Best online shopping website builder? Start with the shopper.
The best online shopping website is the one your customers find easy to search, compare, pay and track. DIGITALON builds custom WooCommerce stores from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast, and this page maps each shopper feature to the package that includes it.
Shoppers judge features, not platforms.
Nobody abandons a cart because of the software name in the footer. They leave because search returned nothing, the filters ignored their size, the delivery cost appeared at the last step, their preferred payment was missing or the order vanished into silence after payment. Those are features, and any comparison of online shopping website builders should start from them rather than from monthly plan names.
So start with your customers. Which of them search by name, which browse by category, who needs to save items for later, who pays with a phone wallet or Afterpay, and who wants to follow the parcel? Once you know, the right package follows, because each one includes a defined set of shopping features and anything beyond them is quoted.
Find, decide, pay, track.
Each step needs at least one feature that makes it easy.
- Search and filters that work
- A checkout that suits their wallet
- Tracking after they pay
STORE
Features you can count on.
Every package lists its shopping features, so nothing is left to assumption.
- Filters and accounts from Standard
- Live search and wallets at Premium
- Extras quoted before they are built
Shopper features, package by package.
Six stages of a customer's visit, the features that help at each one and where they are included.
Finding the product
Product filters and categories come with Standard, so shoppers can narrow by size, colour or brand. Premium adds live product search, with results appearing as they type, and a mega menu for wide ranges.
Deciding to buy
Clear product pages with photos, options and stock come with every store. Standard adds a wish list for saving items, and Premium adds product compare for weighing two or three options side by side.
Accounts or guest checkout
Guest checkout lets first-time buyers pay without a password. Customer accounts with order history, for repeat buyers, come with Standard.
Paying their way
Stripe and PayPal in every package cover Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Premium adds Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay; each provider charges its own fees.
Delivery they understand
Flat-rate or free shipping comes with every package, rules by weight, location and cart value with Standard, and a shipping cost calculator at Premium, so the delivery cost is clear before checkout.
After the order
Premium includes order tracking so customers can follow their parcel. Discount coupons for returning customers come with Standard, and cart abandonment reminders are a quoted add-on.
Shopping features in each package.
Read the cards from the shopper's point of view: Standard adds the tools for browsing a real catalogue, and Premium adds faster finding, more ways to pay and tracking.

- Your CRM integrated
Hosting, your domain, your payment provider’s transaction fees and ongoing maintenance are separate. The page counts are website pages, not a product limit: catalogue size, product imports, migrations and custom integrations are agreed and quoted before work starts. Compare every inclusion and the optional features on eCommerce pricing, or see website design packages if you do not need a shop.
Your store, your hosting, your login.
Every DIGITALON store is a custom WordPress and WooCommerce build. WooCommerce is free and open source, takes no commission on your sales and runs on hosting you choose, with the administrator login yours from day one.
The shop and the pages that bring shoppers to it live in one WordPress site, edited the same way. You can run it yourself, or hand the updates to the team that built it.
No platform commission
Your payment provider charges its transaction fee. WooCommerce itself takes no percentage of your sales and has no monthly platform fee.
Hosting you choose
Keep your own host, or use our managed WordPress hosting, sized for the catalogue and the traffic you expect.
Care after launch
Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates, backups, security checks and support.
One Australian team
The people who scope, design and build the store are the people who answer your questions, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.
From brief to first order.
A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, and we tell you how much before we begin.
Scope and price
We agree the pages, catalogue, features and search work, then confirm the package, any extras and the payment stages in writing.
Design
You see the design and sign it off before the build starts, while changing a layout is still quick.
Build and test
Products, payments, shipping and tax are set up in WooCommerce, then tested with real orders on a phone and a desktop.
Launch and hand over
We go live and hand over your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store.

I was very impressed as they were very responsive and helpful as I was a newbie. Good communication with Sabrina who took the time to explain all the process and gave some tips.
Online shopping feature questions.
Search, wish lists, payment choice, tracking, add-ons, price and timing.
Ask us about your store ↗What does an online shopping website with these features cost?
A custom WooCommerce store costs $4,990 for Basic (6 pages), $5,990 for Standard (10 pages) or $7,990 for Premium (20 pages), as a one-off build price. Features outside your package, such as cart abandonment reminders, are quoted before they are built.
Every inclusion is on our eCommerce pricing page.
Are shopping-website build prices GST-inclusive?
Yes. The three build prices are in Australian dollars and include GST, and the GST is shown on your invoice. Hosting, your domain and payment provider fees are separate.
Which shopper features come with every package?
Every store includes designed product pages, a cart and checkout, guest checkout, card and PayPal payments, flat-rate or free shipping, mobile optimisation and links to your social media. Filters, accounts and wish lists start at Standard.
Do shoppers need live search, or are filters enough?
For a range people browse by category, filters usually do the job, and they come with Standard. Live product search, included in Premium, helps when shoppers arrive knowing what they want, such as a product name or a code.
Can customers save products and come back later?
Yes. Standard includes a wish list and customer accounts with order history, so a returning shopper can pick up where they left off. Reminders for abandoned carts are a quoted add-on.
Which payment options will shoppers see at checkout?
Every package takes Visa, Mastercard and American Express through Stripe, plus PayPal. Premium adds Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay. Choose providers that suit your customers and your margins, because each one charges its own transaction fees.
Can customers track their order after paying?
Order tracking comes with Premium. Live courier rates and tracking connected to Australia Post, Sendle or other couriers are a quoted add-on on any package.
Can we add shopping features after launch?
Yes. Any feature outside your package can be added later as quoted work, so a store can open with what it needs now. Standard and Premium also include keyword and category research with on-page SEO, and Premium adds AI search optimisation (GEO).
How long until an online shopping website is ready?
A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features, integrations and your content and feedback set the rest of the schedule, which we agree with the scope and price.
Who maintains these features once the store is live?
You own the store and receive the administrator login, with one-to-one training in Standard and Premium. Our maintenance packages keep WooCommerce and its extensions updated, and managed WordPress hosting is available alongside them.
Let's map features to your shoppers.
Tell us how your customers search, pay and receive their orders. DIGITALON's in-house team at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast will match those habits to a package, flag any feature that needs a separate quote and confirm a fixed price before work starts, for businesses across Australia.
