eCommerce website company for the store's whole life.

An online store needs a design and a build, then hosting, updates, backups and search work for years. DIGITALON can do all of it as one team, or only the parts you want, and here is how to decide.

Problems hide between suppliers.

A store built by one company, hosted by a second, updated by a third and optimised by a fourth can work well, until something breaks. Then a checkout that stops taking payments after an update can become a round of emails about whose fault it is, while orders wait. The more suppliers, the more hand-offs where nobody owns the problem.

DIGITALON designs and builds WooCommerce stores, hosts them on managed WordPress hosting, maintains them and offers ongoing SEO, all from one in-house team at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast. You can use every part or only the build: hosting, maintenance and SEO are separate choices, and the store is yours to move whenever you like.

One company or several: what changes.

Each part of a store's life can sit with one company or be split. Here is what a split means when something goes wrong, and what should stay yours either way.

Design and build: one sign-off

When the designer and the developer work for the same company, the design you approve is the store that gets built. Split them and filters, variations and checkout details are where a mock-up and the finished store can part ways.

Hosting: who answers when it slows

If the store slows down or goes offline, a separate host and developer can each point to the other. With our managed WordPress hosting, the team that built the store also looks after the server, so one team works out the cause.

Updates by people who know the build

WordPress, WooCommerce and plugin updates can change how checkout behaves. Updates made by the team that built the store, with backups taken first, are less likely to surprise anyone than updates made blind by someone new to it.

Search work that knows the store

SEO from Standard is part of the build, and ongoing SEO after launch works best with access to the store's structure and content. One team can change a category or a page title without a hand-off; separate agencies have to coordinate.

What stays in your name anyway

Even with one company, some accounts should belong to your business: the domain, the payment provider such as Stripe or PayPal, courier accounts and your accounting software. We connect them to the store; they stay yours.

When splitting suppliers makes sense

If you already have a host you trust, an SEO adviser you value or your own developer for small changes, keep them. We can build the store and hand it over, or look after only the parts you want.

Start with the build, add what you want.

The packages cover design, development and launch for one fixed, one-off price. Hosting, maintenance and ongoing SEO are separate services you can add, or not.

Hosting, your domain, your payment provider’s transaction fees and ongoing maintenance are separate. The page counts are website pages, not a product limit: catalogue size, product imports, migrations and custom integrations are agreed and quoted before work starts. Compare every inclusion and the optional features on eCommerce pricing, or see website design packages if you do not need a shop.

Your store, your hosting, your login.

Every DIGITALON store is a custom WordPress and WooCommerce build. WooCommerce is free and open source, takes no commission on your sales and runs on hosting you choose, with the administrator login yours from day one.

The shop and the pages that bring shoppers to it live in one WordPress site, edited the same way. You can run it yourself, or hand the updates to the team that built it.

01

No platform commission

Your payment provider charges its transaction fee. WooCommerce itself takes no percentage of your sales and has no monthly platform fee.

02

Hosting you choose

Keep your own host, or use our managed WordPress hosting, sized for the catalogue and the traffic you expect.

03

Care after launch

Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates, backups, security checks and support.

04

One Australian team

The people who scope, design and build the store are the people who answer your questions, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.

From brief to first order.

A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, and we tell you how much before we begin.

Step 01

Scope and price

We agree the pages, catalogue, features and search work, then confirm the package, any extras and the payment stages in writing.

Step 02

Design

You see the design and sign it off before the build starts, while changing a layout is still quick.

Step 03

Build and test

Products, payments, shipping and tax are set up in WooCommerce, then tested with real orders on a phone and a desktop.

Step 04

Launch and hand over

We go live and hand over your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store.

Online stores we have built.

These are stores and online sales sites our team designed and built. They show completed work, not a promise of the same result for every business.

I was very impressed as they were very responsive and helpful as I was a newbie. Good communication with Sabrina who took the time to explain all the process and gave some tips.

eCommerce website company questions.

Cost, GST, services, accounts, fixes, SEO and changing company.

Ask us about your store
What does using one eCommerce website company cost?

The build is a one-off package: $4,990 for Basic, $5,990 for Standard or $7,990 for Premium. Hosting, maintenance and ongoing SEO are separate, each with its own published prices, so you pay only for the parts you choose.

Compare the build packages on eCommerce pricing.

Is GST included in the build and in the services after it?

Yes. The three package prices include GST, and so do our advertised hosting, maintenance and SEO prices, each with a tax invoice. Your payment provider's fees and your domain registration are charged separately by those providers.

Which services can one company cover for an online store?

With DIGITALON: design and WooCommerce development, managed WordPress hosting, maintenance with updates, backups, security checks and support, and ongoing SEO. Payment processing, couriers, accounting software and your domain stay with the providers you choose, connected to the store.

Can we use only some of your services?

Yes. You can take the build only and keep your own host, or add maintenance and SEO later. Each service is separate, so you can start, stop or change them without rebuilding the store.

Who fixes the checkout if it breaks after an update?

If we host and maintain the store, we do: the same team built it, updated it and can see the server, so there is one place to start. If someone else hosts or updates it, they are the first call, and we can help when asked.

Which accounts should stay in our business's name?

The domain, your payment provider accounts such as Stripe, PayPal or Afterpay, your courier accounts and your accounting software. We connect them to the store during the build; owning them means you can change any supplier without losing them.

Which package suits a business that wants one team for everything?

The package depends on the store, not on how many services you take. Standard suits most growing stores with filters, customer accounts and SEO; pairing any package with our hosting and maintenance packages gives you one team for the whole store.

How long does setting up the build, hosting and maintenance take?

A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. If you choose our hosting, it is set up during the build so the store launches on it, and maintenance can start from launch day.

Does one company handle SEO and AI search as well?

Yes. SEO from Standard and AI search optimisation (GEO) at Premium are part of the build, and our ongoing SEO service can carry on after launch with the same knowledge of the store. No one can promise a ranking or an AI citation.

What happens if we want to change company later?

You take the store with you. You own it and hold the administrator login, and a standard WooCommerce store can move to another host and be looked after by any WordPress developer; we hand over what they need.

Let's talk about the whole store.

Tell us what you sell and which parts of the store you would rather not handle yourself. We will recommend a package for the build, explain which services would suit you after launch and confirm every price in writing first, from our team at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.
