Bribie Island website design for locals and visitors.
DIGITALON designs and builds WordPress websites for businesses on Bribie Island and over the bridge at Sandstone Point, from cafés and accommodation to the trades and clinics locals rely on. We plan and build every site at Wurtulla, just up the coast, for a price you see in writing before anything begins.
The bridge shapes who finds you.
Bribie Island sits at the northern end of Moreton Bay, joined to the mainland by the bridge from Sandstone Point across Pumicestone Passage. Most island businesses serve two groups at once: people who live in Bongaree, Bellara, Banksia Beach and Woorim all year, and visitors who come over for the surf beach, a day on the water or a weekend away.
The two groups search in different ways. A resident wants a plumber, physio or hairdresser who works on the island and can fit them in this week. A visitor wants opening hours, directions and whether the weather has changed the plan. A good Bribie website answers both quickly and says plainly which side of the bridge you work on.
Open now, and on which side?
Locals and visitors both check whether you are open, where you are and whether you come to them before they cross the bridge or pick up the phone.
- Hours that change with the season
- The island, the mainland or both
- A number to call straight from the search
SITE
Answer before they set out.
Clear pages for what you do, where you go and when you are open turn a quick search on a phone into a booking, a call or a visit.
- A page for each service or trip
- Your area named township by township
- Enquiries and bookings at any hour
What every DIGITALON website includes.
The same Australian team designs, builds, hosts and supports the site, so nothing in the list below is quoted again later.
Designed for your business, not a theme
Every page is designed from scratch in WordPress around what you sell and who buys it. You are not picking a template and hoping your content fits it.
Built to be found
Clean structure, fast pages, sensible headings and metadata come as standard. Keyword research and on-page SEO are included from Standard, and AI search optimisation at Premium.
Readable on the phone first
Most local searches happen on a phone. Layouts, menus, forms and buttons are checked at desktop, tablet and phone widths before the site goes live.
Yours to edit
You get the admin login, a site you can update yourself and 1:1 training at Premium. If you would rather not touch it, our maintenance packages cover the updates for you.
Hosted and supported in Australia
Australian cloud hosting, SSL, nightly backups and a support team you can reach by phone or email, with no offshore help desk in between.
Three fixed prices for Bribie Island businesses.
Five pages suit a single-service operator, ten leave room for separate island and mainland service areas, and twenty suit a larger accommodation, retail or health business that keeps adding news and specials.

Wurtulla, where our team works, sits on the Sunshine Coast north of the island's tip, across the mouth of Pumicestone Passage. By road the trip runs inland around the passage, and we don't have an office on Bribie, so the work happens in phone calls, emails and online meetings, guided by one person from your first call to launch day.
That rhythm suits island businesses, whose busiest weeks are often the ones with the least spare time. Draft reviews happen on a shared screen at an hour that suits you, from the shop, the jetty or home. You add what only a local knows, such as which beaches, boat ramps or townships matter to your customers, and nothing is published until you have seen and approved it in draft.
One contact, island or mainlandSay which side you work
If you also cover Sandstone Point, Ningi or Toorbul, the site says so plainly, so customers on either side of the bridge know you will come.
Seasons you can update
Holiday hours, weather calls and off-season specials can be changed from your own admin login whenever plans change, without waiting on us.
Questions answered once
Parking, pets, bookings and what to bring go on the page, so the phone rings with people ready to book rather than asking the same things again.
One person, start to finish
The same contact at Wurtulla takes your calls, runs the drafts and handles launch, so nothing gets lost between people.
We deliver. You celebrate.
A website build runs on a short, predictable path. Most sites take one to three weeks to a first version, then move at the pace of your feedback.
Talk it through
We ask what the business does, who you want to reach and what the website has to achieve.
Agree the plan
You get a fixed price, a page map and a content outline, with placeholders where you need them.
Design and build
We design the pages, build them in WordPress and check them at every screen size.
Review and launch
Three rounds of revisions on structure and content, then launch, training and support.
Recent websites from the same team.
These are websites our team designed and built. They are examples of completed work, not a promise of the same result for every business.

