Create an eCommerce website beyond the marketplace.

Marketplaces and social media can find a seller their first customers, but the platform sets the fees, the rules and how you reach buyers. DIGITALON creates WooCommerce websites that give your products a home you control, at a fixed, one-off build price.

Rented space is not your shop.

Selling on a marketplace or through social media is a sensible way to start, because the shoppers are already there. As sales grow, the limits show: marketplace sales pay the platform's fees, your listings sit beside competitors' listings, the platform decides how you may contact buyers, and a change to its rules or its search results can move your sales without warning.

Your own eCommerce website changes that balance. WooCommerce takes no commission, the design, prices and policies are yours, and customers who order through the site are in your own records. You can keep your marketplace listings running while the website grows, so we plan how products, stock and orders work across both, and how the people who already know you find the new store.

Moving from marketplace to website.

There is no need to switch everything off on launch day. These are the steps we plan so the website and your existing channels support each other.

Bring your products across

If your marketplace lets you export listings, that file can start the import, with titles, descriptions and photos adjusted for your own store. Otherwise products are entered from your own records; large imports are quoted at scoping.

Write product pages for your own site

Marketplace listings are written for marketplace search. On your own website, a product page can tell the fuller story: how it is made, who it suits, sizing and care, with your returns and delivery terms beside it.

Keep stock right on every channel

Selling the same item in two places risks selling it twice. A small range can be updated by hand; keeping stock in step between your website and a marketplace automatically is a quoted integration, scoped once we know which platforms you use.

Give buyers a reason to order direct

Your full range, discount coupons for returning buyers (Standard) and a checkout that remembers their details through customer accounts give regular buyers a reason to order from the website first.

Social profiles that point to the shop

Instagram and Facebook stay useful for showing new products. Every package links your social profiles to the store, so a post can send people to a product page with a proper checkout instead of a direct message.

Hosting, your domain, your payment provider’s transaction fees and ongoing maintenance are separate. The page counts are website pages, not a product limit: catalogue size, product imports, migrations and custom integrations are agreed and quoted before work starts. Compare every inclusion and the optional features on eCommerce pricing, or see website design packages if you do not need a shop.

Your store, your hosting, your login.

Every DIGITALON store is a custom WordPress and WooCommerce build. WooCommerce is free and open source, takes no commission on your sales and runs on hosting you choose, with the administrator login yours from day one.

The shop and the pages that bring shoppers to it live in one WordPress site, edited the same way. You can run it yourself, or hand the updates to the team that built it.

01

No platform commission

Your payment provider charges its transaction fee. WooCommerce itself takes no percentage of your sales and has no monthly platform fee.

02

Hosting you choose

Keep your own host, or use our managed WordPress hosting, sized for the catalogue and the traffic you expect.

03

Care after launch

Our maintenance packages cover plugin and WooCommerce updates, backups, security checks and support.

04

One Australian team

The people who scope, design and build the store are the people who answer your questions, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.

From brief to first order.

A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Extra features and integrations add time, and we tell you how much before we begin.

Step 01

Scope and price

We agree the pages, catalogue, features and search work, then confirm the package, any extras and the payment stages in writing.

Step 02

Design

You see the design and sign it off before the build starts, while changing a layout is still quick.

Step 03

Build and test

Products, payments, shipping and tax are set up in WooCommerce, then tested with real orders on a phone and a desktop.

Step 04

Launch and hand over

We go live and hand over your administrator login. Standard and Premium include one-to-one training on your own store.

Online stores we have built.

These are stores and online sales sites our team designed and built. They show completed work, not a promise of the same result for every business.

I was very impressed as they were very responsive and helpful as I was a newbie. Good communication with Sabrina who took the time to explain all the process and gave some tips.

Marketplace to website questions.

Fees, listings, stock, reviews, price, timing and upkeep.

Ask us about your store
What does it cost to create our own eCommerce website?

A custom WooCommerce website costs $4,990 for Basic (6 pages), $5,990 for Standard (10 pages) or $7,990 for Premium (20 pages), as a one-off build price. Importing products from a marketplace file and keeping stock in step between channels are quoted before work starts.

See every inclusion on our eCommerce pricing page.

Is GST included in the price of our own website?

Yes. The build prices are in Australian dollars and include GST, itemised on your invoice. Hosting, your domain and your payment provider's fees are separate.

How do the fees compare with selling on a marketplace?

They work differently. A marketplace charges its own selling fees on your orders; WooCommerce charges no commission, so on your own website the deductions are your payment provider's transaction fee plus the running costs of hosting, your domain and any maintenance. Compare both against your actual sales rather than a headline rate.

Can we keep selling on the marketplace after the website launches?

Yes, and there is no need to switch either off. The work is keeping stock right in both places: by hand for a small range, or with a stock integration quoted once we know the platforms involved.

Can our marketplace listings be moved onto the new website?

Usually. If your marketplace lets you export listings as a file, that can be the starting point for the import, with titles, descriptions and photos adjusted for your own store. We look at the file before quoting, and large or complex imports are quoted to scope.

Will our marketplace reviews come across?

Usually not, because reviews left on a marketplace stay with that platform. Your website can collect its own product reviews from customers who buy through it, and it can link to the profiles where your existing reviews live.

How will people who follow us on social media find the website?

Through the links you already control: your profile links, your posts and the packaging of orders from your own store. Every package connects your social profiles to the store; Standard and Premium add keyword research and on-page SEO so it can be found in search too, and Premium adds AI search optimisation (GEO). No ranking can be promised.

Which package suits a seller moving off a marketplace?

Standard suits most: customer accounts so buyers can reorder, product filters and categories, discount coupons, advanced shipping rules, PDF invoices and packing slips, and SEO. Premium adds Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay, live search, order tracking and AI search optimisation (GEO). Basic suits a small range with card and PayPal payments and simple shipping.

How long does it take to set up our own website?

A basic store usually takes two to three weeks. Importing listings, tidying product data or a stock integration adds time, and we agree the schedule with the price, so your marketplace keeps selling in the meantime.

Who looks after the website while we keep selling elsewhere?

You can, because the website and its records are yours and you hold the administrator login, with one-to-one training in Standard and Premium. Or we can: our maintenance packages cover WordPress and WooCommerce updates, nightly backups and 24/7 monitoring, on managed WordPress hosting if you choose.

Let's give your products a home.

Tell us where you sell now, roughly how many products you list and whether you want to keep those channels running. We will recommend a package, quote any import or stock link separately and confirm the price and schedule in writing, from Wurtulla on the Sunshine Coast.
