Quotation for an eCommerce website, starting from one message.

Send a few facts about what you sell and how you sell it, and DIGITALON replies with a package recommendation and a written quotation. When a store is unusual, an assessment comes first, so the quotation reflects the real work.

From first message to written quote.

Asking for a quotation should not commit you to anything, and it should start with a simple message rather than a sales meeting. Most stores fit one of our three packages, so a short description of the products, the catalogue size, how customers pay and how orders are delivered is often enough to recommend a package and list anything that would be quoted on top.

Some stores need a closer look first: a move from another platform, a connection to accounting or stock software, a large or complicated catalogue, or a store another developer built. Then we assess before we quote. For what to gather beforehand, see planning the best eCommerce website; for comparing quotes, see eCommerce development prices.

How a request becomes a written quotation.

The steps after you ask, and the points where a store needs an assessment before a price.

A reply about your store

Send a message through the contact form or the enquiry button on any page. We reply about your store specifically, asking only for what is missing, such as the catalogue size, the payment methods or a link to your current site. Asking commits you to nothing.

A conversation online, if it helps

A short call or video meeting often helps to talk through the catalogue, shipping and anything unusual. It happens online, wherever you are in Australia, and its purpose is to understand the store, not to sell a bigger package.

Package fit, confirmed early

When the store fits Basic, Standard or Premium, the quotation names the package, any extras priced separately and the payment stages. The 6, 10 and 20 figures are website pages, not a product limit, so the size of the catalogue is discussed on its own.

An assessment when the store is unusual

A migration from Shopify, Wix or Squarespace, a connection to accounting or stock systems, a large import or a store built by another developer is assessed before quoting, because the price depends on the data and code that already exist.

A written quotation to accept

The quotation sets out the scope, the price including GST, the payment stages and the timing. Read it, ask questions and accept it when it matches what you need; work starts after acceptance and the deposit stage it names.

Changes priced before they are added

If you want something new once work has started, it is priced for your approval before it is added, so the total never moves without your agreement. A new feature can also wait until after launch and be quoted on its own.

The packages most quotations start from.

Most stores fit one of these one-off build prices. Your quotation names the package, then lists any extras, such as imports, migrations or integrations, priced separately.

Hosting, your domain, your payment provider’s transaction fees and ongoing maintenance are separate. The page counts are website pages, not a product limit: catalogue size, product imports, migrations and custom integrations are agreed and quoted before work starts. Compare every inclusion and the optional features on eCommerce pricing, or see website design packages if you do not need a shop.

Your store, your hosting, your login.

Every DIGITALON store is a custom WordPress and WooCommerce build. WooCommerce is free and open source, takes no commission on your sales and runs on hosting you choose, with the administrator login yours from day one.

The shop and the pages that bring shoppers to it live in one WordPress site, edited the same way. You can run it yourself, or hand the updates to the team that built it.

01

No platform commission

Your payment provider charges its transaction fee. WooCommerce itself takes no percentage of your sales and has no monthly platform fee.

02

Hosting you choose

Keep your own host, or use our managed WordPress hosting, sized for the catalogue and the traffic you expect.

03

Care after launch

Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates, backups, security checks and support.

04

One Australian team

The people who scope, design and build the store are the people who answer your questions, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.

From brief to first order.

A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, and we tell you how much before we begin.

Step 01

Scope and price

We agree the pages, catalogue, features and search work, then confirm the package, any extras and the payment stages in writing.

Step 02

Design

You see the design and sign it off before the build starts, while changing a layout is still quick.

Step 03

Build and test

Products, payments, shipping and tax are set up in WooCommerce, then tested with real orders on a phone and a desktop.

Step 04

Launch and hand over

We go live and hand over your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store.

Online stores we have built.

These are stores and online sales sites our team designed and built. They show completed work, not a promise of the same result for every business.

I was very impressed as they were very responsive and helpful as I was a newbie. Good communication with Sabrina who took the time to explain all the process and gave some tips.

Questions about an eCommerce website quotation.

Asking, timing, assessments, package size, changes, GST, payments and shipping, schedules and what sits outside the build.

Ask us about your store
How do we ask for an eCommerce website quotation?

Use the contact form or the enquiry button on any page and tell us what you sell, roughly how many products, how customers pay and how orders reach them. Add a link to your current website if you have one. We reply with questions or a package recommendation; asking commits you to nothing.

Does a quotation add GST on top of $4,990, $5,990 or $7,990?

No. Those package prices already include GST, and so do the prices of any extras in your quotation; your tax invoice shows the GST amount. Hosting, your domain, payment provider fees and maintenance are separate costs, listed apart from the build so the one-off price stays clear.

How long does it take to receive a quotation?

It depends on the store rather than a set number of days. A store that fits a package can be quoted soon after we have the facts we need; one that needs an assessment, such as a migration or an integration, takes longer because we review the data and systems first. Our first reply tells you which applies.

Why does a migration need an assessment before a quotation?

Because the work depends on what is already there: how many products, customers and orders, how clean the data is, which addresses earn search traffic and what connects to the store. We review those first, then quote the move, with the old store trading until the new one is tested. A migration is never assumed to be part of a package.

Can you quote a store that another developer built?

Yes, after an assessment. We look at the theme, plugins, custom code, hosting and update history to see what can be kept and what is risky, then quote either the improvements or a rebuild, whichever costs less over time.

Can the quotation recommend a smaller package than we asked about?

Yes, and it will if a smaller package does the job. Basic suits a small range with simple shipping; Standard adds customer accounts, filters, advanced shipping rules and SEO; Premium adds more ways to pay, live search, order tracking and GEO. We would rather quote what you need than the biggest option.

What happens if we want something new after accepting the quotation?

Anything outside the agreed scope is priced and approved by you before it is added, so the total only moves with your agreement. A new feature can also wait until after launch and be quoted as a separate job, which keeps the first build on schedule.

Do payment and shipping choices change the quotation?

Sometimes. Cards through Stripe, PayPal and flat-rate or free shipping are in every package; advanced shipping rules come with Standard, and Apple Pay, Google Pay, Afterpay, a shipping cost calculator and order tracking with Premium. Live rates from Australia Post, Sendle or couriers, and other carrier connections, are quoted as add-ons.

Does the quotation say when the store will be ready?

Yes, it sets out the timing with the scope. A basic store usually takes two to three weeks from the start of work; your content, feedback, catalogue and any extras set the rest of the schedule. A quoted integration or migration adds time as well as cost, and the quotation says how much.

Are hosting, SEO and support part of the quotation?

The build quotation covers the store itself, including SEO groundwork with Standard and GEO with Premium. Hosting, maintenance and ongoing SEO are separate services, listed apart if you want them: see WordPress hosting, maintenance packages and SEO packages. The finished store and its administrator login are yours.

Ask for a written quotation.

Tell us what you sell, how many products you have and how customers pay and receive orders. Our in-house team at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast will reply about your store, recommend a package and send a written quotation, or explain what we need to assess first.