Bribie Island website questions.
Prices, GST, seasons, bookings and support, for businesses on the island and the mainland side of the bridge.
Ask us about your website ↗We run fishing trips and boat hire on Bribie. How many pages do we need?
Usually about ten, which is Standard at $3,990: home, about and contact, plus a page for each trip or hire option, one for what to bring and one for weather and cancellations. Standard also includes keyword research and on-page SEO, aimed at the words visitors type before they book.
A single-service operator can start on Essentials, five pages for $2,990. A larger business that wants to post trip reports or news can choose Premium, twenty pages for $4,990, with a blog you update yourself. All three are compared on website design pricing.
Does GST come on top of the $2,990, $3,990 and $4,990 prices?
No, it is already included. Every price is in Australian dollars and includes GST, and the GST is itemised on your tax invoice, so the figure on the package is the figure you pay for the build.
Hosting and maintenance are optional monthly plans. If one monthly payment for the website, hosting and upkeep suits you better, see the Small Business Monthly Packs.
Can a shop on the island sell online and post orders to customers on the mainland?
Yes. A WooCommerce store lets mainland customers order from your island shop: the Basic package, $4,990 for six pages, covers the shop, cart and checkout with card and PayPal payments and flat-rate postage. At $5,990, Standard adds advanced shipping rules for different delivery areas, customer accounts, product filters and SEO; at $7,990, Premium adds Afterpay, Apple Pay and Google Pay, a shipping cost calculator and order tracking.
Your hosting, domain, payment processing fees and upkeep are paid separately from the store build. Compare the three packages on eCommerce pricing.
Can the new site be ready before the school holidays bring visitors over the bridge?
Yes, if we start early enough. A first version usually arrives one to two weeks into the project, a little later for sites with extra features, and then you get three rounds of revisions to structure and content, as quickly as you can reply.
For an island business, the safe plan is to start several weeks before the holidays, so revisions and launch never compete with your busiest days.
We know the island inside out but hate writing. Do we have to write every page?
Not before we start, and not from a blank page. We send a content outline that lists what each page should cover, and placeholders hold the gaps while the design comes together, so you can answer in dot points and fill in details between customers.
Your local knowledge is the part only you can supply: the townships you cover, your hours through the year and what customers ask you most. A few phone photos of your premises, boat or work beat stock beach pictures every time.
Most customers find us on a phone once they are already on the island. What does the site do for them?
It puts the useful things first. On a phone, the call button, opening hours and directions sit near the top, menus and price lists are readable without zooming, and enquiry or booking forms are short enough to finish with one thumb. We test each layout on phones, tablets and desktops before the site goes live.
For a café in Bongaree or accommodation at Woorim, that can be the difference between a visitor walking in and walking past.
Should our pages say Bribie, Bribie Island or township names like Bongaree and Woorim?
Bribie Island first, then the townships you actually serve. People type all of these, and keyword research, included from Standard, shows which names matter for your services; on-page SEO then puts them in your headings, page titles and descriptions.
Premium adds AI search optimisation (GEO), which structures your services, townships and common answers so AI assistants can understand them. What appears in any search result is their decision, not ours, so there is no promised position; ongoing search work is available through our SEO packages.
We moved from Bongaree to Banksia Beach. Can a redesign update everything without losing the searches our old site gets?
Yes. A website redesign keeps the web addresses that already rank, redirects the ones that change and carries across the content that still works, then updates your address, map and contact details on every page.
Your Google Business Profile and directory listings sit outside the website, so change the address there as well and customers will find the new location wherever they look.
Who keeps the site updated and online when we are flat out over summer?
We can. On our Australian WordPress hosting the site runs on cloud servers with SSL and nightly backups, and our maintenance packages cover the software updates, security and small changes for you.
You still have your own admin login, so a weather closure or a new special can go up in a moment, and a call reaches the team that built the site.
Your team is on the Sunshine Coast. How do we work together from Bribie?
Through phone calls, email and online meetings where we share the screen, with one contact on our Wurtulla team throughout. Wurtulla is up the coast from the island, across the mouth of Pumicestone Passage, but we have no office on Bribie and don't pretend otherwise.
You choose the times. Book a call or an online meeting on our contact page, and drafts are reviewed together on screen so you can point at exactly what you want changed.

Tell us about your island business.
A few lines is enough: what you do, whether your customers live on the island or come over the bridge, and the weeks you can't spare for meetings. We'll match that to a package, put its fixed price with GST in writing and sketch the page plan with you by phone or online meeting.
