Web design Mount Isa for the North West.
DIGITALON designs and builds WordPress websites for Mount Isa businesses, from mining contractors and station suppliers to the shops, trades and services that keep the city running. The work is done at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast, across the state from Mount Isa, and every price is agreed in writing first.
A long way to the next town.
Mount Isa grew around its copper, lead, zinc and silver mines, and the smelter stacks still stand over the city. It is the regional centre for North West Queensland: the Barkly Highway runs west to the Northern Territory border, the railway runs east to Townsville, and stations, mine sites and Gulf towns rely on the city for supplies, services and staff.
That means many customers never walk through your door. A station manager orders parts by phone, a mining company checks a contractor's licences and safety record before a shutdown, and a family weighing a move for work looks you up from the other side of Australia. A Mount Isa website has to answer all of them without a visit.
Can they supply us out here?
Buyers on stations and mine sites look for proof that a Mount Isa business can deliver, service and stand behind its work across the region.
- What you supply or service
- How far you travel or freight
- Licences, safety and contacts

What every DIGITALON website includes.
The same Australian team designs, builds, hosts and supports the site, so nothing in the list below is quoted again later.
Designed for your business, not a theme
Every page is designed from scratch in WordPress around what you sell and who buys it. You are not picking a template and hoping your content fits it.
Built to be found
Clean structure, fast pages, sensible headings and metadata come as standard. Keyword research and on-page SEO are included from Standard, and AI search optimisation at Premium.
Readable on the phone first
Most local searches happen on a phone. Layouts, menus, forms and buttons are checked at desktop, tablet and phone widths before the site goes live.
Yours to edit
You get the admin login, a site you can update yourself and 1:1 training at Premium. If you would rather not touch it, our maintenance packages cover the updates for you.
Hosted and supported in Australia
Australian cloud hosting, SSL, nightly backups and a support team you can reach by phone or email, with no offshore help desk in between.
Mount Isa websites at known prices.
Five pages cover a single trade or shop; ten give a contractor or supplier room for each service, a coverage page and a careers page; twenty fit a larger operation with branches, many product ranges or regular news.

Wurtulla is on the Sunshine Coast, at the other side of Queensland from Mount Isa, and we have no office in the North West. We do share Queensland time, and the whole project is handled through calls, email and video meetings, and you keep the same contact on our team from the first conversation to launch.
It works well for a business whose people are often at a mine site, on a station run or on the road to the Gulf. Reviews are booked for when you are back in town, drafts go up on a screen you can point at, and you tell us what only a local business knows, like which stations you supply, what mining companies ask for and how far you will travel.
Planned around time out of townFreight and call-out terms
Delivery days, freight to the Gulf and call-out arrangements are written down once, so customers stop ringing to ask.
Times for both sides of the border
Customers in the Northern Territory run half an hour behind, so hours and booking times can say Queensland time.
Careers that sell the move
A careers page can show the work, the rosters and life in Mount Isa for people deciding whether to relocate.
Licences and safety up front
Licences, accreditations and safety systems can sit on their own page for buyers who check before they call.
We deliver. You celebrate.
A website build runs on a short, predictable path. Most sites take one to three weeks to a first version, then move at the pace of your feedback.
Talk it through
We ask what the business does, who you want to reach and what the website has to achieve.
Agree the plan
You get a fixed price, a page map and a content outline, with placeholders where you need them.
Design and build
We design the pages, build them in WordPress and check them at every screen size.
Review and launch
Three rounds of revisions on structure and content, then launch, training and support.

Mount Isa web design questions.
Prices, GST, freight, recruitment and support, for businesses in Mount Isa and across the North West.
Ask us about your website ↗We supply stations across the Gulf and the Barkly. What pages does our website need?
A ten-page Standard site, $3,990, is the usual answer: home, about and contact, a page per product group, then freight and delivery days, trade accounts and the stations and towns you supply. Standard also brings keyword research and on-page SEO, which tune those pages to the words station buyers use.
A one-person trade can start on Essentials, five pages for $2,990; a supplier with several branches or a large catalogue may need Premium, twenty pages for $4,990. See what each includes on website design pricing.
How do payments work, and is GST included in the price?
Every price includes GST, and you don't pay it all up front. A deposit when the contract is signed starts the project, the balance is invoiced as the work progresses, and the fixed amounts are $2,990, $3,990 or $4,990 in Australian dollars with the GST itemised on each tax invoice.
Extra pages or links to other software are priced separately, in writing, before any of that work begins.
Station customers want to order parts online. Can the store work out freight to remote properties?
Yes, with the right package. Premium, at $7,990, adds a shipping cost calculator so customers see the freight before paying, takes Afterpay, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and tracks every order. Standard, at $5,990, sets advanced shipping rules by zone, for example town, the Gulf and the Territory, with customer accounts and product filters.
Basic, at $4,990, is a six-page store with one flat shipping rate. Live quotes from a particular carrier are scoped first; hosting, the domain name, card fees and upkeep are budgeted apart from the build. See eCommerce pricing.
We need more staff before a big shutdown. How quickly can a site with a careers page be ready?
Allow a few weeks. The first version arrives one to two weeks after the project starts on average, longer for a site with more features, and three revision rounds follow as fast as you can give feedback.
A careers page is an ordinary page in any package, so it can be one of the first you review. A simple form handles expressions of interest; a full applicant system is scoped and quoted first.
We have years of job photos from mine sites. Can we use them on the website?
Often, yes, but check first: many mine sites restrict photography, so confirm the operator is happy for the images to be published, especially where people, plant or equipment can be identified. Our content outline then lists what each page needs, and placeholders hold any gaps.
Royalty-free stock images are included in every package for the pages where your own photos can't be used.
Customers in the Northern Territory ring us from their phones. What should the mobile site show them?
Your hours with the time zone stated, because the Territory is half an hour behind Queensland all year, plus a call button, ordering steps and delivery days near the top of the screen.
Each layout is tested at phone, tablet and desktop sizes before launch, so it reads properly whether the customer is in a ute or at a desk.
People type Mt Isa as often as Mount Isa. Does the website need both?
It helps to use both where they read naturally. Keyword research, included from Standard, shows which form your customers type for your service, and on-page SEO puts the town's name in titles, headings and descriptions, with the short form in the copy where it sits comfortably.
Premium adds AI search optimisation (GEO) so AI assistants can follow what you do and where. Google and AI tools decide what they show, so no ranking is promised; our SEO packages handle ongoing search work.
Our website still lists services we stopped years ago. Can a redesign fix that without losing our search traffic?
Yes. A website redesign removes or merges the pages for work you no longer do, keeps the addresses that still bring visitors and redirects the rest to the closest current page, so old links land somewhere useful.
Content that still works comes across. The cost depends on how much changes, and many smaller redesigns sit within a website package.
Where is the website hosted, and does that matter for customers out here?
With our Australian WordPress hosting it sits on servers in Australia, with SSL, backups and 24/7 monitoring. If you already have a WordPress site, the move is part of our Standard, Advanced and Premium hosting plans, after we have reviewed the site.
For updates and security, our maintenance packages keep WordPress current while you are out at a site or on the road.
Mount Isa is a long way from the coast. How do we work with you?
By phone, email and online meeting, with one person on our Wurtulla team looking after your project from the first call to launch. We have no Mount Isa office, so drafts are shared on screen and calls are booked for when you are in town.
Start on our contact page, or browse finished work in our portfolio first.
