Create a shopping website from order to doorstep.

Behind every shopping website is a daily routine: new orders spotted, packed, labelled, tracked and, now and then, refunded. DIGITALON designs and builds WooCommerce stores with that routine set up and tested before launch, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast for businesses across Australia.

Every order has to reach a doorstep.

Creating a shopping website is one job; running it is a daily one. Each order has to be checked for payment, packed with the right items, labelled, sent and sometimes refunded, with an email to the customer at each step. When those steps are slow, or nobody is sure who owns them, orders wait and customers ring, so the routine is worth designing with the store.

We set up the order side of WooCommerce with you before launch: who receives new-order alerts, what goes on the invoice and packing slip from Standard, how labels and tracking numbers are made, how refunds and returns run, and what each member of staff can see. Then we test real orders through every payment method and, with Standard and Premium, train the people who will run them.

What running a shopping website involves.

These are the daily steps behind every order, and the part of WooCommerce that handles each one.

New orders, noticed straight away

WooCommerce emails a new-order alert to every address you choose, and the free WooCommerce app can show orders on a phone. Paid orders arrive marked Processing, bank transfer orders wait On hold until you confirm payment, and stock comes off as each order is placed.

Invoices and packing slips in a batch

With Standard, every order produces a PDF invoice and packing slip. The day's slips can print in one batch for packing, and the invoice can be attached to the customer's order email, showing the GST laid out as your accountant advises.

Labels and tracking numbers

A quoted Australia Post, Sendle or courier connection makes labels from each order and adds the tracking number to it. Without one, labels are made in the carrier's own system and the number goes to the customer as an order note. Premium adds order tracking in your store.

Completed, and the customer told

Marking an order Completed emails the customer in your store's colours, and every order keeps a history of notes and status changes, so whoever answers the phone can see what has happened without asking the person who packed it.

Refunds and returns from the order

Refunds start on the order screen, in full or item by item. Stripe and PayPal return the money automatically, refunded items can go back into stock and the customer is emailed. Returns follow your policy page; a portal where customers request returns and print labels is a quoted extension.

Who on the team does what

Each person gets their own login. WooCommerce's Shop manager role runs orders, products and store settings without touching plugins or themes, a role limited to orders alone is a quoted set-up, and Standard and Premium include one-to-one training for whoever runs the routine.

Hosting, your domain, your payment provider’s transaction fees and ongoing maintenance are separate. The page counts are website pages, not a product limit: catalogue size, product imports, migrations and custom integrations are agreed and quoted before work starts. Compare every inclusion and the optional features on eCommerce pricing, or see website design packages if you do not need a shop.

Your store, your hosting, your login.

Every DIGITALON store is a custom WordPress and WooCommerce build. WooCommerce is free and open source, takes no commission on your sales and runs on hosting you choose, with the administrator login yours from day one.

The shop and the pages that bring shoppers to it live in one WordPress site, edited the same way. You can run it yourself, or hand the updates to the team that built it.

01

No platform commission

Your payment provider charges its transaction fee. WooCommerce itself takes no percentage of your sales and has no monthly platform fee.

02

Hosting you choose

Keep your own host, or use our managed WordPress hosting, sized for the catalogue and the traffic you expect.

03

Care after launch

Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates, backups, security checks and support.

04

One Australian team

The people who scope, design and build the store are the people who answer your questions, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.

From brief to first order.

A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, and we tell you how much before we begin.

Step 01

Scope and price

We agree the pages, catalogue, features and search work, then confirm the package, any extras and the payment stages in writing.

Step 02

Design

You see the design and sign it off before the build starts, while changing a layout is still quick.

Step 03

Build and test

Products, payments, shipping and tax are set up in WooCommerce, then tested with real orders on a phone and a desktop.

Step 04

Launch and hand over

We go live and hand over your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store.

Online stores we have built.

These are stores and online sales sites our team designed and built. They show completed work, not a promise of the same result for every business.

I was very impressed as they were very responsive and helpful as I was a newbie. Good communication with Sabrina who took the time to explain all the process and gave some tips.

Shopping website questions.

New orders, packing, labels, tracking, refunds, returns, staff, price and timing.

Ask us about your store
What does it cost to create a shopping website?

A custom WooCommerce store costs $4,990 for Basic (6 pages), $5,990 for Standard (10 pages) or $7,990 for Premium (20 pages), as a one-off build price in Australian dollars with GST included. Carrier connections for labels, a returns extension, custom staff roles and accounting connections are quoted before work starts.

Every inclusion is on our eCommerce pricing page.

What happens when a new order comes in?

WooCommerce emails a new-order alert to the addresses you choose, and the order appears in your dashboard marked Processing once it is paid; the free WooCommerce app can show it on a phone as well. Stock comes off as the order is placed, and bank transfer orders wait On hold until you confirm the money has arrived.

Do invoices and packing slips print straight from the store?

Yes, with Standard and Premium. Each order produces a PDF invoice and packing slip that can be printed one at a time or in a batch for the day's orders, and the invoice can be attached to the customer's order email. It can show the GST in each order, laid out as your accountant advises.

Can we print shipping labels and send tracking numbers from the store?

With a quoted carrier connection, yes. An Australia Post, Sendle or courier connection creates labels from each order and adds the tracking number to it; without one, labels are made in the carrier's own system and the tracking number can be emailed to the customer as an order note. Premium includes order tracking, so customers can follow their parcel from your store.

How do refunds and returns work?

Refunds start from the order screen, in full or for single items. Stripe and PayPal send the money back automatically, refunded items can go back into stock, and the customer receives a refund email. Returns follow the policy page you provide, and a returns portal where customers request a return and print a label is a quoted extension.

Can staff process orders without access to everything else?

Yes. Each person gets their own login, and WooCommerce's Shop manager role covers orders, products and store settings without access to plugins, themes or other administrators. A role limited to orders alone is a quoted set-up, and every order keeps a history of notes and status changes, so the team can see what has been done.

Which package suits a business sending orders out every day?

Standard suits most: PDF invoices and packing slips, customer accounts where buyers check their own order history, advanced shipping rules, discount coupons, keyword research with on-page SEO and one-to-one training for whoever runs the orders. Premium adds order tracking, a shipping cost calculator, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay, CRM integration and AI search optimisation (GEO). Basic suits a small number of orders with simple shipping.

Will our shopping website be set up for Google and AI search?

Standard and Premium include keyword and category research and on-page work, and Premium adds AI search optimisation (GEO), but no one can promise a position or an AI citation. Ongoing work after launch is our SEO service, separate from the order routine this page covers.

How soon could we be taking and shipping orders?

A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Before launch we test real orders through every payment method and shipping rule, and Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store, so whoever packs the first orders has already been shown the routine.

What keeps checkout and order emails working after launch?

Regular updates and checks. You own the store and its administrator login, and WordPress, WooCommerce and the payment and shipping plugins need updating as new versions arrive. Our maintenance packages cover those updates, backups, security checks and support, with managed WordPress hosting sized for your order volume.

Let's plan your order routine.

Tell us how many orders you expect, who will pack them, how you ship today and how you handle refunds and returns. DIGITALON's in-house team at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast will match the store to a package, price any carrier connection or returns extension up front and confirm it in writing, wherever you trade in Australia.
