eCommerce site development tested before it sells.

A store is not finished when it looks right; it is finished when every order works. DIGITALON develops your WooCommerce store, then tests real orders through each payment method and shipping rule on a phone and a desktop before launch.

Store faults hide past the cart.

A store can look finished and still fail where it matters: a shipping rule that charges one postcode the wrong amount, a coupon that stacks when it should not, GST shown twice, an order email that never arrives or a payment button that misbehaves on one phone. None of these shows up by browsing the pages. They only appear when someone places an order.

So development at DIGITALON ends with testing, not with the last page. Before launch we place test orders through every payment method and shipping rule in your package, on a phone and a desktop, check the totals, the GST, the emails and the stock, and fix what we find. You then place your own order before anything goes live.

What we test before a store goes live.

Development ends with a test plan drawn from your package. These are the checks every store goes through before you place your own order.

Every payment method, end to end

An order through Stripe and PayPal, and through Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay on Premium, from the cart to the confirmation page. We check the order reaches your dashboard with the right status and the provider records the payment.

Every shipping rule, by postcode

Each rule is tried with addresses it should and should not cover: metro and remote postcodes, free-shipping thresholds, heavy items and mixed carts, so the price at checkout matches the rule you approved.

Totals, GST and discounts

Prices are checked with GST included and shown once, coupons in Standard and Premium are tried alone and together, and sale prices against their start and end dates, so the invoice total matches what the shopper saw.

Emails and stock after each order

We check each test order sends the right emails to the shopper and to you, reduces stock and, on Standard and Premium, produces a PDF invoice. Low-stock and out-of-stock behaviour is checked on purpose, not discovered by a customer.

Phones as well as desktops

Menus, filters, galleries, the cart and the checkout are tested on a phone and on a desktop, including how the keyboard, autofill and payment buttons behave on a small screen.

Security and backups, confirmed

Before launch we confirm the WordFence firewall, the SSL certificate and the nightly backups are in place and working, so the store starts life protected and recoverable rather than having them switched on later.

Developed and tested, in one price.

Testing is part of every package, not an extra. The more payment methods and shipping rules a package includes, the more order paths we test.

Hosting, your domain, your payment provider’s transaction fees and ongoing maintenance are separate. The page counts are website pages, not a product limit: catalogue size, product imports, migrations and custom integrations are agreed and quoted before work starts. Compare every inclusion and the optional features on eCommerce pricing, or see website design packages if you do not need a shop.

Your store, your hosting, your login.

Every DIGITALON store is a custom WordPress and WooCommerce build. WooCommerce is free and open source, takes no commission on your sales and runs on hosting you choose, with the administrator login yours from day one.

The shop and the pages that bring shoppers to it live in one WordPress site, edited the same way. You can run it yourself, or hand the updates to the team that built it.

01

No platform commission

Your payment provider charges its transaction fee. WooCommerce itself takes no percentage of your sales and has no monthly platform fee.

02

Hosting you choose

Keep your own host, or use our managed WordPress hosting, sized for the catalogue and the traffic you expect.

03

Care after launch

Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates, backups, security checks and support.

04

One Australian team

The people who scope, design and build the store are the people who answer your questions, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.

From brief to first order.

A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, and we tell you how much before we begin.

Step 01

Scope and price

We agree the pages, catalogue, features and search work, then confirm the package, any extras and the payment stages in writing.

Step 02

Design

You see the design and sign it off before the build starts, while changing a layout is still quick.

Step 03

Build and test

Products, payments, shipping and tax are set up in WooCommerce, then tested with real orders on a phone and a desktop.

Step 04

Launch and hand over

We go live and hand over your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store.

Online stores we have built.

These are stores and online sales sites our team designed and built. They show completed work, not a promise of the same result for every business.

I was very impressed as they were very responsive and helpful as I was a newbie. Good communication with Sabrina who took the time to explain all the process and gave some tips.

eCommerce site development questions.

Cost, test orders, payments, shipping, fixes, timing and updates.

Ask us about your store
What does eCommerce site development cost, testing included?

Development and testing come in the same one-off price: $4,990 for Basic, $5,990 for Standard or $7,990 for Premium. Integrations, large imports and custom features are quoted before work starts, and testing them is part of that quote.

See every inclusion on eCommerce pricing.

Is GST counted in the development price, and in the test orders?

Yes. GST is included in all three package prices, in Australian dollars. In testing we also check that your store shows prices with GST included and that each order's tax invoice shows the GST once.

Do your test orders use real payments?

Test orders go through each payment method in your package the way a customer's would, from the cart to the provider's confirmation and back to the order in your dashboard. Any payment made in testing is refunded, so no one is left out of pocket.

Which shipping situations do you test?

Every rule your package includes: flat-rate and free shipping on Basic, rules by weight, location and cart value on Standard, and the shipping calculator and order tracking on Premium. We try postcodes inside and outside each zone, so a remote address is never charged a metro rate.

Do more shipping rules mean a bigger package?

Often, yes. Standard adds advanced shipping rules by weight, location and cart value; Premium adds the live shipping calculator and order tracking. Connections to Australia Post, Sendle or other couriers are a quoted add-on, and testing them is part of that quote.

What happens when testing finds a problem?

We fix it and test that order path again before launch, as part of the build. If a test shows that a rule you asked for does not suit the way your orders actually arrive, we explain the options before changing anything.

Which devices is the store tested on?

On a phone and on a desktop, with the full checkout tried on both. If most of your customers use a particular device or browser, tell us at the start and we include it in the testing.

How does testing fit into the two-to-three-week build?

It is built in. A basic store usually takes two to three weeks, testing included; integrations, many shipping rules or a large catalogue add testing time as well as build time, and we tell you how much before work starts.

Do you check speed and search settings before launch?

Yes. Pages are checked for speed on a phone, product and category pages for their titles and descriptions, and the store is set so search engines can index it from launch day. SEO work starts with Standard and GEO with Premium; no test can promise a ranking.

Should the store be tested again after updates?

Yes. WordPress, WooCommerce and plugin updates can change how checkout behaves, so take a backup first and place a test order afterwards. Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates with backups and security checks if you would rather not do it yourself.

Let's build a store that works.

Tell us how you take payment, how you ship and what you sell. We will recommend the package, explain what we will test for your store, and confirm the price and the timing in writing before work starts, from our team at Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.
