, which we estimate before work starts. Opening with your best-selling categories first gets the store trading sooner.

Will cooks find our range through search?

Clear names, specifications and category pages help search engines and AI tools understand the range, but no one can promise a position, traffic or an AI citation. Standard includes keyword and category research with on-page SEO, Premium adds GEO, and ongoing SEO is a separate service.

Can our staff manage new ranges and specials themselves?

Yes. You own the store and hold the administrator login, and Standard and Premium include one-to-one training, so your team can add ranges, schedule sale prices and update stock. Every package takes cards and PayPal. Our maintenance packages can look after updates, backups and security.
