Website design for drop shipping that earns trust.

When products ship from a supplier, the website has to do the reassuring a shop counter would: honest delivery times, clear policies and a real business behind the order. DIGITALON designs and builds WooCommerce dropshipping stores on the Sunshine Coast.

Shoppers can't see your supplier.

A dropshipping store sells products it never handles, often from suppliers that other stores use too. Shoppers can't see that, but they notice its effects: copied photos, vague delivery times, a policy that doesn't match what arrives. A well-designed dropshipping website earns trust by being specific about what you sell, who you are and when the order will arrive.

We design and build the storefront on WordPress and WooCommerce: a focused range, product pages made your own, delivery estimates shown before checkout, policies that match each supplier's terms and contact details that show a real business. How orders and stock pass between the store and suppliers is covered in our WooCommerce dropshipping guide.

Designing a dropshipping store shoppers trust.

Six design decisions that matter more when you don't hold the stock yourself.

A focused range with a reason

A store that sells everything looks like every other dropshipping store. Choose a niche you understand, group it into clear categories and say on the home page why you chose these products; a reason to buy here is the strongest design element you have.

Product pages made your own

Supplier descriptions and photos often appear on many stores at once. Rewrite descriptions in your own words, add the details buyers ask about and, where you can, photograph samples yourself. Check each supplier's terms before using their images.

Delivery times before checkout

Show an honest delivery estimate on each product page and in the cart, by supplier and region, especially for overseas stock. Shoppers told the real wait can plan around it; surprises turn into complaints and refund requests.

Policies that match each supplier

Shipping, returns and refund policies have to work with what each supplier actually does: where returns go, who pays the postage and how long refunds take. Customers deal with your store, not the supplier, so agree these terms before listing a product.

Contact details that prove a business

Show your business name, ABN, an email address and a phone number or contact form in the footer and on the contact page. Real contact details, and prompt replies, are what separate a business from a listing.

Tracking customers can follow

Parcels from suppliers can take a while, so the order email and the customer's account should show the tracking number as soon as the supplier sends it. Customer accounts with order history come with Standard, and order tracking with Premium.

Hosting, your domain, your payment provider’s transaction fees and ongoing maintenance are separate. The page counts are website pages, not a product limit: catalogue size, product imports, migrations and custom integrations are agreed and quoted before work starts. Compare every inclusion and the optional features on eCommerce pricing, or see website design packages if you do not need a shop.

Your store, your hosting, your login.

Every DIGITALON store is a custom WordPress and WooCommerce build. WooCommerce is free and open source, takes no commission on your sales and runs on hosting you choose, with the administrator login yours from day one.

The shop and the pages that bring shoppers to it live in one WordPress site, edited the same way. You can run it yourself, or hand the updates to the team that built it.

01

No platform commission

Your payment provider charges its transaction fee. WooCommerce itself takes no percentage of your sales and has no monthly platform fee.

02

Hosting you choose

Keep your own host, or use our managed WordPress hosting, sized for the catalogue and the traffic you expect.

03

Care after launch

Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates, backups, security checks and support.

04

One Australian team

The people who scope, design and build the store are the people who answer your questions, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.

From brief to first order.

A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, and we tell you how much before we begin.

Step 01

Scope and price

We agree the pages, catalogue, features and search work, then confirm the package, any extras and the payment stages in writing.

Step 02

Design

You see the design and sign it off before the build starts, while changing a layout is still quick.

Step 03

Build and test

Products, payments, shipping and tax are set up in WooCommerce, then tested with real orders on a phone and a desktop.

Step 04

Launch and hand over

We go live and hand over your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store.

Online stores we have built.

These are stores and online sales sites our team designed and built. They show completed work, not a promise of the same result for every business.

I was very impressed as they were very responsive and helpful as I was a newbie. Good communication with Sabrina who took the time to explain all the process and gave some tips.

Questions about designing a dropshipping store.

Packages, GST, supplier descriptions, delivery times, returns, niches, tracking, timing, search and support.

Ask us about your store
Is Standard the right starting point for dropshipping?

Standard, for most: product filters and categories, customer accounts with order history, SEO and shipping rules by location suit a store selling many supplier products to many places. Basic suits a handful of products at flat rates; Premium adds order tracking, live search and Afterpay. See eCommerce pricing.

What does GST cover in the build, and on imported goods?

Our build prices include it: Basic is $4,990, Standard $5,990 and Premium $7,990, each paid once. Supplier imports, order connections, hosting and payment provider fees sit outside the build price. How GST applies to goods your suppliers send from overseas is a question for your accountant.

Should we rewrite the supplier's product descriptions?

Yes, where you can. The same supplier text often appears on many stores, so rewritten descriptions with the details buyers actually ask about help both shoppers and search. Use supplier photos only within their terms, and add your own photos of samples where possible.

How should a dropshipping store show delivery times?

On each product page, at checkout and in the order email, as a range you can meet, by supplier and destination. Shipping methods can carry the estimate in their name at checkout, product pages can state it in the description, and a calculated delivery date is a quoted extension.

Do we need our own returns address?

It helps. Customers return goods to you, not to your supplier, so you need either your own address for returns or an agreed supplier address that your policy names. Agree who pays the return postage and who inspects the item before you list any supplier's products.

Should a dropshipping store focus on one niche?

Usually. A focused niche is easier to describe, photograph, get found for and trust than a store selling anything a supplier stocks. It also lets the home page and categories explain why these products, which gives shoppers a reason to buy from you rather than the next store with the same items.

Can customers track orders that ship from overseas?

Yes, once the supplier sends the tracking number. It can be added to the order and emailed to the customer, by your team or through a quoted supplier connection, and Premium adds order tracking in the store. Customer accounts with order history come with Standard.

What adds time to a dropshipping storefront build?

Supplier data, mostly. A basic store usually takes about two to three weeks once products and policies are ready; importing a large supplier catalogue or connecting supplier order systems adds time, which we scope and schedule when we quote.

Can a dropshipping store rank if other stores sell the same products?

It can, if its pages say something the others don't: original descriptions, useful specifications, honest delivery details and categories built around what buyers search for. Keyword and category research comes with Standard and GEO with Premium; no one can promise a position against stores selling the same items.

Who maintains the store while we manage suppliers?

Our maintenance packages keep WordPress, WooCommerce and the extensions updated, backed up and monitored, with eCommerce site updates in the Advanced and Premium levels. You keep the administrator login, so product and price changes can be yours, and Standard and Premium include one-to-one training.

Design a dropshipping store that lasts.

Tell us your niche, your suppliers and where they ship from. Our team at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast will plan a storefront that shows honest delivery times and policies, recommend a package and give you a written quote before work starts.
