Great eCommerce sites keep getting better.

A great store is not finished on launch day: it is measured, questioned and improved as real orders arrive. DIGITALON, at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast, builds custom WooCommerce stores for businesses across Australia with the reports, reviews and care that keep them improving.

Launch day is the starting line.

Look closely at great eCommerce sites and the polish is rarely what sets them apart. What does is that someone keeps working on them: a product that sells out is restocked or clearly marked, a question customers keep asking is answered on the page, and a step that slows buyers down at checkout is removed. A store that launches well and is then left alone slowly drifts out of date.

This page is about that second part: what to measure once a store is live, where the useful signals come from, and how to turn them into small, regular improvements. It applies to a new build and to a store you already run. For the traits to check before launch, see what the best eCommerce sites have in common.

Six habits of stores that keep improving.

What to measure or check, where the information comes from on a WooCommerce store, and what to do with it.

Read the sales reports every month

WooCommerce's own reports show revenue, orders, best-selling products and categories, coupon use and stock. A monthly look shows which products carry the store, which never sell and which run out too often, so the range, the photos and the home page can follow what customers actually buy.

Learn from what shoppers search for

The words people type into your store's search box are the plainest evidence of what they expect to find. Google Analytics, included from Standard, can record those searches. A search with no results points to a missing product, a missing name or wording your customers use and your catalogue does not.

Ask every buyer for a review

WooCommerce product reviews can carry a verified owner label, so shoppers know the reviewer bought the item. Reviews answer questions your copy missed and show you what to fix. Read the low ratings first: they usually point to a description, a size chart or a delivery promise.

Keep stock, prices and dates true

Nothing costs trust faster than a sold-out item that still takes orders or a delivery date that slips. Stock tracking with low-stock alerts is built into WooCommerce, sale prices can start and end on schedule, and the delivery times on the site should match what your courier really achieves.

Answer the questions customers keep asking

Every email or call that asks the same thing marks a gap on a page. Put the answer where the question comes up: sizing on the product page, delivery times in the cart, returns in the footer. Customers decide sooner, and your team spends less time answering the same email.

Keep the engine maintained

Updates to WordPress, WooCommerce and plugins, backups and security checks keep a store working and quick, and a test order after each round of updates proves the checkout still works. Our maintenance packages cover this, with eCommerce site updates in the Advanced and Premium levels.

Packages built to be measured and improved.

Every package records orders, stock and sales in WooCommerce's own reports. Standard adds Google Analytics, customer accounts and product filters; Premium adds live product search, product compare and order tracking.

Hosting, your domain, your payment provider’s transaction fees and ongoing maintenance are separate. The page counts are website pages, not a product limit: catalogue size, product imports, migrations and custom integrations are agreed and quoted before work starts. Compare every inclusion and the optional features on eCommerce pricing, or see website design packages if you do not need a shop.

Your store, your hosting, your login.

Every DIGITALON store is a custom WordPress and WooCommerce build. WooCommerce is free and open source, takes no commission on your sales and runs on hosting you choose, with the administrator login yours from day one.

The shop and the pages that bring shoppers to it live in one WordPress site, edited the same way. You can run it yourself, or hand the updates to the team that built it.

01

No platform commission

Your payment provider charges its transaction fee. WooCommerce itself takes no percentage of your sales and has no monthly platform fee.

02

Hosting you choose

Keep your own host, or use our managed WordPress hosting, sized for the catalogue and the traffic you expect.

03

Care after launch

Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates, backups, security checks and support.

04

One Australian team

The people who scope, design and build the store are the people who answer your questions, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.

From brief to first order.

A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, and we tell you how much before we begin.

Step 01

Scope and price

We agree the pages, catalogue, features and search work, then confirm the package, any extras and the payment stages in writing.

Step 02

Design

You see the design and sign it off before the build starts, while changing a layout is still quick.

Step 03

Build and test

Products, payments, shipping and tax are set up in WooCommerce, then tested with real orders on a phone and a desktop.

Step 04

Launch and hand over

We go live and hand over your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store.

Online stores we have built.

These are stores and online sales sites our team designed and built. They show completed work, not a promise of the same result for every business.

I was very impressed as they were very responsive and helpful as I was a newbie. Good communication with Sabrina who took the time to explain all the process and gave some tips.

Questions about great eCommerce sites.

Measuring a live store, reviews, search data, existing stores, packages, delivery promises, cost, GST and care after launch.

Ask us about your store
How much is a store that is built to keep improving?

A one-off build price of $4,990 for Basic, $5,990 for Standard or $7,990 for Premium. Each includes the design, the WooCommerce build, plugin licences and security set-up; Standard adds Google Analytics and SEO, and Premium adds GEO, live product search and order tracking. Every inclusion is listed on our eCommerce pricing page, and anything outside a package is quoted first.

Is GST already inside the $4,990 to $7,990 build prices?

Yes. All three are one-off build prices in Australian dollars with GST included, and your tax invoice shows the GST amount. Hosting, your domain, payment provider fees, maintenance and anything quoted outside the package are separate, and your quote lists them separately.

How soon will we know whether the store is working well?

After a few months of orders rather than a few days. A basic store usually takes two to three weeks to build, and from launch WooCommerce's reports record every order. Look at what sold, what people searched for and what customers asked about; a trend over several months tells you more than one week skewed by a sale or a public holiday.

Can customers leave reviews on our products?

Yes. Product reviews and star ratings are built into WooCommerce, and you can show a verified owner label or accept reviews only from people who bought the product. You approve and reply to reviews from the dashboard. We never add reviews that buyers did not write: their value is that they are real.

Will Google Analytics show what shoppers search for in the store?

Yes, once it is set up. Google Analytics is included from Standard and can record the words shoppers type into the store's search box. Searches that return nothing are the most useful: they reveal products you do not stock, names you have not used and wording your customers prefer.

Can you look at our live store and tell us what to fix first?

Yes. A store someone else built starts with an assessment of the site, its reports and its search data; we then list the fixes in order of value, from product names and photos to checkout settings, and quote each before starting.

A move from Shopify, Wix or Squarespace to WooCommerce is assessed and quoted separately, never assumed.

Which package gives us the most to measure and adjust?

Standard, for most stores. It adds Google Analytics, customer accounts with order history, product filters and SEO groundwork, which give you more to learn from and more to tune. Basic suits a small range still finding its customers, and Premium suits a store ready for live search, product compare, order tracking and GEO. Features can also be added after launch.

Should delivery times on the site be cautious or optimistic?

Cautious. A date that slips costs more trust than a slightly longer estimate that is met. Every package has flat-rate or free shipping and takes cards through Stripe and PayPal; Standard adds rules by weight, location and cart value, and Premium adds a shipping cost calculator, order tracking, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay.

Does improving the store also improve its place on Google?

It can help, but no one can promise a Google position, traffic or an AI citation. Faster pages, clearer product information and fewer dead-end searches make a store easier for search engines and AI tools to read. Standard includes on-page SEO, Premium adds GEO, and ongoing SEO is a separate service through our SEO packages.

Who keeps the store running while we work on improvements?

You can, because you own the store and hold the administrator login, with one-to-one training included from Standard. Or our team can: maintenance packages cover updates, nightly backups and monitoring, and managed WordPress hosting keeps the store on Australian servers. Both are separate from the build price.

Plan a store that keeps improving.

Tell us what you sell and how you handle orders today. Our in-house team at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast will recommend a package, show you where the reports that matter live, and confirm the price before work starts. Design reviews, test orders and training all happen online.
