WooCommerce Australia: extensions that fit here.
WooCommerce runs worldwide, but many of its extensions and services are built for other countries' carriers, taxes and payment habits. DIGITALON builds WooCommerce stores on the Sunshine Coast and checks that each extension works for Australian orders before it goes in.
Not every extension knows Australia.
WooCommerce is used around the world, and so are its extensions. A shipping plugin may know overseas carriers but not Australia Post; a tax service may calculate US sales tax when an Australian store needs GST in the price; an address tool may not recognise Australian suburbs and postcodes. Each can look right in a demo and still fail on a real Australian order.
We build stores on WordPress and WooCommerce from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast, and check every extension and service before it is quoted: whether it settles in Australian dollars, knows Australian carriers and addresses, handles GST properly and is supported in Australian business hours. The store's own Australian settings are covered in our guide to building a store for Australian shoppers.

Checking WooCommerce tools for Australia.
Six checks we run on any extension or service before it goes into an Australian store.
Payments that settle in dollars
Stripe and PayPal take Australian cards and settle in Australian dollars, and every package connects them; Premium adds Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay. Other gateways are checked for Australian availability, their own fee terms and how refunds work before we suggest them.
Shipping tools for local carriers
Some shipping extensions are written for overseas carriers. For live rates or labels, we check that a tool supports Australia Post, Sendle or your courier, uses Australian postcodes and zones, and handles satchels and parcel sizes the way your carrier prices them.
Addresses Australians recognise
Checkout should accept Australian states, suburbs and four-digit postcodes without fuss. An address lookup tool, a quoted extension, must use Australian address data; one built for another country can suggest the wrong suburb or reject a valid address.
Tax tools that suit GST
WooCommerce handles GST with its own tax settings and prices entered including GST. Automated sales-tax services built for the US are usually unnecessary for a store selling within Australia; your accountant confirms how GST applies to what you sell.
Accounting connections used here
Many Australian businesses keep their books in Xero or MYOB. A connection that sends orders, GST and payments to your accounting software is checked for your edition and region, then scoped and quoted before work starts.
Support in Australian hours
An extension's support desk may sit in another time zone. We note who supports each extension, and our Sunshine Coast team is the first contact for the store itself, through our maintenance packages or quoted on-demand support.
WooCommerce packages for Australian stores.

- Your CRM integrated
Hosting, your domain, your payment provider’s transaction fees and ongoing maintenance are separate. The page counts are website pages, not a product limit: catalogue size, product imports, migrations and custom integrations are agreed and quoted before work starts. Compare every inclusion and the optional features on eCommerce pricing, or see website design packages if you do not need a shop.
Your store, your hosting, your login.
Every DIGITALON store is a custom WordPress and WooCommerce build. WooCommerce is free and open source, takes no commission on your sales and runs on hosting you choose, with the administrator login yours from day one.
The shop and the pages that bring shoppers to it live in one WordPress site, edited the same way. You can run it yourself, or hand the updates to the team that built it.
No platform commission
Your payment provider charges its transaction fee. WooCommerce itself takes no percentage of your sales and has no monthly platform fee.
Hosting you choose
Keep your own host, or use our managed WordPress hosting, sized for the catalogue and the traffic you expect.
Care after launch
Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates, backups, security checks and support.
One Australian team
The people who scope, design and build the store are the people who answer your questions, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.
From brief to first order.
A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, and we tell you how much before we begin.
Scope and price
We agree the pages, catalogue, features and search work, then confirm the package, any extras and the payment stages in writing.
Design
You see the design and sign it off before the build starts, while changing a layout is still quick.
Build and test
Products, payments, shipping and tax are set up in WooCommerce, then tested with real orders on a phone and a desktop.
Launch and hand over
We go live and hand over your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store.

Questions about WooCommerce in Australia.
Afterpay and packages, GST, other gateways, overseas shipping extensions, addresses, sales tax, support, timing, search and existing stores.
Ask us about your store ↗Do Australian stores need Premium for Afterpay?
For Afterpay, Apple Pay and Google Pay, yes: they come with Premium, while cards and PayPal come with every package. Standard adds filters, customer accounts, shipping rules by weight, location and cart value, and SEO; Basic suits a small range at flat rates. Compare them on eCommerce pricing.
Are build prices and extension costs stated in Australian dollars?
The build prices are: Basic is $4,990, Standard $5,990 and Premium $7,990, in Australian dollars with GST included, each paid once. Any extension sold in another currency is named in the quote, with its renewal, before we add it.
Can we use a payment gateway other than Stripe or PayPal?
Often, if it has a supported WooCommerce extension, is available to Australian businesses and settles in Australian dollars. We check the gateway's extension, refunds and fee terms, then quote the set-up; Stripe and PayPal come with every package and Afterpay with Premium.
Do shipping extensions built overseas work with Australia Post?
Not all of them. An extension has to support Australia Post's own services, Australian postcodes and parcel sizes to quote live rates or print labels correctly. We check that before suggesting one; flat-rate, free and Standard's rule-based shipping need no extension at all.
Will checkout accept every Australian address?
WooCommerce's checkout uses Australian states and postcodes, and shipping zones can match postcodes or postcode ranges. An address lookup that suggests addresses as customers type is a quoted extension, checked first to make sure it uses Australian address data.
Do we need a sales tax extension for GST?
Usually not. WooCommerce's own tax settings handle GST: prices entered including GST, a GST rate for Australia and a zero rate for GST-free items, shown with a price display suffix. US-style tax automation adds little for a store selling within Australia; your accountant confirms how GST applies to your range.
Who supports the extensions when their makers are overseas?
We are your first contact. We note each extension's maker and support channel at the build, take faults to them when needed, and keep extensions updated under our maintenance packages, with eCommerce site updates in the Advanced and Premium levels. The store and its administrator login stay yours.
Does checking extensions for Australia slow the build?
No, it happens while we scope. A basic store usually takes two to three weeks once content is ready; a shipping, address or accounting connection adds set-up and testing time, which the quote states before work starts.
Will an Australian WooCommerce store rank in Google Australia?
It can be found by Australian shoppers when its pages use the words they search with, in Australian English, and say where you ship. Keyword and category research with on-page SEO comes with Standard and GEO with Premium, ongoing work is in our SEO packages, and no one can promise positions.
Can a store built overseas be set up properly for Australia?
Yes. We review its tax, shipping, payment and address settings and its extensions against Australian orders, then quote the fixes, or a rebuild if the store is better replaced. A migration keeps products, customers and orders, with the old store trading until the new one is tested.
