Beautiful eCommerce websites are designed before they're built.

A store looks considered when the design is agreed before any code is written. DIGITALON designs custom WooCommerce stores from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast in a clear sequence: your brand and products in, a signed-off design, then the build.

The process shows in the result.

Beautiful eCommerce websites are rarely the result of a lucky template. They come from a process that settles the look before the build: what the brand should feel like, which products lead, how photos will be shot and what each page must contain. Skipping those steps is why so many stores look fine in a demo and awkward once real products and words go in.

Our sequence is simple. You tell us about the business and send what you have, from logo and colours to product photos. We design the key pages around your real content, you review them and sign off, and only then do we build. Changing a layout at the design stage costs an email; changing it after the build costs a rebuild.

How a beautiful store gets made.

Five stages, each finished before the next begins, so the store that launches is the one you approved.

Brief and brand inputs

We agree what you sell, who buys it and how the store should feel, and collect what you already have: logo, colours, fonts, photography and examples of stores you admire.

Design with your real content

The home page, a category page and a product page are designed with your actual products and words, so the design is judged on reality rather than on placeholder images.

Review and sign-off

You review the designs and ask for changes before anything is built. Settling the look at this stage is quick; changing it after the build is slow and costly.

Build and fit the content

The approved design is built on WordPress and WooCommerce, products and pages are loaded as agreed in the quote, and every template is checked at phone, tablet and desktop widths.

Test, launch and hand over

Real test orders through each payment method, then launch and your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training, so you can keep the store looking as designed.

Three packages, one design process.

Every package follows the same design-first sequence; the number of pages and the shopping features change.

Hosting, your domain, your payment provider’s transaction fees and ongoing maintenance are separate. The page counts are website pages, not a product limit: catalogue size, product imports, migrations and custom integrations are agreed and quoted before work starts. Compare every inclusion and the optional features on eCommerce pricing, or see website design packages if you do not need a shop.

Your store, your hosting, your login.

Every DIGITALON store is a custom WordPress and WooCommerce build. WooCommerce is free and open source, takes no commission on your sales and runs on hosting you choose, with the administrator login yours from day one.

The shop and the pages that bring shoppers to it live in one WordPress site, edited the same way. You can run it yourself, or hand the updates to the team that built it.

01

No platform commission

Your payment provider charges its transaction fee. WooCommerce itself takes no percentage of your sales and has no monthly platform fee.

02

Hosting you choose

Keep your own host, or use our managed WordPress hosting, sized for the catalogue and the traffic you expect.

03

Care after launch

Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates, backups, security checks and support.

04

One Australian team

The people who scope, design and build the store are the people who answer your questions, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.

From brief to first order.

A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, and we tell you how much before we begin.

Step 01

Scope and price

We agree the pages, catalogue, features and search work, then confirm the package, any extras and the payment stages in writing.

Step 02

Design

You see the design and sign it off before the build starts, while changing a layout is still quick.

Step 03

Build and test

Products, payments, shipping and tax are set up in WooCommerce, then tested with real orders on a phone and a desktop.

Step 04

Launch and hand over

We go live and hand over your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store.

Online stores we have built.

These are stores and online sales sites our team designed and built. They show completed work, not a promise of the same result for every business.

I was very impressed as they were very responsive and helpful as I was a newbie. Good communication with Sabrina who took the time to explain all the process and gave some tips.

Questions about the design process.

What you supply, sign-off, changes, ownership, price and timing.

Ask us about your store
How is the price of a designed store set?

By package and scope. A custom WooCommerce store costs $4,990 for Basic (6 pages), $5,990 for Standard (10 pages) or $7,990 for Premium (20 pages) as a one-off build price, and anything outside the package, such as product imports or custom features, is quoted before design starts.

Every inclusion is on our eCommerce pricing page.

Is GST part of the quoted store price?

Yes. The build prices are in Australian dollars with GST included, and your invoice shows the GST. Hosting, your domain and payment provider fees are separate from the build.

What do we need to provide for the design?

Your logo and brand colours if you have them, your best product photos, the product details you want shown and a few stores whose feel you like. Who supplies or imports the full product data is agreed before we quote.

Do we see the design before it is built?

Yes. The key pages are designed with your real products and words, you review them and sign off, and the build follows the approved design.

What if we want changes after seeing the design?

Ask for them at the design stage, when changes are quick. Once you sign off, the build follows the approved design; layout changes after the build can still be made, but they mean rework and are quoted first.

Is the finished design ours to edit?

Yes. You own the finished store and receive the administrator login, so products, prices, photos and words are yours to change. If you would rather hand the updates over, our maintenance packages and managed WordPress hosting cover them.

Can we start small and add features later?

Yes. Start with the package your launch needs; a mega menu, live search, product compare and other features can be added later as quoted work. Standard adds keyword and category research with on-page SEO, and Premium adds AI search optimisation (GEO), Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay.

How long does the design-first process take?

A basic store usually takes two to three weeks from the start of work. How quickly you review the design and supply content sets much of the pace, and we agree the schedule with the scope and price.

Can you design around products we have not photographed yet?

Yes. We design with your best available photos and clearly marked placeholders, and give you photo guidelines so the new images match the design when they arrive.

Let's start with your brand.

Send us your logo, a few product photos and the stores whose feel you like. DIGITALON's in-house team at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast will plan the design stages with you, recommend the package and confirm a fixed price before anything is designed, wherever you are in Australia.
