eCommerce website development price, fixed before work starts.
A development price can be a fixed figure, an hourly rate or an estimate that moves. DIGITALON's eCommerce packages are fixed one-off prices, GST included, with anything extra quoted before it starts; here is how to read any price, ours included.
Two quotes are rarely alike.
One developer quotes a single figure; another quotes an hourly rate and an estimate of hours; a third quotes less but leaves product loading, shipping set-up or licences out. Comparing totals alone tells you little. What matters is what each price covers, what is excluded, whether the figure can move, and whether GST is inside it or added on top.
Our three packages are fixed: $4,990, $5,990 or $7,990, with the design, the WooCommerce build, testing, launch and every licence the package needs. The price does not grow with the hours spent. Work outside the package is quoted before it starts, so for the agreed scope the figure you accept is the figure you pay.

A low figure can leave the hard parts out.

How to read an eCommerce development price.
Use these six checks on any quote, including ours. They turn two different totals into a fair comparison.
Fixed price or hourly rate
A fixed price puts the risk of overruns on the developer; an hourly rate or an estimate puts it on you, so ask what happens if the hours run over. Our packages are fixed, whatever the hours.
What the price covers
A quote should list the pages, the features, the payment and shipping set-up, testing, launch and any training. Ours covers the design, the WooCommerce build, testing and launch, with the features listed for each package and every licence they need.
What is excluded, in writing
Product loading, imports from another platform, integrations, copywriting, photography, hosting and maintenance are common exclusions. Make sure each one is either in the quote or listed as extra, so nothing appears later as a surprise.
Licences and their renewals
Paid extensions often carry yearly licences. Check whether a quote includes them and who renews them; every licence our packages need is in the price, and an optional extension added later is quoted with its own licence cost.
GST: inside or on top
A price shown without GST looks smaller than the same price with it. Compare the final amounts: our $4,990, $5,990 and $7,990 already include GST, and a supplier not registered for GST will not charge it at all.
Whether the price can move
Ask what changes the price after you sign: extra rounds of changes, new features or a larger catalogue. With us the package price is fixed for its scope, and anything new is quoted before it is added.
Fixed prices, GST included.
Each package is one fixed, one-off price for the scope listed. Anything outside it is quoted before work starts, not billed by the hour afterwards.

- Your CRM integrated
Hosting, your domain, your payment provider’s transaction fees and ongoing maintenance are separate. The page counts are website pages, not a product limit: catalogue size, product imports, migrations and custom integrations are agreed and quoted before work starts. Compare every inclusion and the optional features on eCommerce pricing, or see website design packages if you do not need a shop.
Your store, your hosting, your login.
Every DIGITALON store is a custom WordPress and WooCommerce build. WooCommerce is free and open source, takes no commission on your sales and runs on hosting you choose, with the administrator login yours from day one.
The shop and the pages that bring shoppers to it live in one WordPress site, edited the same way. You can run it yourself, or hand the updates to the team that built it.
No platform commission
Your payment provider charges its transaction fee. WooCommerce itself takes no percentage of your sales and has no monthly platform fee.
Hosting you choose
Keep your own host, or use our managed WordPress hosting, sized for the catalogue and the traffic you expect.
Care after launch
Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates, backups, security checks and support.
One Australian team
The people who scope, design and build the store are the people who answer your questions, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.
From brief to first order.
A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, and we tell you how much before we begin.
Scope and price
We agree the pages, catalogue, features and search work, then confirm the package, any extras and the payment stages in writing.
Design
You see the design and sign it off before the build starts, while changing a layout is still quick.
Build and test
Products, payments, shipping and tax are set up in WooCommerce, then tested with real orders on a phone and a desktop.
Launch and hand over
We go live and hand over your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store.

I was very impressed as they were very responsive and helpful as I was a newbie. Good communication with Sabrina who took the time to explain all the process and gave some tips.
eCommerce website development price questions.
Fixed prices, GST, hourly work, extras, comparing quotes and timing.
Ask us about your store ↗Why are your development prices fixed rather than hourly?
Because a fixed figure is one you can plan around. Each package has a defined scope, so the risk of it taking longer sits with us: $4,990 for Basic, $5,990 for Standard and $7,990 for Premium. Work outside that scope is quoted before it starts.
See what each covers on eCommerce pricing.
Should we compare development prices with or without GST?
With it, using the final amount you will pay. Our package prices include GST; a quote shown without GST rises by a tenth when GST is added, and a supplier who is not registered for GST does not charge it.
What should a fixed development price include?
The pages, the features, the payment and shipping set-up, testing and launch, plus a list of what is excluded. Ours also includes the design and every licence the package needs, and Standard and Premium include one-to-one training.
Is there an hourly rate for work outside the packages?
Extras to a build, such as an import or an integration, are quoted as a price for the agreed scope before they start. Small fixes and changes after launch can go through our maintenance packages or on-demand support, priced on that page.
How do we compare two quotes like for like?
Put them side by side against one list: pages, features, payment and shipping set-up, product loading, testing, training, licences, hosting, GST and what happens if the scope changes. Wherever one quote is silent, ask; the gaps often explain the difference in price.
Why might another quote be much lower?
It may leave out work ours includes, such as the design, testing, licences or shipping set-up, use a bought template, quote hours that can grow, or exclude GST. It may also simply suit a smaller job, so ask what is excluded before choosing on price.
Can the package price change after we sign?
Not for the agreed scope: the package price stays as quoted. Anything new you ask for is quoted before it is added, so you always decide whether the price changes.
Which package gives our store the best value?
The one that covers what the store needs at launch without paying for features it will not use. Standard often suits a growing catalogue with filters, accounts and SEO; Premium suits stores that need more ways to pay, live search and AI search optimisation (GEO).
Does a fixed price come with a fixed timeline?
We agree the schedule with the price: a basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, which we tell you when we quote them, and the schedule also depends on how quickly content and feedback arrive.
Does the development price include hosting or ongoing SEO?
No. The package price is for the build; hosting, your domain, maintenance and ongoing SEO are separate running costs, and you choose who provides them. The SEO done during the build is included from Standard.
Let's put a fixed price on it.
Send us what your store needs. We will recommend a package, list what it includes and what would cost extra, and confirm the price in writing before work starts, so you can compare it fairly with any other quote, from our team at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.
